I just bought and got it at a Dacia service a few weeks ago, it's a bit expensive but it's worth 100%. Quality materials, super strong and super aesthetic and easy to mount/dismount.
I can't believe I have to remove so many things just to put a simple towbar 😀 I got myself a second hand towbar for about 50€ and will try to mount it on my Duster I, hoping I will not have to take out the entire rear side of the car.
it is possible to install the hook and install the harness without removing the rear bumper. The greatest difficulty is removing the plug and pulling the wires, but it is possible. I did so.
No need to remove the bumper, this guy only did this for demo purposes. I bought my Stinehof towbar and wiring kit for €225.00 in Republic of Ireland. Need to bring an ignition live to the relay, this no problem if the cigar socket supply in the boot is ignition fed, otherwise you have to take it from the fuse board in cabin using a Piggyback fuse tap.
@@cfeesh5422 Yes,,,you are right about that. I still put a switch on the line (in the trunk) as I did want the relay constantly supplied when no trailer connected. I put a 10 amp fuse into the spare space in fuse block marked trailer. That feeds the red wire inside the trim in the trunk on the left hand side.
@@DusterCoolTravels some vehicles have a reinforced metal part others don't. I can't imagine the cars with just foam and plastic could survive even the smallest of bumps
@@chrishart8548 i guess the duster is made this way in order to increase protection for frontal impact with a pedestrian, because it doesn’t have other safety features for that area😁
Some unnecessary things were done : 1. removing the boot protection ( from the lip, inside the trunk ) 2. removing the protection on the right side of the car 3. removing the spare wheel Also, some neccessary things needed to be done : 1. clear the protection ( wax ) on each side, under the car in order to have the towing bar alligned correctly and reapply the protection after it's installed 2. didn't see if they put the spacers ONLY on the right side of the car, for the towing bar
It seems to be an original Renault part but I can’t find the number . magazin.darex.ro/magazin/carlig-de-remorcare-demontabil-dacia-duster-ii-cablaj-7pini/ this is the link from the dealership store
