Dagoth Ur is distraught and a little unhinged that The Elder Scrolls VI is still half a decade a way, and that Fallout 5 and Starfield may not come out for centuries...
Bro the last original game was Fallout 4. How does it take 8 years to make Starfield? Were they just on vacation for all these years with their remixes, only the actually pick up the pace these last couple of years??? And fans want TESVI not Starfield anyway
It's unfortunately not as simple as a '20 years gap between TES games' and more that it will have been ~5 years since Starfield. They can't work on all these different things at the same time. Oblivion, 2006 --> 2yr gap Fallout 3, 2008 --> 3yr gap Skyrim, 2011 --> 4yr gap Fallout 4, 2015 --> 8yr gap Starfield, 2023 If anything, a 5yr gap after Starfield will be really nice compared to the 8yrs we've had to wait since Fallout 4. But I agree that the reality is sad, and it'd be great if we had 3 Todds so that all these IPs could be developed simultaneously somehow.
We could crowdfund enough cash to buy Ultima IP back from EA. Have Richard Garriot blow a couple million taking vacations and still make a game faster than tes6.
Instead of re-releasing an updated Morrowind or Oblivion like everyone wants.... 🙄 Thank God for the Skywind and Skyblivion modding teams. They'll likely be done long before ES6 finally comes out, and the previews and demos we've seen look amazing 👍
Holy shit, it's crazy just how good this AI voice has gotten. I remember only a couple months ago when it seemed like it wouldn't get any better. This voice is so convincing, it's not even monotone anymore.
I was like in the 5th grade when I first played skyrim back in the day now I'm moving into a home with my gf in a few days . I was barely a pre teen when skyrim came out 🙃
@@segamegadrive3903 it really is. We were in high school playing Skyrim and we will be dealing with a mid life crises playing tes6, then by the time tes7 hits we will be grand parents. It’s bull
I'm 26. Skyrim came out when i was 15. ever since i've been watching my favorite youtuber making playthrough for 15 years and now he moved onto other games with joy and humor. Now i'm wondering if i'll be still in my thirties when the next elder scrolls game come out.
I played Morrowind when I was 10 or so. I was 13 or 14 when Oblivion came out, 18 in university when Skyrim came out. I'll be 30 in a month. This rant is on point
@@friedchicken1863 bruh fallout fans haven't had a good game since new vegas. I'd rather have nothing at all than get spat on with 4 and then bitch slapped with 76
@@plugshirt1762I won’t say 4 was The Best Game ever but it was still an enjoyable experience to many, with 76 the issue with Fallout actually going bad as a series really starts there because the devs legit didn’t wanna work on it and the final product shows in general.
Wait... so they gave us that reveal trailer with the panning shot for elder scrolls 6..... years ago, and now they are telling us it's half a decade away. What is this?
Another way to put it: by the time tes 6 comes out, that kid named dovahkiin will be old enough to name his own baby after the next elder scrolls protagonist
Meanwhile, the Eternal Champion and Hero of Daggerfall are playing bingo while sipping tea, keeping themselves alive via magic but not caring in the slightest what happens to the world anymore.
I was in middle school when Skyrim came out, now I own my own home and have already graduated college. By the time Tes6 comes out, I'll be a father or possibly grand father
I was four when Skyrim came out. I’m about to go into my junior year of high school. The trailer came out over four years ago and I’ve moved twice. What the actual hell
The sad thing is I was in middle school when I heard about skyrim now I'm 19 nearing to 20 and the sixth installment of the elder scrolls will not even be out yet. And the dadra god is completely correct.
It only took 4 years between Morrowind and Oblivion. 5 years between Oblivion and Skyrim. And now you’re telling me it’s gonna take almost 20 years for the next one!? Did Randy Pickford take over!? Is this gonna be another Duke Nukem Forever situation!?
Was 6 when Skyrim came out, played it the week it came out with my brother and loved it, 12 years later im graduating and there has not been a new game and Im still playing and loving it.
I bought Skyrim as a birthday gift for my dad probably around 2015. It’s 2023. 12-13 years after Skyrim came out, and Bethesda is asking for 5 more years. They released Morrowind 6 years after Daggerfall, Oblivion 4 years after Morrowind, and Skyrim 4 years after Oblivion. TES6 had better be the best game in the world or else I will go to Bethesda HQ, steal the heart of Lorkhan from Todd Howard, become Dagoth Ur 2.0, and curse humanity to live forever and force Bethesda to slave away creating Elder Scrolls games for the rest of eternity.
I do not want to sound disrespectful, lord dagoth ur. But you surely been mistaken when you say 800th playthrough? Surely you didn't have 800 playthrough of Skyrim. Such meager number are what they call on street "rookie numbers"
People are flexing their 9th playthrough while my dumbass is still on my first playthrough and i accidentally deleted half of it i was at save number 170 and deleted it and now i am back at 104
He's been too busy playing his 4000th play through of Morrowind. He's a god, How can you question a god? Such a grand and intoxicating innocence. Is this how you honor the 6th house and the tribe unmourned? By thinking the Sharmat would sully himself past rookie numbers with a game that lacks his divine presence? What a fool you are.
