I feel like with all the effort, expense and planning that went into this, why not at the very least put in a door with a window so anyone can see what they're getting into. Or even better a stable door where only the top opens first, and then you can make up your mind whether to unlatch the bottom half.
@DBT1007 rest of life is def a bit of an exaggeration. He got a good 10 15 years tho. Til it gets iffy on his knees. So plenty of time. Plus it's pretty small. Personally would probably use for storage so way cooler idea
Yeah, this is just wild to me. I had a trampoline when I was young, and there's enough potential for injury without the 20 foot drop and hardwood floor underneath. This seems completely insane. How about that sloped roof on the side? What happens when one of the kids gets double-bounced and their head smashes into that?
My cousin had one of those huge ones in her back yard. We all had party for graduation got really drunk and spent all day on the trampoline. I really mean ALL day. I was in so much pain for the following week and couldn’t stand up the day after. As much fun as it is I don’t think I would buy my kids one. Definitely adds to the degenerative disc/arthritis later in life.
I was going to say, if that second story door is ever left open that is basically begging fate for a dead child. Fortunately I trust that social media is fake to the point that I'd wager my life this is a set, not his house
@@jordangoddard6047 When im fully awake it wouldnt be an issue, but thats one hell of a risk if a guest comes over. Even being aware of whats behind that door, won't always save you from rolling an ankle on that trampoline.
yeah wish theres a fluffy cushion under it or smt in case of breaking..idk ...wait nvm why did i think u were talking abt the floor...but yeah the door is just a design(lol)
As a suggestion, can you put foam, sponge, mattress or anything soft under the trampoline? Just in case, remembering that you guys jumped from the second floor, it will be reassuring even if something unpleasant happens
The childhood that these kids get to have is awesome. The fact that mom and dad are willing to do this to their house for the enjoyment of their children is literally priceless.
Replace the floor underneath the trampoline with super soft material cause accidents happen and trampolines can break unless you want the kids falling thru the trampoline and hitting that hard floor, you gotta think outside the box for safety
Let's be real, there is no way for this to be safe even with something soft under. Look where the green pads, covering the springs are. There's a metal lip going around the room that they connect to, and those pads will not save you If you land on that the wrong way. You could easily break something, or even just twist your foot. Especially jumping from the second-floor door. There's a video out there of a kid breaking his leg by landing on a trampoline at the same time a much larger man is jumping off. Something about physics I'm not smart enough to explain, but yeah trampolines are just a bad idea, especially with multiple people jumping on it. Even when things are going as intended you can get hurt on these things.
They could also just put a net underneath the trampoline itself just incase it breaks. I say this because whenever I go to a trampoline park they usually just have a net underneath, instead of some soft padding.
shut up you losers, no one cares about your irrelevant opinions, if u wanna have a 100% safe trampoline might as well not buy one. Its like saying I'm not gonna drive a car cause there is a 0.0001% of being in accident 💀💀💀classic people that find anything to nitpick about.
@@firstdonuts it's pretty easy to explain. When the trampoline fabric is already under tension, it becomes tense. Of course under that circumstance jumping in the fabric already under tension will result in landing on a hard surface or the fabric ripping apart
@@erotic.anim3 LMAO how is that even possible if there was a net underneath then bouncing on the actual trampoline would cause the person to essentially unintentionally jump on that net unless the trampoline was significantly higher and also since the net would be lower than the trampoline you would still hurt yourself because there would not be enough room to separate the net from the trampoline and also use the net to protect you from injury
Yeah and it's stupid unsafe to have multiple kids of there since if both kids jump a little too close to the edge at once what happens? Their jumps go slanted and they both get propelled towards the middle at the same time and they most likely collide in the air and really get hurt.
@celebritykid4711 I'm someone who has treated several children that came in with injuries from trampolines. Do what you want, but just know that this particular setup is not the safest way to enjoy a trampoline.
I grew up near a horse farm and they had a giant trampoline in the barn that you jumped onto from the loft above. Tooooooo much fun. Also my father purchased a used Olympic size trampoline from a neighbor and I spent HOURS on it. Super good for my mind and body. Fun times.
This is a fun Idea, and i know you put the pads there to make it more safe but I feel like they could still get hurt tho I don't know if this is any better but maybe you could put those climbing things that used to be in chuck e cheese where they could climb on the triangles and in different tunnel? Like the trampoline on the bottom and the triangle things going up to a tunnel, idk TvT
If they love them so much, why isn't that a martial arts studio instead? Today's world DEMANDS that you know how to defend yourself. Yet they teach their kids how to jump? 😢😢😢😢. These parents just aren't thinking smart enough.
You're ill-informed. He built that for his excitement not his kids'. They'd be better of with a dojo and/or ballet studio. They'll jump a few times. Then it'll rot in the sun. A Dojo gets used for life if you teach your kid right. And ballet for a little girl stays with her forever long after the room has been changed again.
Well shouldn't he have fallen on the pads too ,if he cares about his children's safety why not check the safety of the safety pad. Seems like he laid out beam work too.
@@ImJustMeanBruh cuz hes probably a good 150lbs more then them i mean honestly kids can bounce back from falling off a fuckin tree , i think this is safe and i doubt theyd be letting them use it all the time without supervision you know?
Bravo to this Dad. I'm 43 & I'm still waiting for my Dad to install a Basketball hoop he bought me at 10 years old. I still won't let his old as& live that down😂
I’d suggest locking the top door and only unlock it when in use and the kids are supervised. Even with the trampoline and padding, injuries can happen without supervision.
@nijamagi1031 yeah why not? It's fun and great excersize. Professional adult athletes already use trampolines on the regular. It's fun to be a kid a little, adults need to lighten up imo
This is awesome, the only thing I would say is to add some padding around the upstairs door frame so when you jump back up your head doesn't catch a sharp edge.
@ Repeated physical stress that doesn't lead to injury, combined with adequate rest between sessions had a name: Exercise. Exercise is good for everyone.
but thats on the first floor door. The second floor door has the handle in the middle like normal. I'd be more worried about them opening that door and falling.
@@1stDrDeadeveryone would pick their dad as the best dad ever (except people with absent or bad ones), but his opinion is probably about that guy being the best dad you can have
