Yeah, the first face you match to Aemonds is Daemons, cause they are so similiar from their outward appearance and their characters. Aemond literally is Daemons mini - me, his younger self, we all thought that while seeing these two actors connect with each other in this scene.
Why shouldn't he be likeable? He loved his brother and hated the fact that he was being shoved around according to Otto's will. He never truly cared about the throne. He really wanted to serve his brother his way. He even never opposed the fact that his daughter was chosen as the next ruler. He was sad for sure, even in the battle of the narrow seas he had to take action because a) he wanted glory ofcourse and b) the council and Otto made the king take stupid decisions

@@IceMaidenxx3 dude, Jodie Era started great and started going downhill, I have always like the messages that dr who was Subtly hinting at but the storyline started going down. Seriously the dr as that weird child and then killing off her mother, when you could have had a great villain, for a weird villain that came put of no where and left just as quickly. Watch Matt's or David or even Peter's seasons, everything was so Subtle and the plot twist and then closing of a storyline or even just temporary resolving it was done great. Here everything is tacked onto one and done episodes. And now that they got a gay guy, and I am not saying that dr who can't be gay and it was always hinted but it was very in a likable way. The way this was going before I took a sabbatical was that they were throwing it in your face. Next doctor probably a trans, with that weird ass backwards propaganda about them being real women or men. Or worse, the pronouns crap.
i really love how daemon sighs as if he just realized he's dealing with a person who have the same exact personality & attitude like him when he was younger. "i was THIS troublesome back then, huh?" type of sigh.

Indeed. And that by sheer respect instead of fear. Although Aemon halts out of respect, he thinks trough the situation. Realizes he will not win that fight. And just walks off with a shrug. While Daemon looks him down like, yeah not yet little one. Maybe someday.... It does show that Deamon does respect Alicent's children as part of the Bloodline "family". He just doesnt care for the hightowers. According to the law of this world, everybody disrespecting his family ends poorly. Almost everyone in this scené is guilty of that. It will end bad for most of them. I hope poor Helena will get none of it. I do get a feeling that the poor girl will suffer for her family feuding.

@@Kai_soze no they're not meant to be Kings. Daemon should've been Viserys hand, his right hand man. Daemon would've sought to protect viserys with his own life if it came to be but he felt betrayed however due to his attitude and disrepsectfulness towards anyone not a dragon really made it hard for Viserys. He really saw the error of his ways from when his wife whom I believed he loved, killed herself with dragonfire due to complications from birth showing him the pain he caused his own brother. He also sees how the crown and kingship is harsh on the body and comes to regret his decision to leave his brother behind.
@@capitalizingcapitalist1202 what I’m saying is that the second heirs in their case both Viserys/daemon and Aegon/aemond the second born brothers ended up stronger, less spoiled, ruthless and would’ve been much better kings. They ended up that way because they indeed were second born. The first born gets coddled and are told they’re going to be king one day, they usually end up spoiled or drunk like Aegon was. Daemon and Aemond were absolute killers and would’ve ruled better than their older brothers.
Without so much as a raised eyebrow (which to be fair, he doesn’t have) Daemon’s presence is conveying, “Boy, have you lost your mind? ‘Cause I’ll help you find it!”

They are not the same, lmao. Daemon definitely won that fight, even if he did die afterward (still unconfirmed).

Aemond never expected that Daemon was going to kill both of them. When Daemon jumped onto Vhagar, Aemond was unable to defend himself from Daemon due to being chained to vhagar. If Aemond and Daemon had a 1v1 sword fight, Aemond would win. Aemond is too fast, agile, explosive and has superior swordsmanship than Daemon.

@@anikethchakraborty3238 I would disagree actually. He regrets killing Luke and in fact didn’t even want to kill him. Damian honestly has almost no regret for the horrible things he’s done unless it pisses off someone he cares about. Aemond wants to be tough and appear dangerous, but Damian actually is dangerous. That’s the difference.
Daemon lift a finger. His four baby dragons back slowly and he turn to allow their mother to decide their punishment. Turn around to look at this baby out of control dragon. Daemon gives him the look “Man I’m not the rotten sponge of your father. Get your ass out before I smack the other eye out of your face” Even alicent lower her eyes submissively to Daemon. In this scene we get to see Jacearys, Luke, Baela, and Rhaena’s upraised with two active parents. And Aemond and Aegon II with two absent ones.
I can’t stop watching this. Insane acting from the two of them, not a word was said, but so much was felt and said with their facial expressions alone. Marvelous job.

I’m really impressed with the job of casting directors, they found the perfect artists for Targaryens, the actors even have Habsburg jaw without any makeup
How daemon effortlessly intimidates everyone is a truly awesome. He doesn’t yell or do anything threatening like drawing a sword or putting his fists or pushing, stares down both his stepson/nephew and his other nephew puts himself in front of them and stares with that smile.
I live how Daemon just stepped in front of Aemond and was like "You have to get through me first" for Rhaenyra's sons. Seems like he would make a great dad.

He plays his part in "The Last Kingdom" well also. Talented actor for sure. It is about older times Danish Vikings, England, France, Etc. Great show if you haven't seen it. Still active and I think 6 seasons out.
