Oh my god I only did high school German and I can already tell that all the German folk in chat and comments are either giggling like ninnies or cringing like crazy. I'm serious, 90% of the German people I know LOVE this sort of stuff, watching us English speaking dopes struggle with our 3/4 origin tongue. This is entertaining on so many levels

It's a good practice if you really want to learn another language. When I learned English I switched everything I use into english and force me to get used to new characters. Which had helped alot for me!

@@DanteEhome for sure. I very well may learn other languages and immersing oneself is like forcing oneself to get the hang of it. Like going to an area where people only speak that language. I learned some Spanish in high school but was busy and more interesting in other things. I just know some vocab so I’d be able to pick it up quickly. But idk what languages Id want to learn. Fortunately being born into the English language I already know the or one the most known/spoken languages

Since 'Vater' would be the direct translation of 'father', I'd translate 'Daddy' to 'Pappi', which is pronounced exactly like 'puppy'

As a german I'll never forget Trump trying to pronounce "Feuerteufelchen" correctly... which ended up sounding far more like fewertyoufelshen XD Love it tho and I am not blaming or anything, actually this is comedy in its prime... and I wonder if any English-speaking germans sound to you like German-speaking Trump does to us 😂😋

I used to have it in German when i started playing hs,there's a lot of familiar voices that i heard from dubbed movies,shows etc.Germany does voice acting/dubbing really good,i learned German in school but now im a bit rusty, while i still can understand everything,read and speak it,writting is a little difficult for me now so i always favored German over the original,in movies,shows and games but then i switched to English for some reason and it sounded better and i got used to it,not that the German version is terrible,far from it,for me the best version of hs after English.I mean who wants to hear the battlecries and stuff in polish,portuguese,french,chinese and in whatever else language you can set hs,it's been years since i played hs though

I love when you do this, I'll always remember the angriff moment. Next rotation/set you should try this in a non germanic language with different characters. It'll really test you at remembering the cards.

Fun episode. Loved hearing the character voices in different languages. If you want to see a fun but infinitely more complex series, i recommend Yu-Gi-Oh Without Reading by DZeeff. They put the cards in japanese and have to build a deck from random cards. Those cards are much more complex, so nonsense occurs.

german "u" sounds like sometimes "uuuh" does in american english (not the questioning one like "uuuh what do you mean?" but the "uuuh sweet stuff!" one). That's just the sound of it tho, it's not that prolonged. The streamer Ludwig is most likely from nordic descent, judging by his full name Ludwig Anders Ahgren. Can't tell for sure but i guess the u is pronounced a bit different there then it is in germany. Closest approximation for ¨Ü" (also Ä and Ö) i can think of is "eeeew" - but instead of making that kinda throat-y high pitched "e" sound, you do it with a, u and o instead. I'm listening to this in the background and it's so funny, sometimes i have to more or less guess what you just said, despite being a native german speaker :) Keep up the practice and thanks for the vid
