Good one Gary. You gave your share of Ewing Oil to your daughter Lucy. You know Gary how much Lucy loves her daddy and adores you Gary and she is your little girl and your only child who means the world to you and who you would do everything in the world for. Parenthood is for life Gary. I love being Robert and Sarah's mama Gary and I don't regret having them one bit.
Barbara Bel Geddes always played Miss Ellie differently whenever Gary appeared on the scene as opposed to JR and Bobby. Her face glows with joy, her smile is bigger, her spirit is happy and her protective nature was always in evidence. Not so much with the other Ewing brothers. Daddy was a bigger influence on them. The writers created an entirely different brand of Ewing when they wrote Gary into the show and soon thereafter on KL. What a pleasure to see "Mama" smile and relax for a while...even if only for a few short visits. Btw these downloads @DALLAS70 are of outstanding quality and greatly appreciated.
The Ted Shackleford version of Gary always seemed to me like he was more than capable of handling JR. The original one...not so much. And Lucy definitely wasn't scared of him. It's too bad they didn't explore more possibilities of Lucy having those voting shares and giving JR hell - LOL!
I always thought that Ted Shackelford could pass for Barbara Bel Geddes’s son in real life, except Barbara never had any sons in real life, just 2 daughters.
I love that Amazon Video has Dallas, Dynasty, and Falcon Crest. All that’s missing is Knots Landing. TV hasn’t been the same since these shows left. I tried to get into the Dynasty remake, but it was just awful.
They should create a TV station that runs ONLY Dallas episodes constantly from 6am to 12 midnight, so we can still sleep a few hours and miss no shows. I strongly believe in this idea. I miss the fun of watching Dallas so much. During the 3 year Covid crap this would have been great.
I was 16 years old in 1982 and this was my favorite show back then and the only show I really cared about. Dallas was at it's best from about 1980 t0 1982. For me looking back it started to decline when Pam and Bobby broke up and the stretched that whole saga out for so many years. The saddest moment on the show was when Pamela's mother Rebecca Wentworth died.
"Dallas" "Falcon Crest" "Dynasty" & "Knots Landing" were the sh!+. I am (48) years old & remember these shows like it was yesterday. As a little girl I always thought Linda Gray (Sue Ellen) was so beautiful. She was my favorite character, other than J.R.
I have a problem with Gary and Lucy's interior decorating. That cold white phone does not match the warm decor of their kitchen/dining room. She needs a nice Harvest Gold color phone. That white clashes with the rest of that room.
Best scene when J.R. couldn't have his way in getting Gary's shares of Ewing Oil from him. J.R. has met his match against Lucy. Love to see the steam come out of J.R. face. He is quite mad. Go Lucy!!
Honey we went back for Lucy's Wedding and everything was fine. Gary you don't know the half of it. Ray officially being acknowledged as Jock's Son, Bobby telling Jock & JR about him doing damage control with The Cartel, Miss Ellie being furious that Gary wasn't coming back, and Sue Ellen finding out that he slept with Afton Cooper, Mitch's Sister who would give birth to Pam who would marry John Ross, then Bobby & Pam having problems in their marriage.
I never understood why the show didn't make Lucy a valued nemesis to JR... Her character always seemed drawn to the background with not much range... 🧐
Bobby/Patrick always made me bite my lip, however, Ted/Gary in this clip made me nervous & think bad things. Hahaha 😅 as if Ted’s clothing could not get any tighter. My goodness

David Ackroyd Too bad JR Never meet Jill Bennett !! 😂😂 This must have been just right after JR was shot !! ?? A bunch of Cow Dong Just flew in JR's face !! 😂😂
The seasons of dallas got worse and worse after the first five seasons. The scripts got continuously bad As the seasons went on. Nothing got as worse however is when they had Bobby return after Pam dreamed the whole season! The show lost a quarter of its viewers. It is shocking that Larry hagman let it get so bad.
