The colors for this project are listed at the bottom of this page under DecoArt products. I mix all of my paints with a 1:1 ratio of paint to Floetrol. I add water only if needed (typically the ones in the bottle are fluid enough and do not need water) to get it to a consistency of honey pouring in a stream from my craft stick. I add a drop of silicone (treadmill lubricant) or OGX to each ounce of paint mixture except white and black.

I’m a newbie to this art world. I’ve been watching other videos for about a year, and I’ve only recently found yours. When I saw the finished shot of this one my immediate thought was “a big oak tree trunk with amazing wildflowers growing around it”! I can’t think of the word needed to describe how I feel about it. I want to try to follow your instructions (which are so pleasant and peaceful) and see if I might be able to learn this. I’ve been complimented on the simple works that I’ve done so far, but I haven’t really found my nitch in this wonderful, peaceful and emotional art world. Maybe this is it. Thank you for sharing your immeasurable talent!

Omg sweetie I know I have told you time and time again and that I have watched 100s of videos and I also told you that you are by far my best artist I run to u for everything . We all know God gives us a talent in life as you must know this is yours . You are the best I have literally ever seen and I heard you say flowers are your weak point well u sure can't tell it here that is absolutely amazing and I know whomever you done this for is going to be so excited cause it is truly beyond beautiful . If you cover the floetrel with a nylon stocking wrapped in an elastic you eliminate the lumps! 😉

Quand je vois l'imagination de Sandra Lett je suis Éblouie, je suis sans voix et je me dis comment va-t-elle faire des fleurs au milieu de tout ça ? Et elle étire, elle tapote , elle souffle et hop!! C'est magique (enfin beaucoup de travail aussi) je vois apparaître des choses sublimes, raffinées, ça attise ma curiosité et me donne envie d'essayer à mon humble niveau. J'ai acheté un chalumeau, des spatules , raclettes et ça fait rire mon mari qui doit penser que ça va finir en catastrophe en fait il est habitué à me voir peindre de façon classique, sauf que souvent j'utilise de vieilles cartes téléphonique , alors j'ai envie de faire autre chose et Sandra Lett par sa fantaisie m'a donnée envie d'essayer. Yes... I knew what I wanted to do... She had asked me to do the chakra colors... and had picked out a pour painting. Then I did the last one that was just for fun and 12" square. Well.... she fell in love with it... so I said I will do a bigger one. After doing the 3 larger flowers ... I felt it needed more of that punch of color to pull out more of the chakra colors and it just seemed to fall into place!

Sandra's darlin' I started watching acrylic pour videos about a year ago. This was one of the first. Since then, I've acquired all the supplies that one could ever ask for. I've been all around the fluid acrylic world and back again! There are some instructors that I 💗 but you remain right up there at the top. Swipes are 1 of my favorites to do, and words FAIL ME trying to describe how enamored I have been with this series of swipes, and blows, and the FLOWERS❣❣❣ So off I go now to work at my version of this remarkable example. Sandra Lett you are welcome! But I wanted to ask...did you start this painting with a wet canvas? I didn’t see you put the white down,so I wanted to ask. I tried this last night and it was an epic fail lol. I’ve never done fluid art before, and I have to say, swiping is a lot harder then it looks! Ahhhh I didn’t like my swipe, so I tried again...and ummm nope! Lol probably should have used a clean paper towel the second time. Anyways it was a learning experience, so I just played around with and just kept adding more paint and tried your straw technique and was not the best at that either! Oh well, did get a satisfactory design in the end. Do you have any pointers on how to swipe effectively? Appreciate your feedback. Thanks

No.. the canvas was a dry white preprimed canvas out of the wrapper. If you have never done fluid art before... Dirty pours are usually the best way to start. Learn how to mix your paint first and get good results with the right formula and consistency and cells... then work up to the swiping! (and yes, always start each swipe with it being clean, whether it is a tool or a paper towel or anything!)

They're have gotten a beautiful , beautiful painting for a wedding present ! I love that . It is so colorful and well done. It has so much more with the background flowers you added to this as compared to the inspirational one you did before . Awesome are both.

Gorgeous again!! From watching you I can see that I need to spend more time on the little details that add that finesse. It really takes a piece to that true "artist" level. Not that I am near there yet, but watching others I learn so much. She will absolutely love it!!

Wow! The purple added depth! It looks like delphiniums, and a tree under a shaded canopy. The flowers in the front look like they're in the sun on the edge. Reminds me of being in a rainforest, with those small patches of sun that peek throught the canopy. I'm fairly new to swiping, but I've always liked working very wet on my canvas, so it seems I need to get out my paints and do a swipe today. I've been enjoying your videos for a couple of days. Your work is beautiful! It's fun to think of what I would do at different stages. So much fun! Your work is beautiful! Thank you SO much for sharing! It's great to watch other artists! It gets the gears going, certainly! I love it!

I paint all the time. I have painted for 20 years and acrylic pouring has just been a part of my huge art career for the last few years. I always will do acrylic pours in between other art... but my passion for traditional acrylic art will never go away and I am falling in love with resin art as well

Wow! So very pretty! I love the colors! I am looking forward to you doing the black canvas with all metallics. Colorshift black would also be great in the mix of metallics. One of my favorites is a sort of metallic turquoise color. I used it in some little swipe paintings with, of all colors, burnt sienna and some black on one side swiped one way and white on the other end swiped back. It turned out pretty awesome. With these two swipes with flowers: I really love your leafy shapes you create with these damp paper towel swipes. Really cool! And the flowers you paint in are really a nice focal point!
