agreed, thought maybe he could go in and remove the sound coming from it so the video is more bearable when its going on. smacking is one of my pet peeves where I hate when people do it around me. annoys the fire out of me. otherwise, cool vid.

My friend is 65 and he had motorcycle accident he has surgery done on his leg rods and pins. And he's out there and one of the trails I mentioned is hartshorne State Park, and he ripps it. Your dad's going to have a smile from ear-to-ear.is he's going to have so much fun and forget about everything but remind him that he has a back problem because that fun can be a little distracting.

I hope your Dad enjoys and rides the hell out of that bike. I am riding a Specialized 26inch bike from 2007. Its a hard tail and has been very reliable. I am getting into trail riding myself but I need to work on my stamina. I go out as often as I can to improve on that so hopefully one day, I will be ready for a bike like the one your dad has. Congrats!!! .....Oh yeah, if your dad is worried about someone stealing that bike off of the back of the car while stopped in traffic I recommend getting a bike lock that doesn't scratch the frame.

Whew!! First off, as a fellow Spinal Stenosis sufferer, I give your Dad MAJOR props for getting up, and wanting to exercise. Congrats, and best wishes on your health and recovery! I just recently decided to get back into it, and bought an MTB too! (Not a Yeti though. YIKES!!) I hope more to commute to work on mine though. Maybe if I can endure thru that, then I'll try doing trails again. I was gonna comment on the gum, but, I see you've been beat up enough about it. You can tell the father likes to maintenance his things. He likes being productive. I like that kind of thing! He should get a go pro 7 black to record all the cool trails and its perfect for the trails since its bumpy the 7 black has the new hypersmooth feature. Could be more content for you and i would for sure watch that.

In reference to a bicycle stolen/car accidents (vehicle reference) you can get them to cover it, just have to check your coverage and make sure you get a copy of the police report....had a bicycle stolen from inside my car 😥 and a couple of guys I ride with have been in car crashes on the way to weekend warrior rides that have totalled their bikes and they were covered....if the other guy drives off....don't know about that...

I'm fifty next year, it is daunting first getting back on a bike after being off one for so long, good on your pops for getting back on the saddle after back surgery. I had the same injury and it certainly is very painful when you get a bad bout of sciatica, I opted for the e bike instead of the "normal" bikes figuring I could use all the help I could get whilst getting the most fun out of the experience. Your dad seems like a nice guy, best wishes for future rips.👍🤘

11:35 yea definitely a valid concern, even idiot smashing into it, I see a lot of drivers drive like drunks. the good thing about this rack is its so high up, it protects the bike more than the lower racks, and it also keeps the carbon away from the exhaust.

Hopefully more riding vids with your dad in the future. Maybe some progression videos and then actually riding with him on some green/ blue trails and then maybe some black diamonds in the future with you behind em wearing a GoPro. 15:10 he needs to get a good chamois boxer and use a thick layer of chamois cream, it's crucial for me, using a thick layer if so I can last 4 hours without it being gone. but I need a think layer or my A hole hurts. but if your butt got abused, zink will heal it fast, for me it's crucial to ahve both, I wear by skin off my fingers due to braking & shifting, so using hand cream or zink really helps. I never ride without Chamois or chamois cream.

NICE ride! I agree with too much advertising. My Intense Primer is a mobile billboard. Conversely, the Yeti is much more subdued. Your dad gets major points for taking control of his health and getting back into something he loves. I hope he has a great time and doesn't get hurt!!! My SB5.5 weighs in at 30.0 pounds WITH Chester pedals. DHF/Aggressor tires and Reynolds carbon hoops. The DT Swiss that came with it added ½ pound. Light, fast bike! Have fun and be safe!!!

he wanted to a more versatile braking system, sram has slightly better modulation

Had to turn off the volume and put on the subtitles. That gum must of been bubbleyum or juicy fruit. LOL. Glad for your dad though. He's gonna drop all kinds of weight and his health will get better in time. Congrats to dad.
