Thank you so much for making this video. I've watched it twice, and will probably watch it again. Until this fall, I never used a daily list notebook. Now I don't know how I lived without one. You are totally my inspiration on this. I love that I can use up old notebooks this way, but I must admit I have a lovely new one for January 2024. Like you, I am basically a finctional planner,😊 but I do like pretty things. Today I covered two notebboks with floral scrapbooking paper: one for Morning Pages and one for Household notes. I can't wait to begon my year. For my calendar planner, I'm now in my third year in a 7 x 9 Eccolo Horizontal planner. I love the full page for notes that faces each weekly layout. I love all the space to write. Love your channel, Amanda. So helpful in making wise choices that suit our own unique styles. 😊

I have really been enjoying the notebook videos lately, makes me want to go out and buy new notebooks, though I should probably use the ones I have first. I have a daily list book that I use to keep my work tasks separate from my personal planner. Right now I’m just using one of those brown 80 page blank notebooks you can find in bulk on Amazon, but I also have a few prettier notebooks waiting for then this one gets used up this year.
Notebooks are a weakness for me:) Of course I never feel they are wasted because I will use them all up with lists or journaling in my lifetime;) Pretty ones are such a treat to use;) Thanks for watching- I am glad you enjoyed it;)

I feel the same way! I like having different notebooks for different things but small size like you have and they have to be different colors for different subjects.
Thanks for sharing Amanda. I'm currently using a B6 365 Stalogy as my daily list/book of days and I'm so happy with it. I wished it had a monthly calendar so I printed a 2022 year at a glance calendar and pasted it in. I love it so much that I'm now considering buying different sizes to use for so many other things. I also add thin washi on the pages with info that I want to refer to. 😀
I’m totally a notebook lover too. I’ve tried bullet journaling lots of times and I definitely need a place for daily lists. I’m using the a5 Ec daily duo cause I had it and of course I love the paper.

I'm currently using Ashley Shelly's new daily planner and I also use JM planning essentials daily planners :) I totally agree, you just can't go wrong with a EC notebook and now they have an A5 size!! Yay!! I think of Pierce every time the EC coil is discussed in one of your videos because Pierce said " why would you pay extra for a different color coil when the silver one is free" LOL!! He's so smart and logical. You did such a great job raising him XO.

I'm so glad you said that about using notebooks. I went from working in the university world where I had meetings and appointments all the time now to teaching with no meetings, just the same routine days everyday. I also use notebooks to do a lot of my planning, while I use my planners for monthly and more to journal my activities and keep track of things. Thank you for this video.
I have several Becky Higgins notebooks and have given them as gifts. Love the limited run and the beautiful photography. I use different ones based on which topic I’m taking notes on (e.g., side hustle, sermon notes, etc.).

I use a daily list in combo with my yearly planner. It's so much easier to carry with me. Right now I'm in an off brand Target NOTES book, spiral, with colored pages and lightly lines which I customize for a 2 page day. Task and routine one side, life notes/record in the other and it's working well. BUT been wanting an Erin Condran, so will probably pick one up through your link. Thank you for your videos. I use PP daily thanks to you . I did the sub box for awhile but now using a journal as one page per day for my daily list. Use Passionate Penny Pincher for weekly planning which stays open on my desk . My daily book comes to bed with me so I have it when I wake up.
Just wanted to share....I've been in a Plum Paper Daily for 2 years, however, for this year...I switched to a Plum Paper Weekly Overview. I love it, however, I found myself needing more space on some days. So I use a mini notebook as a daily notebook and only use it when I feel like I need a running to-do list. I learned that from watching your videos so thank you so much for that tip! It's been working and I feel like I don't need to purchase a daily planner which is awesome because having more than one planner is overwhelming to me.
Oh, good:) Yes! If you like thicker paper try the new 120gsm:) Although oddly enough I think I still prefer their old paper for journaling. I don't love super thick paper in my journals.
I was an avid EC Weekly Planner for a long time.. but then last year, some things happened where I just couldn't keep up with an actual planner and it became more of a chore that I didn't want to make time for. That kind of planning used to be so fun for me, but some things in my life changed and it wasn't fun anymore. So, decided to switch it up and change things, tried a few different options but then settled on basically what you do. lol.. I don't quite do daily lists, It's more like a couple of days at a time lists. Since I work 4-10's, I found it hard to really plan or worry about planning anything on those days because working 10 hours, you really don't want to do anything else. So, I do the planning for the 3 days I'm off. It's been working well, easy. I like that if I feel like decorating or structuring I can, but mostly it's just lists. In the process of this though, I have become a Notebook hoarder. 🤣 I just love buying Notebooks! All kinds! Just like you, I don't mind ghosting and I love the freedom to switch to a different Notebook one week to the next, if I feel like it. Nothing ever gets wasted because I can always just go back to one that still has empty pages. This was a great video and showed me a few Notebooks I hadn't heard about before, but have already promptly ordered. As always, thanks for your content! Oh, that's awesome how well a notebook has been working for you too! I agree--if I worked 10 hour shifts I wouldn't have any other To Dos on my list for that day! Currently I use a Simplified Daily Planner. Some days I rewrite my to do's on a piece of paper if I feel like my planner is too messy. On days I do that though it frustrates me that I can't just use my planner. I use a plain notebook from the grocery store to keep my overall running to do list. Next year I may switch to a daily list in possibly an Erin Condren notebook. I definitely like the notebooks with a coil. Don't like the bound ones. Enjoyed your video.
Plum Paper has a great coil-bound A5 notebook that is compact and has a lot of page types. I do add ten pages to fill out the coil. Thanks for all these options!
You are right! Plum paper has wonderful notebooks too, and I have used them in the past. I do prefer EC paper now...but a great option for those that prefer the Plum Paper or their options. Thanks for reminding me! Although I have never used a Plum one for my daily list;)
I am so tempted to just get a 7x9 or A5 notebook to keep track of all my EC pens. So I can keep list of the colors, names and swatches of them in one spot. And can get a cover it to change when I get a new cover for it. The 7x9 might be too big for it. And have to decide what cover to get. Might get a plain one to start. And when the covers are on sale, get a cover that I like to change it with.
@@AmandasFavorites - Since I keep getting pens/markers. Debating between using an A5 or a 7x9 notebook to keep track. I might have to use the 7x9 to be "safe". 😎 And now have to wait for a cover sale to get more. Hope that they have a BOGO free sale again. That could be a cheap way to get some metalic covers. And some personalized ones.

