The greatest artists, whether it be rap, rock, blues, whatever, can tell a story. That's what resonates with us. We live in stories. Our lives are stories.
Carl Johnson I was paraphrasing, but that wasn't lost on me. When talking with my dad I don't ever really plan out every bar I want to explore. it's a freestyle of sorts. preciate you tho!
the ironies be the best parts of 3000 sometimes... "By the time I did, heard that you'd had a kid/By some nigga in Decatur who replied, "See you later"/When he got the good news-that's life, shit" the irony of buddy saying see you later to good news. 3000 is a genius the way he phrases stuff.
3000 is goated to me. But I have a Triune GOAT... Pac, 3000, and Lupe. Pac gives you that raw feeling whether its anger, sadness, introspective etc you just feel it. Lupe gives you all the lyricism you could ever want. And 3000 is like the perfect mixture between those two extremes. When it comes together to make a verse like his "Life of the Party" verse its just beautiful.
