I like the old Rose and I liked the new Rose. Old Rose was more refined and more down to earth. Second one was more like Blanche Deveroe from the Golden Girls, which I liked as well.
That boy was indeed fit AF 🥰 One of the main actors in Trainspotting..... ex of angelina jolie 🤣🤣🤣 He is a tv series actor now., mostly in usa.. is now mature but still attractive 👍🏻
Now, I would love to see the clip where Onslow takes Richard to the pub, leaving Hyacinth driverless. When she looks for him under the car, she pulls up her skirt and looks between her legs. That scene always got me laughing so hard that it got my stomach and cheeks hurting.
@@GhostPirate6 Yeah the episode is called "How to go on holiday without really trying." It also has one of my favourite sketches where Hyacinth tries in vain to get Elizabeth to notice her expensive holiday brochures :)))
@@SummerBayJournal Thanks! I was looking for just the clip but I'll take the full episode! Edit to add: Do you remember the name of the episode where Richard was describing how his enthusiam(or whatever it was) and that it was going up from his leg and into his groin?
@@sandrajovic9304 he means Onslow aka Geoffrey Hughes! He's acting credits are Eddie Yates coronation street! Onslow keeping up appearances and Vernon Scripps heartbeat set in the 1960s!💖!
@@sandrajovic9304 well, it does say Onslow, the only male person named in the title of the video. I bet Christmas is fun at your house! *Not very much*
Chad Quick...how about the scene in which he watches the financial reportnd he answers Rose: "I'd like to know how much longer the govt can afford to support me (he was on welfare- surprise!)".
I love both Roses, too. They do give different vibes though. The first Rose is more confident. The second Rose has less a commanding presence and is very similar to blanch. Both did a good job.
In the US, we don't get to see many productions with any of these excellent actors. I have "Emma" from 2008 with Mr. Knightley played by Johnny Lee Miller which he plays beautifully - excellent acting must be in the British DNA...not all are good actors, but most don't get the opportunity to play a variety of roles!
When I was a little kid Daisy was always my favourite character because Judy Cornwell who played her also played Santa's wife Mrs Claus in my favourite Christmas film Santa Claus The Movie (the one with Dudley Moore and John Lithgow). Even now if someone mentions 'Mrs Claus' in relation to Santa a picture of Judy Cornwell pops into my head.
Aaaah I forgot about the dog. I remember when Hyacinth was walking down the sidewalk and the dog wasn’t there and she gives this smug look to only have the dog bark at her form an upstairs window causing her to do her famous fall into the bushes.
We have a few roads like this area near where I live, and you find trolleys from the supermarket in peoples gardens and people wearing odd clothing, or lack of..
Hard to believe, but one of Judy Cornwall's earliest movie roles was as the girl friend of....FABIAN. I forget the name of the movie at the moment, but imagine my surprise one saturday afternoon while watching a movie about an ambitious, up and coming American race car drive and I hear a vaguely familiar voice and see it coming from a very youngish girl. BTW, Patricia Routledge had a sizeable role, about the same time frame, in the movie To Sir, With Love. The future Mrs Bucket played a teacher. And yeah, it wasn't until one night when I saw Keeping and then that Sherlock Holmes series, that this was a very young Johnny Lee Miller.
bujeah14 l nope we never get to meet or see him but I used to think he was some sickly Weasley boy but that can’t be the case. I say he was a hip gay fellow who traveled the world . Just by the conversations with his mommy! Lol
Sheridan is never seen or heard - only spoken of by his mummy. That way, they can get more laughs out of Hyacinth's exaggerated bragging, and the fact that she's the only one who doesn't get it that he's gay.
Funny. At least in Germany you can still drink with 16 or even younger with your family's approval, but smoking age is 18. And yes, a quite good change :)
They don't make sitcoms like this in America. Not since All In The Family and the Jeffersons went off the air. It's been mediocrity at best ever since. The BBC will always be the best for television anywhere in the world.
I am in in America. I saw a television program on TV today. There was a 61 year old polygamous pastor on the stage. He was married to a 16 year old girl as well as women of different ages. These people are simply acting. The guests are that show were not. That is much worse.
