Just a suggestion for something to put in their cage a glider kitchen or dining room theyre really pretty easy to make and I think it makes the cage stay a lot cleaner. if you want to know how to make them look up the video on LIsa Luu's channel. Hope this suggestion is helpful.
Aime Bishop hi Aime, sorry i couldn't reply you on your comment, not sure why. Anyway, regarding why they dont stand still is because its their nature instinct to "get out" when they are trapped.you can see from the video, my glider is trying to get out ffrom my hand haha. you can try to spend more time with them, play with them, talk to them. you can get a big mosquito net tent to bond with them but be careful when they are inside! there are cases where the owner accidentally stepped on their own sugar glider before. hope this helps ^^

Hey everyone! Seeing as there are a lot of sugar glider owners here, I figured I could ask for some help. I've had my standard grey female sugar glider for about six months now. I have a full sized cage, feed her a balanced diet, have a wheel, and regularly trim her nails. My problem is this, she will not bond! I'm afraid that she never will either! She bites on a daily basis, I do everything the books say, she chills out in my shirt throughout the day, pet her while she's sleeping, talk to her. But she won't bond. I'm losing hope, she bites me all the time, and they're hard bites. She'll sometimes hiss, and then bite, but most of the time she'll be asleep, wake up, then turn and just bite my fingers without warning! I can't even let other people touch her while she's in my hands because she'll draw blood. I don't know if I can do this much longer. I hate the idea of getting rid of her just because I can't handle her, because I know she can chill out if I just knew how! But this morning she chewed through her cage cover, and destroyed the cover of one of my books, which I had set on top of the cage to rearrange my bookshelf. I'm desperate and will try anything if it can help me! Thanks.
hmm, because I have a glider that hates scents so much until he will bark and attack aggressively towards me. So my advice is that try to lower down the usage is best to not use at all. Hopes this help :)
I saw that you said you had ONE sugar glider? I'm doing my research right now cuz I really want one and I saw somewhere that if you get just one sugar glider, they will become depressed or something like that so maybe that will help?
I have two sugar glider but they're not really tame. They doesn't stay still on my. Hand. I can't let them come out from the cage they run so fast. Please help me
I know this is REALLY late, but I have a sugar glider of my own and you might not have them by now but for all the viewers my suggestion would be to make sure you COMPLETELY bond with them or it and watch a lot of videos and research to help now when I got my joey he was tamed already so all I had to do is bond but I suggest a bonding pouch during the day when your doing your daily things and just spending as much time possible ☺️

Hi phuong lan trinh! You can mix them in a cage but you have to make sure the food is enough for both of them or else they will fight for it. But please don't breed them if both of your gliders are sibling. Better to neutralize the male in case of "accidents". Hope this help!

+Tiane thee it is really that HARD? I mean, spending time and bonding with them would be effortless in my opinion because I would love to do it, but what else about it makes it hard?
+Lucas Biron beside that you also need to study their diet, have their nails weekly trimmed, clean their cage every 2-5 days. Not everyone can cope with these kind of timetable you see. I'd seen the ones who claimed that they will take good care of them ended up blaming taking care of the gliders are time consuming. So some of them send the gliders away for adoption and some just anyhow put the gliders in a park and "free" them. It's really hard breaking to see this happen but it did. So please think about it before you adopt or get any pets :)