I was like 12 when I first played skyrim on my xbox 360. I'm 22 now and with the way things are going I'll be 30 by the time the next elder scrolls comes out my god.
The most fucked up thing about all this is that people are still looking forward to more games from Bethesda. People have learned nothing and will keep rewarding them for castrating these great franchises because the most basic open world game is more than enough when it comes to ""roleplaying" games.
I remember pretty clearly the first time I played Skyrim. I got it out of a Redbox when I was in Third Grade and instantly fell in love with it. I’m now 21 going on 22, Skyrim has been in my life longer than it has not been. Bethesda does not honor the sixth house
I won't lie, I don't mind them delaying it for several galactic orbits, but it also has to be the greatest fucking game ever made with the largest most detailed map ever put in a game and a main story that makes me fucking WEEP. Anything else and I will write VERY angry comments under every official trailer.
It's definitely going to need to be GOTY for the next DECADE. Where absolutely nothing can touch it's beauty. Where modders don't need to patch it, but will gladly tack on their own work in appreciation.
@@Maniacman2030 Bro is acting like he never played a fucking Bethesda game lmao. Point me to a product that doesn't need to be patched by fans to work well.
At this rate Bethesda will be taking over the 'confirmed' meme from valve. They officially killed half life 3 as an option so now we must look to bethesda for TES6 confirmed conspiracy theories at this rate.
They did this between Skyrim and oblivion. They said "at least 10 years" but it was only like 6. Triple AAA devs try to aim for one big release a year. So es6 will probably come out next year or 2025. Remember shirley curry? They made her into an NPC like 10 years ago... i doubt that's the only work they've done.
Even when they do release tes6 I'll probably just keep playing Skyrim. It's Bethesda. I KNOW they're gonna fuck it up somehow. And at this point I trust the modders on Nexus far more than the actual game devs themselves. I mean they can't even rerelease Skyrim without causing problems. Honestly I'm growing to hate Bethesda about as much as I hate EA. They've clearly been piggybacking off of the good will of the fans and getting by on the free labor provided by people who love this universe and it's characters. Like I have more faith in the guys behind Skyblivion than Todd Howard's punk ass
Let's be real; Those properties are now owned by Microsoft, not Bethesda and there is no chance Microsoft will allow those cash cows sit around and collect dust. Honestly; Those IPs are more valuable than BGS at this point.
Thats another thing i hate fortnite for. Its just nothing but constant demand for crossovers. Its one thing for memes or jokes on people saying "i cant believe this character made into Fortnite" like a never ending Smash Ultimate character reveal except its done cheaply done and with little buildup for it, treating the reveals like a bandaid ripped off from the inner thigh.
I'd be willing to forgive them easily but the fact that Bethesda games are just downright beyond broken without question at release is just unforgivable.
games take like 6 years to make now so yeah i bet they havent done shit on ES6 yet. i want shorter games with worse graphics made by people who are paid more to work less and i'm not kidding
People are just assuming starfield is going to be a masterpiece don't seem to remember the poor writing of bethesda and the fallout 76 incident. I don't have much hope for starfield, therefore if it's good I'm going to enjoy it a lot.
why can't bethesda just hire a studio to make new vegas 2 with the creation engine or at the very least remake new vegas with all its cut content restored
Bethesda is a total joke of a studio at this point. When titles like Baldurs gate 3 from small studios in a few years wth is Bethesda doing with their time budget and manpower? How do they even expect to release it when it's going to look a decade outdated on release. And we all know it's engine will be 3 decades old no matter how much 'it just works' swears otherwise.
lol yeah at this point no matter how good te6 most will end up disappointed due to how much time they had to wait that anything less the greatest thing to grace the Earth will be considered terrible
If you have any self respect, you have to add a year after the initial release before touching the game. Having wisdom from the two previous releases of TES, I installed Skyrim at least 7 months after initial launch on 2011.11.11 and because of all the official patches and fan based mods, had a much better experience. I never saw flying mamoths or moonwalking dragons, for example. Don't be a beta-tester... It kills immersion. TBH I have low expectations for TES6. They seem to be unwilling to work on the engine, which is partially what it would take, for them to release something that is not a steaming pile of bugs every time, and not to be 5-10 years behind other studios in terms of animations and mechanics. Despite all the flaws, last time I had spent at least 1500 hours on Skyrim by 2014 and not much since then. The time spent was 50-50 playing and modding. This time I'll probably just wait for a bug-fix release experience via the Wabbajack system, but I still expect to sink a solid 100-200 hours into the game.
You know, I want ESVI to be better than Fallout 76 and if it takes another decade then so be it. That said, damn straight it better include all of Tamriel at that point. I'm not going to be alive for an ESVII!
We shouldn't be so anxious for new Bethesda games, big money does not generate good game, talent and time does, Fallout 76 was fast, how was that game though.
