Well Mathis if you actually read YOUR Bible - it clearly says that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Earth is NOT billions of years old, that's that phi-LIE-sophy that Bible tells you NOT to believe

JM making jokes, but actually exposes his bible ignorance. BUT in his rambling and joking, he made an accurate statement concerning the earth (or universe) being possibly billions of years old. The universe was definitely not created in six 24-hour days. That's ludicrous and not what the Bible teaches. Genesis 1:1 is the only verse in the Genesis creation account that speaks to creation. Days 1-6 speak to the preparation of the already-created earth for human habitation. Genesis 1:1 does not give a time period. The universe could possibly be billions of years old. That actually makes more sense, scripturally, scientifically, and common sensibly. The "common sense" that humans were created with, but not used a lot in these days.
