@@MyKasero The Witcher 1's intro was a whole lot closer to the way things happened in the book than the show was, actually, TW1 almost recreated Sapkowski's fight scene step by step, as opposed to the Netflix series, which took lots of liberties with the Striga fight, and changed a whole lot of small details and events that ultimately shaped the battle with the princess striga
Well, there are a tonne of amazing trailers that use in game footage. Both from the original game and the expansions. Especially Blood and Wine trailers.
@@HiddenStr3ngth Playing Witcher 3 noone real doesnt remeber that it came out almost 5 years ago. And the B&W... mmm still the best game added to the story game inside card game.
"I carry two swords. One, of silver for the creatures roaming the wild. And another, of steel for human in their city of stones. But both are for monsters." - Geralt of Rivia
"People like to invent monsters and monstrosities. Then they seem less monstrous themselves. When they get blind-drunk, cheat, steal, beat their wives, starve an old woman, when they kill a trapped fox with an axe or riddle the last existing unicorn with arrows, they like to think that the Bane entering cottages at daybreak is more monstrous than they are. They feel better then. They find it easier to live." This is a great quote from Renfri story, this is Geralt's view about human, he thinks some human are worse than monsters.
This reminds me of sitting down and showing my dad all the newest games trailers and gameplay and stuff. he was always broke and honestly half of every one of his paychecks would go to my mom because yknow, child custody and what not. He never got to ay all these games although he wanted to. Even looks a lot like my old man lol!
"So did we skip from Witchter right to Witcher 3?" Well, if he's interested and you guys watch/ed the Netflix series (especially after episode 3!), show him the game intro of the first game =)
man i like your dad, he dosen't talk for nothing only to give his opinion or only when something cool happen, that make your channel go on my whitelist of good reactions
Okay I'll like to clarify some things... 'Dad', if you ever read this, and for all of those having misconceptions... 1) Witchers are an entire race of humans. Mostly humans, though it is not known whether the first Witcher was an elf or not (he probably was...) What happened is that Witcher is kind of like a caste of people, which was created to keep the world of mortals safe from the monsters and demons that were stranded on our world. They kill monsters for money, its not their 'specialty' (referring the 'Night To Remember' reaction), its their profession. Think of it like this; being a chef, its not just the person's specialty to cook but he earns money from it. Just like that, Witchers earn money from killing monsters that threaten humans. There are more Witchers, like a guy called Vesemir and another, younger Witcher called Lambert from the same school that this, Geralt of Rivia, is from. Now, you might ask why we don't see more Witchers? There's an event called the 'sacking of Kaer Morhen(the Witcher keep)' in which Kaer Morhen was attacked by a group of peasants and humans who apparently thought there was dark magic going on in their, kind of like how Christians think that paganic religions were 'Satanic'. Many Witcher died in the sacking, but most importantly, their supplies and herbs and elixirs that were used in making Witchers were stolen and taken away. That is why its no longer possible to make Witchers. (Geralt's adoptive daughter, however, was a Witcher who did not undergo mutations...but that's a story for later.) 2) This is a very common mistake. The Netflix series is NOT based off the games, neither are the games based on the series. They are totally unconnected, and the game follows a canon of its own, several years into the future of the show. The show is actually based off Polish author Andrezj Sapkowski's novel series 'The Witcher'. What happened is that Sapkowski thought that the games would not be 'as successful as movies or series', so he didn't transfer all rights to CDPR. So CDPR, having no rights to the book canon took on a canon of their own, by removing Geralt's memory at the beginning of Witcher 1 (yes, it does exist. You know what, dad could react to the opening cinematic of Witcher 1, that'd be a good idea...) which happens some years after (heads up, avoid the next one line if you wish cause of book and show spoiler) Niilfgaard takes the rule of the Northern Realms. But look, now the Witcher 3 (and pretty much the full trilogy) has critical acclaim, and now CDPR has also won a lawsuit filed against them by the author suing them for 16M. 3) Again, this is a reference to your last video (I didn't comment there cause, you know this one's more recent.) Not all Witcher potions enhance his senses. For eg- there's a potion called 'Cat' potion that allows you to see better in the dark, a potion 'Swallow' heals you, a potion 'White Honey' cancels all toxicity and potion effects, a potion which lets you hold your breath underwater for longer periods, and the 'Black Blood' potion, shown in 'A Night To Remember' makes your blood toxic so that when the bruxa (a type of Vampire) bites him she poisons herself. 4) Signs. You must've surely wondered what were those things he was shooting out of his hand, and you probably know of Aard sign if you've any idea of the show. So basically Aard is a powerful telekinetic blast that throws the enemy off balance. However, that's not the only sign available at a Witcher's disposal. He also has the Quen (a force field which he uses to protect from attacks, he used it in 'A Night To Remember'); Axii, which mind controls or stuns your enemy; Yrden (this one's a useless sign unless you're facing immaterial ghosts or wraiths) which I don't know what exactly it does except force immaterial ghosts and wraiths into material form; and finally Igni which can make your enemy hot under the collar (honestly, the sign name is all you need to know to know what it does). 5) This is just an interesting tale. Geralt actually 'dies' in one of his fights, run through by a pitchfork. How he was brought back, I know not, but I guess you'll find that in the books maybe. I suppose that's all. Honestly, there's soo much to tell about the world of The Witcher that I can't even cover most of it in a single comment, but these are the basics you must know before you dive into the Witcher. Hope I've been able to clear some things you may be wondering about! Oh and yeah, you've missed out on the Sword Of Destiny trailer...please react to it, I mean, you'll like it a lot!
Great!! Now for Witcher 2 Assassin's of Kings Remaster Trailer! Edit: And now that I think about it my own Vesemir(Dad) got frustrated GoT ended the way it did that I thought he's never gonna watch any other fantasy series again... then he saw me playing TW2 trailer on TV and got stoked! We Both watched Netflix The Witcher after that. :)
People often miss that she’s was being convicted for a bunch of things and you don’t know if she’s innocent or guilty. That’s what makes the decisions in The Witcher so great. This is probably one of my favorite trailers. Great reaction Dad??!
U may have missed something. The narrator explains she was caught for killing wounded soldiers, looting dead bodies presumably after a battle, and cannibalism. She was tried and sentenced to death by hanging. Garelt thought the men's evil was the burtality towards the women, rape? and potential death of the women. So which was the greater evil?
He doesn't go after "evil people" more over hes the only witcher that will really intervene he has more humanity left in him than most witchers so when humans become monsters (do horrible things or actually turn into monster through curses) he will kill them because its the right thing to do. For him anyway. The witcher setting has always been that of morale grey.
Well thing is. Geralt as a witcher isnt supposed to choose sides. So he was supposed to ignore this. Those men were his first kill. He expected to kill monsters but he ran into these monsters. And after he saved them the victims detested and were afraid of geralt, their savior.
You failed to note that the other evil is that woman was being punished for a vile act. That she was a cannibal and witch. The trailer perfectly evokes the choices you make may not all be as they seem as you come across them on the journey.
You can clearly see how Superior he is to a normal human and how slow he was in the other trailer compared to a vampire so I normal human stands no chance against the vampire
Awesome. I first saw that by chance the day before it came out like 11pm and then saw it was released at midnight and straight drove to get get.... I knew nothing else about the. But easily my favourite game ever.
