DAILY RUNNERS DIET (What an elite athlete eats in a day)
Chicken and chips recipe: Ingredients for 2
Takes 40 minutes
2 chicken breasts
140g red cabbage (we didn’t have)
3 white potatoes (what’s a white potato?)
1 Egg
35g grated Italian hard cheese
30g panko bread crumbs
1 Mayonnaise sachet (30ml)
2 truffle flavoured extra virgin olive oil (16 ml)
2 garlic cloves
5g parsley
I don’t have the instructions. So good luck 😉
Excuse the title, I had to use "what an elite athlete eats in a day" because it sounds good. I'm not that vain.
This is pretty much my standard diet. I usually eat more vegetables.

Hey guys! I’m marathon training atm but to be honest, I’m recovering from an eating disorder and definitely under eat for the mileage and efforts I’m putting in. This is really the amount of calories and the kinda food you eat? I say this because I’m a fussy eater but love beans on toast lol. I’ve noticed over Christmas when I’ve allowed myself to eat a lot more that my energy levels went strait up, I ran my fastest 10k in an interval session and done a 17 mile run 2 days later and was ready to go again on the Monday so this has been awesome seeing this and getting the confidence that more food won’t just make fat

I heard you say iron pills and vit D, what supplements you take these days? I found this channel a few days ago, love the track sessions, do you have anything for beginner runners on track sessions? goal is HM/Marathon.

I take iron and vit D and fish oil and vitamin C and beta alanine In terms of Hm and Marathon I really like float sessions. So 1k at 5% faster than HM pace and then 1k 20-30 seconds slower than that. I do it for 20k

@@Trackstaa_ btw when it comes to keeping pace, you look at your watch or it's just by feel? for me 20-30sec faster or slower depends on how I'm feeling that day and what shoes I wear, don't really know the pace from feel alone.

@@OZSA87 erm I normally know the pace. And then if I’m feeling rough it’s usually 5 second differential. But I always check my watch on workouts

@@OZSA87 no recovery. The float 1k is partial recovery and you need to focus on relaxing whilst still at a good pace. Iron tablets I take because most runners need more iron

Elite? Come on now. Are you even in the top 200 of UK amateurs? You are a fine middling runner: overstating your talent like this sadly makes you only sound even more like a NED.

I’d definitely say a low 8 3k and low 14 5k is elite

@@adam_fogg Weird... I'd definitely say they are decent amateur times that would not get you an invite to an elite start anywhere out of Sheffield. I don't think these are even in the top 500 times of world under 18.

@@TheOnlyAsAnd the definition of ‘elite’ obviously differs, but either way, he’s still running very fast and will run quicker. I wasn’t gonna bother, but I actually looked it up on Power of 10 and Alfie ranked 58th for the 3k in the entire UK in 2020 - pretty elite. Regardless, it probably made you click on the video!

@@TheOnlyAsAnd I don’t know what a NED is but thank you. If you check the description I spoke on the elite part. Besides that, regardless of the times that I have run. Both times since lockdown ended, I have won my races and especially in the 3k it was easy. But other than that. At the minute, or even especially going into this season. I’m looking to run sub 29 and 64 for the half marathon. The later is one which I could possibly run now. Which would’ve ranked me 100% in the top 20 in the UK. For a distance I haven’t trained for.
