Great video, thanks so much. You have a great dry humor, it shows throughout all your videos. I especially liked this video and the previous video you posted about your Cousin's house and restaurant because you give such great detail about everyday things that matter to real people who live there and you cannot find this information anywhere else unless you are there. I especially like any details with numbers, such as price, size, time, amount, etc. Very cool to learn.
This is a very good clip about your village and reminds me of my late grandfather's Zebra Doves bird singing competition in my country late 80's and 90's before bird flu ban. My late grandfather's birds always win big trophies and some money like your father he will also spend for his family and friends. After he passed away his birds was freed into the world.
Assalam alaikoum oldwatch. Nice video! I thought that your dad raised pigeon to eat them or their eggs but with that video i learn about pigeon competition, very interesting. Is it an heritage from the time when pigeons were used to send letters? Salam from France
In Malaysia different and many kind of competition for birds but I never know about pigeon competition before but I know how important to have pigeon before telegram, phone etc. were invented
in my place...people build bird house so they can harvest bird nest...good for side income but the quality is not comparable to the original bird nest from natural cave
Bapa anda memelihara merpati..bukan untuk sembelihan ye..hanya UTK pertandingan ..di malysia banyak rumah burung walit atau burunglayang2 untuk dapatkan sarang burung...
Can you explain how a pigeon race works? You said your dad's pigeon did Guangxi to Yunnan, 340km, in 7 hours in your video. So that sounds like a one way trip for the pigeon. If you live in Yunnan, how did the pigeon get to Guangxi to start the race? And do the pigeon's all go to the same end point? Or do they just fly back home?
basically the pigeons are raised by the breeder to go back home trip within a time limit (dawn to dusk). the breeders will register their best selected pigeons at the organizer center the few day before. during the day of the race, the organizer will transport all the competing pigeons together with a truck and the pigeon will be released altogether to mark the start of the race. along the way obstacles such as predators (wild hawks), pigeon pirates that catch pigeon to be sold at dark market, bad weather and even feeds when they take a rest somewhere along the path to go back home. whichever pigeon come back home the fastest wins. how do the organizer know which pigeon came back home safely? they have trackers installed and once a pigeon is scanned at their arrival hole as seen at 16:21 , their numbers are counted digitally. to raise the chances of getting top numbers, richer breeders will send even more trained pigeons. well-trained pigeons are very pricey because rich breeder wants the winning pigeon of course so they can breed the best ones later. pigeons that survives the race will be taken care well and could live many years, bringing honour to the family + winning money.
Gentle reminder for us. The Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) indicates that it is obligatory to let the beard grow and that it is haram to shave it or cut it . The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Cut the moustache and let the beard grow; be different from the unbelievers.” (al-Bukhari, al-Libas, 5442; Muslim, al-Taharah, 382)
@@hhhahahhhahha Al-Imām al-Albānī - may Allāh have mercy on him - said: “Shaving the beard is a calamity. And it is, without a doubt, sin and disobedience and in opposition to the Qur’ān and to the Messenger. And in doing it is imitation of the disbelievers and the women.” [Silsilat al-Hudā wan-Nūr, tape 3]
what is the history of pigeon raising and racing in your community? i guess it must be related to the history of your ancestors serving in the military and raising pigeon messengers for the emperor or army or something??
better you speak chinese the viona translate for us.. next time when you roast sheep or lamb.. collect all bones after eat then you can make soup like sell at mamak..
Many Malays may not know how Chinese Muslims came to China. Many people think they are descendants of Arabs, but this is not the case. In the early 13th century, the Mongol Empire marched westward to the Muslim world in Central Asia and the Middle East, destroyed the Arab Abbasid Empire, massacred Baghdad, and killed the last caliph. During the westward expedition, some craftsmen and women who remained after the massacre were taken as slaves to China to serve the army. Most of these slaves were Persians, Khorasans, and Khwarezmians, so the earliest language of these people was Persian. After hundreds of years, these people survived in China and formed the Hui nationality. In fact, this process was extremely tragic.😠
