This clip just made me realise its not honour and pride that she stayed and fought Vhagar after Sunfyre went down but she had the chance to prevent this fight from even happining and she didnt take it - this was her making amends as much as doing what she could to Vhagar, huge respect

Being a Kinslayer is a terrible dishonor; this is someone who’s lived their entire life by a strict moral code and of virtue, like her brother King Viserys the Conciliator. If she had just mowed down half her family by dragonfire in the pit, she would forever be known worldwide as the Kinslayer and queen that never was that killed half her family out of retribution for her stolen crown. She had hope until the very end that it would be solved diplomatically. People seem to gloss over that part in their “she could have prevented the war by killing her family” rhetoric.

@@davidmasters8601 not really. She was well past that point and fully prepared to spill blood. By virtue of the fact that she sided with Rhaenyra, she showed she was prepared fight against kin. The only reason she did not slay them in the kings landing dragon pit was because she believed it was not her kill to make. It feels like people are not watching the same show as me when they say stuff like that other commenter. Like how are they missing such obvious stuff?

What? Literally all of her dialogue about the war is telling you that she wants to do everything to prevent it, she is always the most sane person in the room, she literally told Daemon in episode one after Luke was killed that they should show restraint. Of course she wants to solve it diplomatically, of course she wants to avoid spilling blood at all costs. You might be right about one thing, everyone else is watching a different show, I don't know what one you're watching. You're not smarter than everyone else.

Epic scene. Amazing performance by Rhaneys and Meyles. Just can’t help but think, if she ended the war before it started during Aegon’s Usurp Coronation, she would still be alive, the greens line would be wiped out and the blacks would emerge. The irony in that really sucks now that she’s the latest casualty of the war amongst the greens and the blacks.
