I can tell Dale likes hearing these stories, but in a way I'm sure it hurts. He never knew his dad like these other men did. He was just learning about this side of his dad when he passed away.
@Saul Rojas I miss these two on the racetrack because the Nascar then is the cleaner rivalry compared to now. Those guys then had a better head then the drivers now cause the new kids now are slightly selfish depending on who there racing for
@@DixytheGoat9 exactly Dale Jr is Hearing stories Of his Father From other View points AWESOME. Sure Do miss You BOTH EARNHARDT'S R.I.P. DALE SR. & MR. RALPH EARNHARDT.
Rusty didn't hold anything back. He told it like it was back in the day. A great interview. I Love this show that Dale Jr has going on. Can't wait till his next show. God Bless.
I found out about this channel from the joe Rogan experience podcast. Don’t know much about NASCAR but listening to the stories, I have searched races. I have been learning sooo much about the skill/technique/style of driving that goes into the sport. I never knew how much went into this sport. The “Poor and Stupid” episode of South Park shows how stupid a normal humans can be looking at this sport. Not only is science going in, but bravery. I’ve came to see NASCAR is awesome! I remember seeing the wreck of Earnhardt, but listening to these podcasts makes me wonder and appreciate the sport and also appreciate the drivers. These kids today have it so good.
Rusty talked about the snowball derby in Pensacola. I was on a fishing charter in Pensacola in the early 90's and the captain of our boat was the former owner of the race track that the snowball derby was held. He told us a bunch of cool stories. Cool hearing stories from Rusty. I miss the days when they were running in NASCAR.
This really makes me miss NASCAR. I love Dale Earnhardt and Rusty Wallace. I wish I could get in to today's NASCAR but I can't. Guess I'm too old. Thanks for making these podcasts Dale Jr. They are really good.
Since 1988 I’ve always been a Dale Earnhardt fan. It’s nice hearing the stories from owner, drivers , and pit crew guys. It’s a different side of races that we would never see so thank you so much.
Things that Nascar's past cant reproduce genuine racers. New school drivers are all polished and "refined" guys like Rusty and Dale Sr were REAL racers. Love to sit have a beer and hear stories like these for hours. Great podcasts JR. Watch all of em. Keep the Dirty Mo train truckin I'll always be along for the ride
@@danhendrickson9572 you said it Dan. Just something...made them heros in my eyes compared to "most of todays drivers" granted theres alot of talent today...but missing the grit of the old school
I think it is the "old school, every man" feel. Those guys could be my dad or grandfather. For all of his achievements Jimmy Johnson doesn't have the same appeal for me as the Dales, Rusty or even Jeff Gordon; and I don't mean that as an insult! Like old people in a small town, they were characters.
These insights are excellent. I know my face glows like Jr.’s hearing stories about my father from friends he ran with. Thank you for the Show Dirty-Mo’!
These are great the intent of Jr. listening and Rusty telling these stories these old racers that came up through the 90' and 2000's have great stories just so different racing back then this podcast is great
This was so awesome. I would bet everything that they hated each other when they ran. To find out they were good friends. You can really tell the admiration these guys have for Dale. He was just a good'ole boy.
That's great to here rusty an dal where good friends I miss the old days we went to riverside when you came out west an Bristol an north wilkesboro back in the day
I have recently stumbled upon these vids during my Chinese flu holiday. I love these interviews and backstories but what i love most is watching a son listen with every fiber about his father and eating it all up. Thats the best part. A father leaves a lifelong impression on his son, whatever shape that takes. 👍🏻🇺🇸
I love this for the Earnhardt fans and I love this for junior. I think it's kind of therapeutic for him he's looking good these days. Keep on keepin on, like your daddy said don't lift.
I sure do miss your dad bro... i know you do too. Hey did you ever do a pod cast about this? 'What would racing be like if Dale was still around'? Great cast. So glad i found this channel
JR was very smart to get out of the car- when you take a step back and look at this analytically It just makes sense-he has nothing to prove to anyone and his talents extend far beyond the cockpit- like anyone who watches these i am facinated by the anecdotes and always laugh about something- Both JR and Mike ask good questions and they let the guests tell their story nuff said
My memory of Dale and Rusty is when Rusty barrel rolled at Talladega I believe it was and Dale come around next lap wide open through the grass over to check on Rusty. That’s how close they were. Don’t know that you’d see that nowadays.
I was at that Richmond race as a kid. Biggest Gordon fan and my grandmother was a Rusty fan. Rusty punted him right in front of our seats. I was so upset and was in tears. Grandma didn’t say a word the rest of the race. Rusty made her grandson cry and she didn’t like Rusty much more after that. I still can’t stand Rusty.
It was Winston 500 when Wallace got turned by Earnhardt and ended up pinned wheeled over and over. Press came to Dale and asked what his take on it was, Holding Rustys Glove up saying "I have his gloves" He was nervous that he F**ked Rusty up bad but he was alright. Never forget that, you knew they were close by his candor after that wreck. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qox9CPMczRw.html @7:05
i love Rusty man i got all his stuff cars cards everything i’d do anything for his autograph man ... My fondest memories are with my dad cheering Rusty on and jerring Earnhardt.. No offense Dale Jr... You are who i pulled for after Rusty retired
While y'all talking about senior and the ole days, there s a picture of a car spinning violently at Daytona and it looks like the wrangler car,but as it slows down spinning it my be the 2 car,it was yellow and blue, did senior ever have that wreck or do u know who car it was it was the intro to wide world of sports or ESPN can't remember,it may have been blue n yellow mercury cougar XR 7????YOU know the car I always it was dales but could not tell....
Rusty is the man. That dude could race. He was consistently good from the day he started to the day he retired. Yeah, he went a while without winning races, but he was finishing top 10 damn near every race. Plus he drove the Miller Light car, and Budweiser sucks sorry Dale
All the good one’s are gone or retired! A lot of people probably laugh at me with my sad comments but it is what it is ! I don’t watch racing anymore! It hurts because the old NASCAR is gone ! Those of us that don’t have any friends or much of a social life, These people and the sport are like family members but now it’s not the same and it feels pretty lonely out here and it’s not a good feeling. Guess my opinion is pretty trivial considering the current climate in the world! Guess my point is that not everyone is the same and people deal with things in different ways, Be respectful of people , There lives and what they believe in is important too! Thanks Dale Jr for preserving those stories and great memories of the past ! Everyone out there take care!
Dale and Rusty were like brothers. Go and look at the intro before the 1995 Southern 500 (the week after the Bristol water bottle incident). Rusty says, "You all probably think I'm crazy, but I love that man like a brother." That's what it was like. Sibling rivalry, but all love in the end. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cSaxhm-XnNw.html
Rusty has to realize there were Rivalries between Fans, it really doesn't have anything to do with him personally. We had some very heavy Rivalries between Gordon & Rusty. Most everyone like him as an all around nice guy, well maybe with just a little Silver Spoon in him.
