Especially dragons because true Valyrians rely a lot on dragons for their control, and killing an already endangered species on the verge of extinction is beyond traitor like for your own house. He would respect his forebears and follow the ordered line of succession instead of supporting a foolish drunk acting like your house's main character Aegon the Conqueror and even wearing his crown for usurping.

Yes. Now he's "bound" to Vermithor too. Now Vermithor fights on Daemon's side. Then after Daemon died, you can see Vermithor doesn't fight for the blacks anymore

​@@greenforce68 the reason is probably the fact that Daemon likes dragons in general and treats them with respect, and also that Vermithor is not just any dragon. It's his father's dragon. Daemon could have easily seen Vermithor and got to know him even before or after he was bonded with Caraxes. That's probably why Vermithor "greets" him and is not trying to do anything. He is spitting fore and growling, but that's probably his equivalent or saying hello rather than trying to intimidate Daemon. Maybe he sang to him when he was younger and his father was still alive too. He treats any dragon with respect really

@@rosamunddrag8971 Vermithor was his grandfather's dragon. His father's dragon was Vhagar. But dragons are not horses. Look at what happen to Joffrey Velaryon. Syrax doesn't care he is Rhaenyra true born son nor that Vermithor would care Daemon is Jaeherys grandson. Dragon is not a dog, it's a crocodile. Trying to touch a dragon is as dangerous as stroking a crocodile. Dragon's temper is unpredictable. You'll see how dangerous they are in season 2 bcs that's the whole point of this series. That's why Alicent was so mad at Aemond when he went to Dreamfyre's lair. Even Daemon slowing down his steps after he senses Vermithor, he shriveled a bit

@@greenforce68 dragons are a lot more intelligent than crocodiles. They feel people's emotions. Caraxes literally comes to Daemon when his rider needs him. They have emotional links to their riders. Even Rayhnera said that Syrax is protective of her. That's not crocodilian nature. That's more of a dog or a child. It's a pet, an animal companion for life

Daemon is just trying to 'wake' the dragons beneath dragonstone up. He will soon be sending worthy people to claim these dragons to fight the Greens

Here he had nothing to fear really. Vermithor could sense a familiar blood in him, as well as the fact that he probably saw him countless times before. I see his behavior as more of a saying hello than anything else. It's Daemons father who rode the bronze fury. Maybe Darmon also sang to Vermithor when he was younger along with his father

It's Vermithor, they tried to tame Cannibal many times and I ended up killing everyone who tried, if it was Cannibal he would have killed Daemon. Instead Vermithor was once trained and ridden.

Vermithor was the mount of Daemon's grandfather. The only reason Daemon was not burnt is because he sang the song his grandfather used to sing to this dragon. Jahaerys and Vermithor were very close, just like Aegon and Balerion, Daemon and Caraxes, Visenya and Vhagar, etc.
