A lot of people who can afford cars like that probably just have it for some flash. More power to them, but if I could afford something like that, I'd like to drive it. However, there are people who buy guitars to hang on the wall and they don't even know how to play. Just something pretty to look at, I guess. 😂🤷♂️
somehow people think that since its rare its fragile asf, its still a car and that goes for everything, the excuse is usually "i dont want to brake it" as if it wasnt meant to be used
If I had a Koenigsegg, I’d drive the hell out of it, same with any supercar or hypercar, they are meant to be driven, not sit there as a lawn decoration
Your 50% is everyone else's 100% lol 😆 keep up with your skills you'll be there in no time. I've been detailing for 15 years and still never lost love for it
In New York (especially the city) I've heard it's part of the people's tradition or heritage to back up until they actually hit something and feel a little bump when parallel parking. I intent to install a claymore mine of sorts if I ever visit the city.
@@lordofwhip No, he would say it was like that when he got there and the cops would do nothing because they don't care. Unless the owner had it caught on tape the guy would get away with it too.
@@lordofwhip lets be honest here, the dude daily drives a 1 of 40 ferrari, that's worth like 300k, if you can daily drive a ferrari, and a relatively newer one, you can afford not only the maintenance, but also small repair bills. Yeah sure no one wants to pay for something they didn't do, but a couple grand repair bill isn't much to a multi millionaire, potentially billionaire.
I would be interested in comparing maintenance from a daily driven versus one of those garage queens, per mile. Seems that storage creates a lot of seals, hoses, etc. to need replacement at much lower miles.
I'm sure that per mile, it is astonishing how much more affordable driving these cars semi regularly is. Drive your cars, you rich bastards. Even if it's 500 miles a year. They were designed and engineered to be enjoyed. Treating them any differently makes them lesser.
Parking this baby in nyc is gunna triple that maintenance price at least. This dude ain’t curbside parking here I’m sure he pays for protected lots( not all are protected, they can be park at own risk )
The paint is so soft because of the properties of the glue. The glue needs to stick, so it's quite "aggressive", or rather "effective". A skilled detailer spots this, like you did. Always a pleasure seeing you work.
I couldn’t see my cars only being stored somewhere safe... Yes, I love and truly appreciate the fascinating perfection, I’d do everything in my power to protect my much loved cars, but I believe that cars were made to be used and driven. Massive respect to the owner of these cars! Also, absolutely brilliant job as always Larry! 👏🏻🤩👍🏻
Gotta love someone that will daily drive a Ferrari. If you have a sports car or a super car? Enjoy it! Drive it! Take it out and let it enjoy the open road. (Or on a closed track)
To watch someone that is very proficient at their work is truly a pleasure ‼️ Be it a carpenter creating a beautiful piece of furniture, a musician playing a beautiful song, or a professional detailer bringing back to better than new paint on a car. Larry it is truly a pleasure to watch you work. And I appreciate your explanations why you are doing something, it is an added bonus. Thank you 👍✌️☮️
Another tip on cleaning alcantara interiors on 12:05 if you don’t have acces to compressed air, wait for the panel to dry completely the go over it with a medium bristle brush (a toothbrush works perfectly) do it only in one direction at a time and that will lift up the alcantara fibers perfectly.
I'm kind of curious about the "don't remove the wheels" that has come up with a couple different cars now. What is the owner's reasoning behind not removing the wheels (especially in the case of a daily driven car such as this one)?
I wouldn't want anyone to remove/install the wheels on my cars because they never torque them properly and I don't trust ANYONE that works on cars. This is coming from someone that has worked in the car industry for 15+ years. Im sure Larry is perfectly capable of doing so properly, but I really wouldn't want my car disassembled to just be detailed either. Maybe the owner has been the victim of the mechanics that I have also witnessed cars driving out of a shop with loose or missing wheel bolt/lugs and wheels falling off.
Larry, If the badge that has reacted is plastic it can usually have the chrome effect removed with a gel bleach, It will return it back to its original plastic resin and then it can be re-chromed , Coated or painted etc
It makes totally sense using air compressor on alcantara material after cleaning. Never realized that. Thank you for the trick! Gonna try in the next detailing.
Well at least the car is being driven. Paint is either soft and resists chips but is susceptible to washing damage or it's hard, resists washing damage but chips easily. Either way you need ^^^ this guy to make it all better. Great vid.
If it's a matter of holding heat against those clear bras, I wonder how a microwaveable rice pack would work. They get ripping hot after a few minutes in the microwave and hold their heat really well. Maybe you could even have some custom ones made out of microfiber cloth (since it's just a sack of rice).
@@JTMoney333 that's my guess too. 10 to 15k for the detail and traveling cost. It might be worth it to him if he's looking for exposure and more subscribers.
i've been following you for years man, since before you made your product line. i love these videos and you've helped me a lot! i wish i had a detailer locally that was as knowledgeable as you are!
My daughter and I cleaned my wife's Jeep Trail Hawk today. She's 2 and a half so all the rules went out the window. She loved her first car wash tho. Especially wiping the wheel brush all over mamas doors Great Video as always dude.
So I learned to use wool steal when cleaning the windows and windshield. Spray the glass with enough glass cleaner and use the wool steal over the glass, then wipe it off. It takes all the little particles and grim that wouldn’t come off by just spraying and wiping. Give it a try! It works and looks beautiful
Those spots can be salt air (from being parked near the ocean with the windows cracked). or simply finger greese and acids, but most likely salt air. Chromed parts don't react that well to it. Can also be from opening a soda bottle/can and the micro-spray hitting it. Depends on what kind of use it has seen, really. But since you said daily driven it can be whatever at that point
That emblem on the dash, they have a small detailing attachment that connects to a drill and has small attachments. Maybe it could of been compounded to remove the oxidation and restore its shine.
I remember in the previous 458 vid some comments were saying either the owner doesn’t have enough money to drive any other car or the owner is rich enough to daily drive it. I think this video go to show that he indeed does have enough money 😂
Love watching Larry’s work. Makes me want to detail my cars but don’t get it done as fast as him and the wife yells at me for being in the garage all day 🤦♂️. Sure it takes him hrs to detail the car but makes it seem so fast and easy.
Man I’d love to have you detail my 89 Volvo 240 wagon if only I was rich lol your work is amazing and you inspire me more each time when I do small detail jobs
Braahhb-Ham? @5:26 For a guy that really knows his cars and is no stranger to the racetrack, I'm actually a little bit surprised that you aren't more familiar with such an iconic name in Motorsport. Sir Jack Brabham? Ring any bells?
Awesome video Larry. I always enjoy and learn so much from your videos. One request, next time you strip the clear bra, leave the sound on, the oddly satisfying sound of plastic coat being stripped
I liked the note you mentioned about the Obey Glass Cleaner. Can or could the Final Wipe Towels be cut down to a smaller sizes without issue? Considering adding both these to my son and I's stash to be exclusively used on the Instrument Clusters and NAV Screens of our car collection.
