This is another example of Pam disappearing in bandages story that made no sense. Dallas might have needed the resurrection injection of Bobby returning after the dream but after Pam's car explosion exit, Dallas was a finished.
The show was very much over after the season closing 1985 when Bobby was hit by the car and died. The Dream Season was a bore and while his resurrection brought interest (end of 86") the show wasn't any good any longer. That season when Patrick Duffy came back (was Victoria's last) was the pitts, sorry to say.
@@robertscott8344 @robertscott8344 That was played out off screen so the viewers did not see Pam dissappear to understand why she did this. They did not see Pam again until the following season when another actress briefly played Pam in one scene telling Cliff she has cut all ties with her family. Completely untrue to the character.
Here's a fun fact. Before Dallas, Margaret Michaels guest starred on Dallas' rival show, Dynasty. She played a student of tennis instructor Mark Jennings at La Mirage
I think that was very wise of Bobby nobody wants to chase a woman or a man. If you get together it is got to be love so that nobody is taking advantage of. A brother is different
@@Stephaniewashereright Pam wouldn't never done that from all her maternal complications and Bobby was head over hills in love with her which doesn't make sense why he didn't chase after her to return to Dallas.
Bobby's bedroom grew mighty big from the first days. Remember the scene when Pam told Bobby she was pregnant and he was in the bathroom brushing his teeth?

I know the show had a thing about showers but this was more than a little awkward. Couldn't Bobby have been out herding the cattle or milking the goats?
this double looked JUST like VP- Why didn't they add her back? The show might have not went into cardiac arrest as it did. This story made no sense.... since they were scared of killing off Pam, why ruin the character by making her run off?.... Katherine should have been used, kidnapped her, Make more sense than what transpired. She comes back and is very insecure about her looks....
Katherine should have been added as a regular YEARS before this with her name and picture on the opening credits. She would have needed to have been less crazy and toned down some. Two "baddies" worked on Dynasty (Alexis and Sable) and Jr and Katherine could have shared a show to. Katherine should have been CEO of her father's company which at times could have battles Ewing Oil. Yes she could have been with Bobby once it was established Pam was gone. VP should have came back to tie Pam's story up but not as dying. She should have bought an island in the Caribbean and went to be there sharing custody of christopher with Bobby
Another bad decision by Leonard Katzman, who was pretty much running the show by now. He was also responsible for firing Susan Howard (Donna) because she was vocal about the bad dream explanation.
Captain spauding Katherine Wentworth had to help her move or why could she in all those damage nerves from that explosion she was seated during her last scene used by Margret Michaels.
She does resemble Victoria Principal A LOT! If you listen closely, the way she talks & the sound of her voice even resembles her - minus the Texas accent. She would have been the perfect person to replace V.P. in the role of Pam if the producers of the show had ever considered replacing her - instead of hoping that V.P. would change her mind & come back to the show... ETA: Somewhere along the line the wrong video got posted for the comments that have been posted. The original video was where Bobby came across a Pam look-a-like - hence the comments. This needs to be corrected so people don't get confused. Just sayin'!...
I don't know but maybe it could have worked with her as a recast mean she did sorta resemble Victoria P. and they could have explained that fact (as Bobby mentioned) she did have extensive plastic surgery. Easily explaining the little difference in looks.
I wished they had made her the new Pam. By this time, they knew VP wasn’t going to return. With the Pam character, the shows final seasons would have been so much better.
Agreed . . . .the show's qualify was never the same (even after 1985). Up to the point that Bobby was killed in 1985 - that was the end of the best of the show. All down hill after that (and that includes that annoying April)!
BULLSHIT! THE DREAM SEASON WAS DECENT AND THE POST-DREAM SEASON WITH WES PARMALEE AND ENDS IN PAMELA'S CAR CRASH WAS FUCKING AWESOME!! AFTER PAMELA AND DONNA BOTH LEAVE, THEN IT SUCKED.
@@anthonykuszel8024 Dallas had a lot of great storylines, but this one was pretty far fetched. The Wes Parmalee story was beyond far fetched as well, but I loved it!! Any storyline with Barbara Bel Geddes is great. Most brilliant actress ever, next to Jean Stapleton.
@@brianvivickers3712 I think she felt the leaving of the great script writers and being replaced by new writers just ruined the show. I think she didn't like how her character was progressing. She must have just wanted out I guess.
Jabroni Camel They set it up as part of a cliffhanger because they had hoped to lure Victoria Principal back in between seasons (as they had with Patrick Duffy and Barbara Bel Geddes). When they couldn’t, they brought in that lookalike for a scene to (poorly) tie up Pam’s story.
Double whammy was losing Sue Ellen not long after. Pam and Sue Ellen were more or less "replaced" by April and Cally, niether of who could hold a candle to Grey and Principal
I believe he was also a potential father for Christopher, at least Kristen convinced him he was. He was paying blackmail money to her just like JR was. He was a nasty piece of work.
@@LB-gz3ke Yes, but Kristin miscarried the baby that was either J.R.'s or Jordan's. She quickly got pregnant again by Jeff Farraday and blackmailed both J.R. and Jordan for child custody
@@anthonylofaso6137 Watch the episode where he found out his girlfriend Liz sold her company to J. R in order to get his appointment to the Energy Department. I think he finally lost his mind at that point.
Was it ever specified WHERE Cliff found Pam? The reboot series said Houston, but that's a contradiction, since this LeMay guy says Cliff has traveled North. (Also, why would Jordan Lee just go to Houston for a vacation.)
If Bobby and I were married I wouldn’t have never left him or our child especially if we had disagreed on some things Bobby was still my husband no reason to walk out the door saying goodbye Bobby I don’t want to be your wife anymore I certainly would have regretted it if I did, Bobby would have gone after me anyways, to work out everything I would look at him crying saying oh Bobby I love you and our son just please hold me in your arms I need a hug from you
yeah they ruined Dallas when that happened and brought in these other characters, it just wasn't the same! bobby kept losing these women, its awful! they should have had that lady be recast as Pam - the one Bobby was seeing - Jeanne
After VP quit and Susan Howard was fired, the magic was gone and it wasn’t the same show. To me, the dream season was the last year with the Dallas “feel”.
