I used all the DecoArt Americana colors listed below. I mixed the paint ratio 1:1 with Floetrol latex based. I did not add water but you can if it is a bit too thick. I added treadmill lubricant to all of my colors except Titanium White and Lamp Black. I mix up the color and floetrol in a cup and then transfer to a squeeze bottle for easier control of the paint. I used an 18"X24" Black canvas straight from the art store but I did put a thin layer of the Lamp Black mixture with Floetrol on it to have a slightly wet base. It is okay if it dries as you paint the canvas. I will give it 72 hours to dry very well and then give it multiple light coats of DuraClear Gloss Varnish allowing recommended drying time between coats. I also use a sponge brush to avoid brush strokes and keep it in a sealed ziploc bag between coats.

I truly enjoyed your process! I appreciated being able to watch you make decisions ... go a different way then make that beautiful, too! I liked just watching you work. There are many who just play music and literally don't speak at all ... they speed it up and I miss all the small moments. The problem with Theresa and the world is that they expect to be entertained 100% of the time and have no ability to enjoy or live in the present moment. Thank you for sharing your present moment and letting me be a part of it. You don't ever need ti defend yourself to those who are small minded ... just continue to be the light that you are! I loved this painting, btw.

Thank you so much... I have done about 700 videos by now. so I am taking some of my favorites (which are always kind of long) and shortening them down to 5 minutes or so with just music so people can enjoy them that way too. But I will always continue to make my videos where I talk and explain stuff in a boring way (lol) because I really enjoy helping others that truly want to learn and not just be entertained

@@SandraLett I am a very realistic artist and often us the old master's Flemish Technique so when I accidentally found your painting and how well it turned out with the amazing pretty colors, I must say I was very impressed. I am not sure I could pull this method off, just because I have tried to paint "loose" in oils and did not feel like I was successful! lol How long have you been doing this and how did you learn? - trial and error? Thank you so much Roena! I have subscribed to you! You are a master at what you do! I am extremely impressed. I am self taught and have watched a ton of videos. I started a little over a year and a half ago. I started my RU-vid channel in December 2017 and opened my own studio December 2018. I am just in love with this free style of painting. I was a decorative artist since about 1997, but self taught as well. I also had the extreme pleasure of meeting and watching Jonas Gerard paint live a few times in his Asheville, NC studio. That was life-changing for me. I LOVE his work. So, I just kind of do my own thing. I usually sell my work through social media and have never been represented by a gallery. I have been in exhibitions, but that is the extent of it. Thank you so much by your kind words. I am very humbled

Just found your videos today, and I love how creative your paintings are! I love watching the acrylic pouring videos I’ve seen but have been feeling that the creativity an artist normally brings to the table is not very apparent in poured painting as most of it seems to depend on what the paint does. Oh my goodness that's so crazy I just found your channel tonight and I wasn't looking at any of the titles.your's is feathers..When I look at this painting and a few others of yours I see tropical plants leaves, flowers I guess it's all about the eye of the beholder LOL and the cells in these are just the right amount. Thank you so much for teaching me a new technique of doing these acrylic pours! I Tried to do feathers but my paint was too thin now I have a very abstract multi coloured artwork I am still happy with but no feathers, you have to have a very good eye as you have keep on keeping on doing what you love. Great to watch.

Just revisiting some of the pour artists of years ago, when I dabbled myself and made such a mess. You really came a long way and I see you were an amazing artist before, which seemed obvious! Hope you are doing well. I went under another name 7 years ago. You have the steadiest hand I have seen. I remember watching so many of these feather videos! I remember trying to find that same rounded tool -could not! Gerard (forgot the last name) did the same technique of course without cells. I remember telling you years ago that it would drive me crazy having to clean that tool so much and waste all that paint! I was using the silicon wedges for awhile.

I used to scrape that tool on photo paper and other surfaces off camera. And made jewelry from the skins. Yes.. Jonas Gerard passed away in 2020. Such a legend. I painted in people's homes from 1997 on... just started the RU-vid thing in 2018 when I started acrylic pouring. I have photos (not digital) of hundreds of jobs I did in homes. That's where I really learned to paint. I always asked God to give me the skills and wisdom in each job. I still do. He never fails me. And therefore, I hope I never fail Him. The tool is in my Amazon list. It's not cheap, but it is worth having it for projects

@@SandraLett ok thx. Just so you know, we will always fail God. We are sinners still in the flesh. Until we are glorified…just like Paul states,,,”the things I ought not do, I do..oh wretched man that I am..who will deliver me”? And we now it is Jesus…once we have our resurrected bodies and are in heaven. I hope you didn’t mind my critique of your angel paintings. I am personally tired of seeing women with angel wings. I know it sells but it isn’t biblical. I am sure you know that there are no women angels in the Bible. It’s a very RC thing. There are demonic angels and angels who are messengers and warriors for God. The paintings are whimsical and what I would expect from a non-believer. Hope that isn’t too harsh to say. And I do know what brokenness is and suffering as well. I watched a bunch if your videos the other day. Suffering leaves many scars that only heaven will heal. If anyone has truly found a way to erase those scars, I applaud them. When a scab is formed, the worst thing is for it to be ripped off. I understand Jonas settled a few s-xual harassment suits.
