I think its hilarious that despite Nolan failing to grasp the ethics of morality and accountability and forgiveness, the fact he is ATTEMPTING it puts him above everyone else on Viltrum. It's very important that the way you see the "bugs", constantly ragging on them as less than human, seeing their lifespan as miniscule? That's how Omni-Man saw humans. That is the point of the Thraxans, for Mark, as a human, to understand what coming to Earth was like for Nolan.

We are the bugs. The only difference is we're seeing it from Nolan's perspective. For him, a humans life span isn't that different to the Thraxans in his eyes but for us we get to see a species that can die off 10 generations in a few years. We are like the viltrumites to these bug people so the question is is it worth saving such a worthless species? Can we see things from Nolan's perspective and still hold that same answer?

I found your channel kinda randomly I think it was Vox Machina reactions months ago, and I don't watch vtubers much so to be entirely honest I had some negative preconceptions of what vtubers would be like coupled with reaction channels not usually being all that high quality, I did not expect much from your channel truth be told. The baseball scene was my favorite one to showcase the way Nolan was before Debbie. He doesn't understand why Mark playing baseball is such a big deal and can think of all the better uses of his son's time but the second he sees him hit the ball and start running Nolan starts cheering for him with pride.

i've read the comics and i'm sooo excited for the future episodes. the writing is phenomenal with this story! it tackles heavy topics with so much emotional maturity and can make it feel so real. things get a lot more interesting from here, looking forward to your future reactions!

Kinda weird they added that storyline with the Mauler clones. I don't mean the side plot is weird, it was in the comic, but in season 1 the Mauler Twins said that "We cannot know which is the clone and which is the original, it never ends well." This episode just showed how easy Nolan went on Mark. If he really wanted to erase Mark, he could've. Also, Nolan was shown to be a writer in the comics, but it was probably cut out of season 1 for time.

The maulers not knowing which is the original was always stupid to me. If they both have the same memories, both of them would remember laying on the same side of the machine during the process. So like if the original was on the left side of the machine, they’d both remember laying down on the left side and therefore know which is the clone since one woke up on the right side.

You are correct about killing a Viltrumite. Books Nolan wrote were his actual adventures in space. In the comics Mark will go out to seek things that managed to hurt Nolan in the past, but IIRC won’t find anything worthwhile.