I was really glad you reviewed the Leuchtturm thicker paper journal. I bought one a few weeks ago and was saving it until I finished with my old notebook. I was so disappointed when I realized the paper was slick. That’s a deal breaker for me.
I’m looking for a daily list notebook for weekends only. My work planner takes care of the weekdays but I’m looking for more structure for my weekends. After your video I’m also leaning Stalogy, I like the compactness and lightness of their book and maybe the B6 since it’s smaller and only for weekends. I was surprised Golden Coil didn’t make the list.
Thanks for sharing what you need your list notebook for and what you are thinking of using;) I have yet to make a Golden Coil Notebook! I do think all the options to customize a notebook are amazing, and maybe I will try to do that for this next year. But I also think most people don't want to pay that price for a notebook, but they will pay it for a planner;) Thanks for watching and chiming in!
I have a Stalogy B5 that I got in hopes that I would start some type of Bujo. Only wrote in it once, using Pilot G2 07. No bleed through, does not show on the other side of the page. My hand is a little heavy, I can barely feel indentions. I've looked at all sorts of format ideas. When I transition from my HP vertical, I'm expecting the Stalogy to be totally freeform perhaps with tip ins if I need them. A blank page is the opposite end of the spectrum from a monthly and vertical weekly. Will have to get used to it.
Actually, you can only get the Productivity and lined A5 notebooks - I specifically requested the page from customer support so I could order the dot grid or graph paper A5 and they don't have those available yet...this was about a week ago - maybe they came out since? I'd LOVE to hear you say yes!😃

Love the video. How do you keep track of which daily notebook you use(d)? It sounds reinvigorating to switch in and out based on your need/mood. But I think I would forget where I wrote something that I needed/remember. How do you do it?
That can be an issue. But I generally just keep a pile of the ones I am using in one year and it hasn't been a huge problem:) But if someone really wants all the information in one book then I wouldn't switch around;) But I love to switch too much right now...we shall see what the future holds! I have filled up 2 Becky Higgins in the past year- so I have stayed in those the most;) But that is a very good point!

Only Erin Condren, Planner Perfect, and Golden Coil does too and they have notebooks- and I love their planners. But I didn't have a Golden Coil notebook to include in this video.
Maybe you can help me out. I am trying to find a good scripture journal. One that doesn't tell you the prayer to say. Doesn't necessarily have a scripture in it. But has different aareas and shape spots to write things in if that as well. I do inklings and have general conference stickers. So want something that I can put those in. And come follow me studying. I want something that has lines as well. With thick, no bleed, or show through. Jm's is pretty close. But doesn't have decorative shapes to write in . I also don't want a to do list or things like a daily or budgeting stuff. No bullets, dotting, or grids. I have seizures. So that annoys my head. I know this is probably a lot. Is very hard to find a lined one, with spaces, and not a bunch of other stuff on the page. But I'm hoping you can help recommend a good notebook for scripture study and journaling. Thanks for any help you can give me. God bless.
This has me stumped...I am not in my office to look through shelves right now for ideas. Let me get back to you;) The first one I thought of was the write the word journal from cultivate what matters...the blank one that leaves the scripture per day open for you to fill in. But it doesn't have lines.
Will look into where you suggested. One more question. I have journal that I found from way back that was a gift from someone a long time ago. Who has since moved. Googling got me no results. Maybe you might know. The journal has white and black lined paper and blackout pages. All in one journal. Any ideas where something like that can be found. Would have to be just all in one. I can't afford to spend on add in pages. Thank you for all your help.
@@butterflies015did you ever find one? I wonder if any of the workbooks from Bible study RU-vidrs would work for you. I think the James Method sells one that is meant for verse mapping (I know it has shapes; not sure about lines). I think Crazy Truth Ministries sells one focused on chapter mapping; even though it isn’t designed as a daily, it may still work for you, especially if you add tip-ins.
