I know you've sailed past this episode but roads are super important for ethring, calembel, serelond and annulond. Those territories are huge and important to improve transport across for your plan. A military garrison at fanuilond and amrothian barracks in tarnost are necessities if a defensive battle is to be pitched in the south. I like the strat to hold in the east and south....nobody ever does it and so long as enedwaith doesn't replace isengard as your spam enemy it really will help the camp....you are just losing out on the full potential of osgiliath, minas ithil and ithilien regions for recruitment.

Heads up, waystation says it can retrain minas ithil guardians but it doesn't so use the wisely :D

There is a nice trick to fend off khand. Take the settlement bellow the two osgiliaths, destroy all buildings and sell it to mordor. You won't see any khandish armies get in your way there as well as mordor will only be able to recruit trash. Also get one boat to be able to station the fort bellow the two osgiliaths, to get them in and out when you need them.

Love the intro to give folks larger overview 1st turn. I was looking forward to the expanded roster edition. But. looks like this isn't the most recent updated V5 ?? Bummer. So many factions, including Gondor have a lot of newer, sweet roster options. I believe Dol Amroth is Gondor's from the get go in the newest version update. Enjoy

Quick money making strat for anyone starting as Gondor: Mines in Calenhad and Ethring Port in Lond Galen This will sort out any early financial inconveniences you might face. Have fun with Gondor! Edit: Also, don't forget to make Ethring your capital, you earn around 1000 more gold this way. Corruption grows from distance to capital, so keep your capital in the centre of your realm.

Respect the early game min maxing

I think the rangers don't have the legio thing because they were spawned in a fort in a neutral region as opposed to a settlement.

You can get the fiefdom barracks in a couple of other notable Numenorean cities I think - Umbar probably being the most useful.

Now this will be very interesting. Do you spend capital in the East first or try to bring the Western rural areas up to self-protection and eventually economy? Learning hat on. Please don’t forget cavalry, crappy as it is.

Turn 1 i see you have made the same mistake in your first Gondorian campaign sending the Fanuilond's militia unit to the Mordor front The Pelargir's unit must be send to protect the strait of Anduin. Pelargir is the recrutement center against Harad and Khand not Mordor because the troops need only one turn to go to the soutern front and 3 to the Mordor front .
