Hi, when I attach a camera as shown the keyboard will only zoom when the zoom buttons are pressed, when the joysticks knob is twisted the display on the keyboard changes to zoom in or zoom out but the camera dosent zoom. Any suggestions? Cheers
I am trying to control a single PTZ camera with this controller. I am currently using RS485, but the motion is very sloppy, the camera won't stop to move after the joystick is release. Any idea of what is going on?
Think you should show the physical connections more. What lost me is you configured the ptz with an ip range 192.168 etc however assuming the PTZ is plugged in to the NVR then it would not have this ip address?
Hi, how could i use a NKB1000 via network to control a specific decoder and associated video wall on the network? all cameras are added by an EVS in this setup and EVS is then linked to DSS making the EVS added camera channels available on the DSS I believe this is called direct storage mode. Anyway don't need DSS access for the question I'm asking I just want to have a remote decoder and a remote keypad in a location were no DSS client PC is located and have the keypad work with the decoder and also able to access the channels added via EVS, Hope this makes sense. My thinking is I need to also add all the cameras to the decoder as devices and then add the NKB or something like this.
The best results are to configure the keyboard to connect directly to your IP cameras. Large networks or large quantities of devices can cause a overun and underun when using telemetry.
If your using the a Dahua analogue recorder the process is the same as NVR. If you use RS485 then you just need to change your zone to RS485 and the IP section will be removed and you need to complete the ID number instead. Our tech team can help if you do this. support.UK@dahuatech.com

Do you have a video showing how to set the presets on the NKB1000. We have 3 X DH-SD8A840WA-HNF PTZ and I am wanting to have approx 5-6 presets for each PTZ for streaming, Thanks in advance.
Great video. I have an NVR5216-16P-I with two PTZ's. --- Questions I have: * There is RS232 communication on this keyboard but does this limit the keyboards functionality? E.g. the keyboard communicating through the NVR rather than direct to the camera. * Pressing a number then 'MULT' brought up the multiscreen of an NVR. Does this work with custom split? Say the split is 5, would key '5' then 'MULT' bring it up?
Hi. The RS232 can be used directly to the camera head bypassing the NVR. This will have no change to functionality. Technically it could be faster since there is no middle man. The MULT will only work with standard multi screen layouts of the NVR or DVR 😀
@@agamkurniawan3117 your model of XVR has an RS232 port. Configure the RS232 port to be 'Net Keyboard' in settings (Menu > Settings > Serial port). On the NKB1000, add a device ID and set it to be Type: DVR or NVR, Link: COM232.
The device does support USB-2-USB for PC however offsite there could be some overrun and underrun. You can put public IP's into the device for a PTZ on the WWW mind :-)
