My dad has never been a fan of hip hop. It just wasn't his thing but he went to a hopsin show with me a while back and not only did he enjoy the show, the message and the performer. When we got to do a face to face w hopsin he told him "young man you give me hope for kids because you carry a good message and are a good example." It floored me but it was so awesome because now anytime a new hopsin song drops he tells me about it lol. Gotta love bonding over things that you wouldn't expect.

the "please stand by" thing really bugged me tbh, I could see dad was enjoying it and if anything you were a little annoying I think you need to embrace the lyricism the same as dad and then comment at the breaks as he does, I think it will keep fluidity and people wont mind waiting for a response whilst music is being played.
they do that for copytight youtube has a system where they can listen and see that what is playing is a copytighted song so they put that there so that it tricks the system and we can have the videos to watch if they didnt do that this video would be taken down yeah its annoying but if we want this content we have to put up with it

Everyone asking, why the "Please stand by..."? I'm pretty sure it's to do with copyright, he can't show more than 30 seconds at once or this video has a chance of getting copyright claimed and could also lead to their second strike.
The please stand by moments are to reduce copyright strikes, stop complaining unless you just want to hear one small snippet of the song and have them react. Its every 30 seconds. Notice it.

Not true, Hopsin, besides his Ill mind series and recent singles, has not managed to make genuinely clever or deep songs, nor has convinced people that he has staying power, as his recent LP was not very good and his past albums were incredibly underwhelming and at times just painful.
If he didn't do that he has the chance to get copyright striked and he don't want that so it's either this or him only listening to 30 secs of the song
This is the first reaction to this song that made me think of this, when Charlie Pride signed his first record deal and made his first album, his wife put his first royalty check away and told him they weren't touching it because she didn't know how many more were going to come and she didn't want them to start living lavishly and have everything stop one day, they spent what they needed to eat and pay bills and such, the rest got saved, they lived how you should when you make it, humbly, thankfully Charlie Pride made it big enough they could enjoy the finer things in life, tho they never lived lavishly to my knowledge, they never forgot their humble beginnings and never left them, the money didn't change them, that's rare, and an example that should be propped up, his attitude towards life should be praised also, very positive and uplifting
I listened to Hopsin with my mother right before she passed away it was I'll mind 5 and she loved it. she loved PAC and em but really listened to country music and she was a fan immediately. Said I should have my 16 yr old hard headed nephew listen to it Hopsin one of da best out

I like this format. The pauses could have better timing (should be at appropriate moments in the song rather than every 30 or whatever seconds). but its better than stopping to have a discussion and completely take you out of it
Or when he shows the message 'Please Stand By' to have the music play through in the background. I kept thinking my video had started buffering and kept clicking back into it for that reason haha
