Can we have non-MMA fans reacting to something other than just knock outs? It'll be interesting to see them react to some wild and technical takedowns, trips, scrambles, submissions etc.
@@harveygray7633 I understand that not everyone would appreciate the intricacies of the grappling art. But still, I do feel that there are grappling exchanges that would still catch the attention of non-MMA fans. Makachev vs Tsarukyan comes to mind for me.
One guy literally said “it’s like amateur wrestling, yes it’s real and hard but who wants to see it “. They would be bored to all hell. Even a tech striking match might throw them off

Bro started talking about the inherent aggression of people being taking away from crime when the 2 tall black niggas were fighting. I'm not saying anything I'm just saying

My dad watched his first card w me for 281. After chandler and porrier he was on his feet screaming at the tv during the Izzy fight and we both were screaming when Izzy lost:/ I’ve turned him into a mma fan!
@@chronopheonix589 I had been wanting a pair of the ufc green champion shorts that he wore a few fights but they’re just too expensive for me to pay for a pair of shorts😭, after Izzy won my dad said “fuck it Ik buying the shorts”😭😭we celebrated hard man it was beautiful
@@caidenonfridge8826 Ive never used ticktock before. I think I've nailed why I think I recognise him though, I think he looks an awful lot like a British male version of Alieen Wuornos.
In all these videos someone always says “are the punches after they’re knocked out really necessary” all I can think is Jorge Masvidal saying “they were super necessary.”
Think a better selection of knockouts could have been shown. Seems a lot of these were just the most brutal KOs that you could show. Some technical stuff would have been nice to show these layman that that it's not all just blood and glory.
3:08 main reason they are still punching is to make sure they don't recover before the ref stops the fight. Look at fury getting up after that bomb from wilder and tell me it isn't necessary.
Please NEVER put a distracting stereo track over people who you can't really hear now. I had a headache in 2 minutes. 1) You can make it less wide with Voxengo MSED it other mid/side tools. 2) It might get muddy, though. At times it can be helpful to set your track to just one channel and make it mono that way. Tracks get way back in terms of perception of they are narrow, and they are more noticeable if they are wide. 3) If that doesn't help, use a high shelf in an EQ, lightly, to bring the music down: this could make speech now legible. You usually don't have problems with sound, please don't get mad at me. :)
Despite making up 10% of the roster, female fighters getting knocked out took the majority of this video. I wonder why everyone thinks the best line here is "waiting for women vs men" like god how bad do you wanna hit women?
Why? So y'all can do what men already do globally to women? Did you forget men's violence are killing thousands of women each year? Really concerning how much y'all want to hit women.
I'd be interested to see the kind of people who think MMA is all GnP, and ultra violence watching actual technical striking and submissions tbh. I know it's the "it's only 1%" cliche is overused, but like, to watch these videos you would think that every UFC card is just three hours of people getting abused for money.
An equal society doesn't mean everyone is treated the same, it means everything is treated *differently* to ensure they get the same basic opportunities. If we treated disabled people the same as others, that would actually *deny* them opportunities and access to services, which would be *inequality*. Conversely, it's perfectly acceptable in an equal society to prevent people who simply aren't able to do something, from doing it. You wouldn't put someone with a profound hearing difficulty on the 999 emergency lines, for example, and it wouldn't be discriminatory to deny them the job or to dismiss them. This idea that if women are equal now then they should fighting men on men's terms, is just ignorant and a total misunderstanding of how equality works. That said, I wouldn't be against mixed MMA provided it could be made safe, i.e. if the rules removed the natural advantage men have by ensuring both fighters were evenly matched in weight, size and strength. In that promotion, a lot of guys would get their arses handed to them on a platter.
Brother I feel the same way about my but if you jumped in the cage with her she would put that boot up your backside not the other way around, she is a trained fighter. And as far as hitting a downed opponent that is mma you do it or you have it done to you it's not boxing it's mma.
While its great when fighters recognize the job is done and refuse to land further hits, it's true that it's not their job to protect their opponent. Their job is to win. It's the ref who is supposed to protect a downed fighter, and there's nothing more awful than when they fail at the job.
My bloke said he’d like to see men vs women .. mate that would be MURDER not a fight lol. Unless it’s an untrained guy who has never fought in his entire life vs a pro MMA women fighter then ig that would work lmao
If its just an untrained guy that weighs the same as a pro female fighter he would lose just as badly or worse as the pro female fighter would if she fought a pro male fighter...
At least Max and Martyn had some idea what they were taking about and had some interesting reactions. Sean was simply an old school misogynist "women shouldn't do the same things as men".
They’re have been more serious injuries in boxing and the guy talking about people in wheelchairs hasn’t got a clue go look at all the amazing vets who are in wheelchairs
I hate when they don’t show UFC fights. That’s like trying to introduce people to basketball and instead of showing NBA highlights you show some bs from overseas or something
@@ajay7797 it's not like they're showing them some underground Dagestani shit with some 45 year old substitute teacher getting his ears knocked off by a young up and comer. They were showing other major organizations.
@@ajay7797 I'm just saying they're at least mid tier organizations. There were definitely some sloppy fights in here, lol, but all I mean is they could have shown worse clips.
