The greatest Ultra Marathon you've never heard of.
This is the story of how Chris & Ken and some other proper athletes dragged themselves across 28-36 miles of the Jurassic Coast on a cold winter night in November.
The event briefing:
The 4th edition starts from Weymouth Jubilee Clock Tower at midnight on November 25th.
You have 480-490 minutes to make it back to the 08:10 Sandbanks Chain Ferry crossing.
There is no finishing before 08:00.
There is no finishing after 08:10.
You are self-navigating, either solo or with pre arranged pair/trio/quad team
You are self supported. Albeit there are contraband stations to visit, some will only have tough love, some will be tempting you to quit.
You must cover as many miles and vertical gain as motivation, current training plans, abilities and future goals require.
Event timings:
Meet in MacDonalds, Weymouth, near the train station at 11:30-11:50pm.
Walk 5 minutes to the start point at the Clock Tower on the promenade at 11:55pm.
Start at midnight heading East to the coastal path, towards Poole.
Route selections:
You are responsible for your route selection, provisions, repatriation, injury, or death.
Sections can be repeated to get more distance and hills before the cut off.
Hills can be repeated to get more vertical gain before the cut off.
