Dad is smart like a fox . He is standing back to let the sons learn, sometimes through mistakes but mostly by wins! but all ways close by to bail them out if they’re in trouble! Great job dad. 👍😎

The auction results brought back memories of growing up on a farm. My dad loved going to machinery auctions - "it was cheap" - you know how to fix it! But dad, it is in an auction because it is probably worn out!

Good stock of spares never a waste of money cuts out down time but always remember to replenish them when used Farm sales always a good day out

those Box Car Magnums are really good tractors.....195 HP, Mechanical Front Assist, the front tires have life left on them, quick attach hitch, set up for duals, what is not to love......possibly put a cab kit in it, some paint, two rear tires, fix the leaks, and you are going to get a lot of life from that.....well done Peter!.....plus another sprayer.....Peter is ready to do some custom spraying and eager to rent or buy some more ground 😁🤠

Great episode Matt, well done Peter. It’s sad in a way your neighbour had to have an unreserved clearing sale, no matter what the circumstances, there not much fun.

I got a load of parts boxes like yours that were all the same colour, and it drove me nuts. They all look the same and the one i want is always the last one in the pile. So i wrapped different colour electrical tape round each of the handles so i could tell them apart.

I’ve found lots of things at auctions that I didn’t know I needed. Don’t think I ever went that deep though.

Looks like a pretty handy strap trailer. There would be a few old truck blokes who would be very interested in it. I think I have only been to one clearing sale where I thought things were cheap.

in the past the locals would go to neighbours too see if they had a part or two , or could repair a unit , then town services made that obsolete ,,, seems like supply chain issues are forcing locals to revert to being locals again and buy in bulk when it available and self stock again ,,, or even help out a neighbour till the parts finally arrive to restock because a 10$ part could cost 1000$ in down time or more so kudos for the quick bins set ups

I owned a 7130 and loved it. That Cummins motor just pulled forever, no signing off. Had to change oil about 180hrs. The lower linkage pins have sensors in them, there is a workaround, but i can't remember what i did. makes it work but draft control doesn't

i was just thinking about how we're known as "the lucky country " i have come to think there's not much luck involved .or less than we thought. it's a result of our effort and management and attitude .and social structure [not getting your house bombed or shot at ] so you have the opportunity to do a decent days work ,[and get rewarded for it ] and take full advantage of the opportunities that come your way [like dad just did at the unreserved clearance sale . i'd even go so far as to say ,that's it's men and families like these people that contribute to making australia "the lucky country" and i think the great line out of the russel crowe movie "The Water Diviner ' "hope is a necessity where i come from " which shows the spiritual foundation and commitment to the golden rule in it's positive and reverse form ."don't do to others what you don't want people to do to you" as we say here "i'm not pissing in your pocket "[flatter you with the motivation of getting something from you] but at the same time realise who you are and what you have .
