The only thing I want to know is whether or not Bethesda will ever hire competent writers again. Emil is not a writer. Their Fallout games and Skyrim feel like they're written by middle schoolers. I'm not asking for LOTR, I'm not even asking for Morrowind level writing, I just want a game that doesn't make me cringe while playing like I'm reading a fanfiction of something only Tumblr knows exists.
Can't wait to fly Longswords from Halo and have spartan armor. Honestly this game will be a host to an amazing modding scene. But we won't see the fruits of that until the mid 2020s 😢
I was never really hyped for this game and don't really have time with my job and family right now to play it anyways so I can hold out for a few years until the total overhaul mods come out and create a balanced and refined experience just as they have with Oblivion, Skyrim, and all the Fallout games (including #1 and #2)
SAME. Im gonna be so happy its gonna flop. I dislike fifa and i often compare how skyrim is copying them, but not really. Fifa improves gameplay and updates seasons and characters. Sure the gameplay for the most part stays mainly the same, but thats not really something they can change. .....the skyrim games are literally copy pastes with minimal "improvements" and the same buggs never fixed. Like magic and fighting in general never even receieves updates (which it 100% can and should do) I genuinely think gaming is simply being ruined by braindead tumor laced morons who somehow have 70$ and not only that. They Literally also complain about the state of gaming and barely having money and time to play - yet continue to spend it. But yeah. Boo starfield. It'll probably be nothing but glorified bot fodder in game terms.
@@Lemontarts01hank you. I have a comment from years ago calling exactly this and I can't wait to go back to the people who were saying otherwise and rub it in their faces
@@veryrare432hz I have played some new games, modern engine, looks beautiful, but they are all simple games, some of them barely holding together, Bethesda games are the only ones to reach this level of complexity while having so much modding potential, Fallout New Vegas was good, but it wouldn't be this good without Fallout 3 for it to build on.
I'm interested to see what the game actually turns out to be, but my expectations are low. Bethesda like to make grand claims about things, like the 1000 planets shit. We all know they're just lifting the procedurally generated planet system from No Man's Sky, which isn't all that exciting if you ask me. I'd take a handful of detailed, hand-crafted planets that actually have things for you to do on them than 1000 dice-roll planets that are mostly useless.
This game is either gonna be the next Skyrim or literally unplayable, no in-between. I figure it'll be really broken on launch and people will mock it for some time before forgetting about it. Eventually Todd and Co. will patch it into a genuinely fun game, but at that point everyone is so put-off by a poor start it never ends up gaining the kind of players it would've if it had been working from day 1.
I’m holding off on picking up the game, but I am hoping that there will be a mod that lets me build a Firefly-class by that point. Assuming the devs didn’t include something like it.
Making a new title is way better than clinging onto something that has already ran out of creativity, all these gaming companies ruining IPs and childhood memory, Bethesda did the right thing.
hour 67, i have to find another artifact, this artifact is on planet #4558 and it is being kept by .....Raiders....again. I can't wait to find out what BS start of the universe crap i get when i collect them all. I have a musuem of these usless rock things.
IRL I need upgrades to my computer to play any of this. Morrowind and Oblivion are able to run well with almost-current hardware, but I'm not so sure about how Skyrim might run. Considering the memes of "4 times bigger map" and "16 times the detail", I have more confidence in the slow and steady advance of Tamriel Rebuilt (filling in Morrowind in TES3) and Project Tamriel (Skyrim, with Cyrodiil next) making better progress than Zenimax's puppet.
I swear I'm the only person who's never given two shits about this game. With Bethesda's track record, it's gonna be utter shit but the first year or two, people will praise it to no end until they eventually realize it's not actually that good. If there games weren't easily moddable, no one would even touch their games.
Bethesda knows nobody gives a shit about this. Gameplay trailers so-far are grim to say the least. I hope it'll at least be entertaining for a little while so the wait for TES6 isn't quite so painful.
i want, so badly, to be excited for starfield but i already know that its bathesda and will probably be a buggy mess that never gets fixed and have a lackluster story just deep enough to pad out what you're gonna add with mods. i want more outer worlds but i expect it'll be more like a 3d starbound.
Well it came out and the absolute worst thing happened. It was meh! Not good enough to talk about, and not bad enough to rant. Just a void with some lifeless companions and to make sure you don't see the spackle holding the universe together along with loading screens and ficuses.
1000 planets. Is that like the 7000steps on the way to the greybeards? Becouse wasnt there less then 700, in reality? "It just works" ... But not on ps5, sellouts
Bethesda is so stupid to not realize they could make a new Elder Scrolls game using the same engine as Skyrim and make an entire cargo ship full of money. They could have skipped this new IP entirely and given us 5 or 6 new Elder Scrolls and made more money than this single property will ever make.
Exactly! the ceaseless simping for Skyrim always confused me, game mid as fuck even for how old it is, there’s way better games that don’t get nearly as much love.
