Jared Leto is so humble and so nice, he has such kind eyes and such a beautiful face, but the crazy thing is I HAVE wacthed Requiam For A Dream and even though I haven't finished watching it yet I was very impresed with Jared's acting and thought he was stunning but until the other guy mentioned the movie I didn't recognize him at all! I guess that means he's done a really good job changing (and that I need to start wearing my eye glasses when I'm on the computer as well... /: )
This is for sure one of the year's best movies! I've seen many films/performances that are nominated for Oscars and I must say I'm totally rooting for Matthew McConaughey for Best Actor and Jared Leto for Best Support Actor. Physical transformation is one thing but their ability to portray the characters is mind blowing. They literally "live" the characters it knocks me off my feet. Definitely a must-see!
I just saw the movie in the cinema today. I was blown of my feet by how good Matthew McConaughhey and Jared Leto played the roles. And by the movie's story. It was an amazing movie. I really loved it!
Jared Leto is like that method actor who never got highly regarded. People treat him like a cult actor rather than a great actor, but he always transforms himself in every role, physically and mentally.
Dallas Buyer's Club=The Best Movie of 2013 along with the best performances of the year by Matthew and Leto......along with Garner. Haven't seen Wolf on Wall Street(I'm sure Leo did a great job)but as far as I'm concerned,Matthew deserves the Oscar for best Actor and Leto deserves it for best Supporting Actor.Although Cooper did a good performance in American Hustle.
Shane Kirby Yeah I wrote this back in January before I had seen WOWS and agree.Wolf was a far better movie than Dallas Buyers Club but I still think Dallas was a far more important movie and I think Leo was great but Matthew's performance edged Leo and Edjifor out.
Jake, you've asked the best questions out of all the interviews I've seen so far. I know they have to get tired of the same old questions from people but you asked some great thought provoking questions and both Jared and Matt seemed to be enjoying themselves. Love your enthusiasm.
Such a great interview! I was impressed what a sweet and nice guy Jared is. Also Matthew such a gentelman, he born to be an actor. Oh, I can't forget mention the interviewer too, he is one of the best person in this job. Keep going;)
i bet every single time jake asks a good question to actors they gain more respect for him and hence why they are more comfortable to share their true thoughts to him. good job Jake
You're taking it too literally, dude. Keep in mind, I'm one reporter in a long line of reporters they see throughout the day -- if I can say something that makes them smile and laugh and, for a moment, stand out amongst a cattle call of other reporters, then I'll do it -- and I've found the couch line works. Matthew and Jared both gave outstanding performances, I also enjoyed the watching Jareds role because of the diversity it came with. He not only had to lose the weight but had to play a very complex character.
I just have to say again, Matt you were great in this. The part in the supermarket was unexpected, I liked how you didn't give a fuck what your old friends thought.
personally, i loved the interviews..and Jared is a wonderful man..and so gracious..and you can count on those tickets to the Mars concert..he means what he says and says what he means
Haha you're totally fangirling about going to a show of 30 Seconds to Mars . Loved it :) Can't wait to watch this film btw. Seing Jared as Rayon. Its a amazing story about a very dark time etc.
I had the opportunity to meet Jared in person, and he's an amazing man. Very enthusiastic, friendly and loving but also very serious and focused on his work. Not a dickhead AT ALL, I hear so many incredible stories that he had with his fans and It's when you realize it's a wonderful person. :D trust me ;)
All you Leto fans should give a watch to a movie he was in called Chapter 27 (2007).He portrayed Mark David Chapman who is the man that killed John Lennon.He put himself thru one helluva physical transformation you wouldn't believe.The movie itself is somewhat slow in places but Leto gave a critically acclaimed performance.
Wow, Jared Leto is awesome he didnt even think twice about the interviewers sorta awkward questions and then still gave him tickets to a show. WAY COOL!!
I think every interview I have ever seen Jake do someone always says "Great question" or something along those lines. He is obviously doing something right!
One of the only actors I can say deserves what he gets and can actual be confident in every role because he dies pull the what the viewer does want to digest, thank Matt you can be more arrogant if you'd like.
Jared Leto is a brilliant actor. He appears simultaneously a great guy and twisted. He's a Rubik's Cube of faces. He gets mixed up; his facets become confused and entangled. People can't figure him out and only those with the algorithm can. What is at his core is a rightfully so kept secret. In any case, this is the concoction of fine art.
I don't listen to mainstream & neither do the people I associate with so I had never heard the term "turnt".(According to The Urban Dictionary) "Turnt" - (verb) 1) A state of altered consciousness induced by alcohol or narcotics.2) Being happy & excited & energetic &/or having fun.
:)) I don`t know the main meaning of this word, I just use it for different situations, in this one meaning that he`s been doing good stuff, one good movie after another. I think I`ve heard the word from some twitch stream.
I completly changed my mind about Jared Leto. Ive just seen some interviews where he just doesnt take the Qs seriously. Look how amazing and genuine he is.
Ok, when they put a trailer on we try to watch it an all we get is sound an a blank screen makes me mad that's how i see if i want to rent or buy this movie.
you're a good interviewer but please stop showing clips from the trailer every other minute.. people interested in the movie have already seen it, if they haven't, it's so nothing is spoiled for them at the theater.
I've heard both but more good stories than bad. I think it's a matter of sometimes people catch him in a bad mood. Or when someone is being rude to him.
That guy just doesn't get it. I love your style, Jake. Did you get tickets??? Jared seem like such a cool guy! I just watched Requiem for a movie club and that movie blows me away every time. Keep up the good work!
hehe, how would you finish an interview? I think that all Jake does is being friendly and polite. That phrase is like a bonding thing between them. I like it, and i say Jake don't stop with it.
I agree. They do need that because I'm sure they get tired of the same questions. I've seen a ton of interviews and i know they, especially Jared, have got to be tired of the weight loss questions. I know Jared is probably tired of the drag questions. So yeah any little thing to make it different in some way and make them enjoy it is good.
