Hello!
This is the fourth video in my series exploring the Cosmere, its magic systems, and its inhabitants.
This has been designed for the more experienced cosmerenauts, so come back after reading some if you have not yet been introduced to the cosmere.
What is the cosmere, you ask? the Cosmere is a collection of Brandon Sanderson novels, series, and short stories that make up one gigantic shared universe. Its pretty freakin' cool.

This makes sense, most of Sanderson's books end with one or more of his main characters becoming a God.

I like this video but you left out one key point.... Dalinar isn't the only one who has heard "unite them" king T and King G have also heard it if I'm not mistaken.

while I think this idea is Cool I dont see how you could combine Honour and Odium into Unity. Sazed merging Preservation and Ruin into Harmony (Or Discord) makes sense because Preservation values creating things and Ruin values destroying them and the universe really needs the ability to do both. But Honour is about Honour and Odium is Divine Hatred made manifest. One of the reasons why Odium is the way he is I think is because he has all this hatred for everything with no other traits to match it. Beyond that based on what his actions have been it seems that Odium wants to destroy anyone with the capacity to actually challenge him (which is why he traveled the cosmere shattering shards...... until he got trapped on roshar).

I think that wanting to hate, but containing it is maturity, and obeying honor. This reminds me of Jordan Peterson's ideal of embracing the inner monster and then taming it to become an effective purposeful good person.

I believe Dalinar will become the new shard "Unity" after her picks up Honor AND Cultivation

Why no Honor, Cultivation and Odium. He's had connection to all 3?

@@bpj exactly! I think he'll pick up all 3 shards and become Unity. I think Cultivation is ready to retire and is grooming Dalinar to replace them all. I think she's slowly bringing T'Odium and Dalinar to a stronger Connection for this purpose.

Kelsier became a villain in the Stormlight Archive, maybe Dalinar becomes Odium's champion and we see him as the enemy in future other-planet books.

It seems as if he's looking to exploit Roshar's magic, but I'm not certain just how much of an enemy he is. I cant wait to see what happens when kelsier's finally able to roam around the cosmere!

Knowing what we do from RoW, this doesn't hold up anymore. Honor is dead. Like completely. I don't think anyone, even a bondsmith as powerful as Dalinar could become Honor. And i really don't think Odium would change hosts twice in two books. Like you said, Brando doesn't do the same thing twice. Odium will stay with it's new host and honor will stay dead. I really like this idea because it gives new context *again* to "unite them". At first it was about the Alethi warcamps then it was about all Rosharans and then to have it become about the shards themselves? That would be amazing. I just don't see it happening unfortunately

Agreed, this doesn't hold up as well after ROW. With some tweaking though, my second dalinar makes a lot more sense. I definitely don't see him picking up odium at this point, but being influenced by him in some big way seems pretty likely

Definitely a valid point. What do you think of dalinar and Odium possibly working together if Honors champion loses?

a bit late, but I think he'll ascend to a shard called unity. Like saved is harmony, maybe a mis of honer and odium?

The shard was splintered by Odium which means no one can take up the shard of Honor.

Honestly, I kind of agree with you. Some of the older episodes are pretty rough in this regard on another watch. I get much better with this in later episodes
