I might actually consider moving to Dallas now. But I have to see who the voters pick in the next election before I draw any conclusions. If the voters continue to elect demoCRAPS into office, then I will stay away.
Proud of Mayor He has done a great Job regardless of Party. He has done a great Job on Crime a Mayor we can all be proud of. Take Dallas to the next Step!
Exactly! I can’t stand either one of them as far as political affiliation goes. Although they take it a step further with lying by omission and structure with every news article slanted democrat. Blatant lies, then they will squeeze in a nugget of fact in the very last sentence just to cover their butts, in case they’re called out to the journalistic ethics board. It’s worse than the yellow press. All big city newspapers are left leaning these days but DMN and WFAA push it to new heights.
One of many reasons he is strategically making the change is due to the mas influx of illegals coming in, causing many voters to vote Republican this next time around, smart guy.
Municipal governments (mayor/city council) in Texas are nonpartisan. You can’t run with an R or D by your name. It doesn’t really matter what party he’s affiliated with unless he is looking at higher office in the near future.
Exactly, Johnson is counting on the unwashed to not know this. And since Texas doesn't list political parties in its voter registrations he can't "switch" that either. There's literally nothing to "switch". Johnson is attention-whoring, nothing more.
Switching doesn’t make him one of us….his future decisions will determine who he actually is. I’d rather go with a long-standing AMERICAN before trusting these sort of moves from people/corporations Do research people, ask around
I disagree with you because they keep electing many democrats all the time. I’m Republican and start getting more republicans in those big cities again and democrats are failing because they support defund of the police, soft on crime, releasing violent criminals off the streets, and more.
If you going to change your party do it during an election years. Yes some folks vote by party and some don't. Dallas is no safer than any other big city, you just don't hear about it. If you switch party then the people need to have a say.
@@sallyjohnson9504 Many have not had economic freedom. Many are still dependent on the Government, dependent on a Job and living in Governement run ghetto's. Let's reach one and teach one.
I'm all about be conservative to a certain point but being fiscally conservative at the expense of the poor is unacceptable. Conservatives make cuts and usually those cuts are for programs that help the poor, while at the same time making things better for the wealthy. How do you think roads get built, or schools, police and firefighters get their funding. It doesn't appear as if by magic, so it comes from the taxes we all pay. Schools are now mostly only 4 days a week because of policy not being made to benefit those working in the school system which makes schools more dangerous to work in and not paying a teacher a living wage and making them have to buy their own supplies is horrible. Conservative politicians should be forced to live on welfare and food stamps for 1 year with no outside help other than that they get through the programs. Then maybe they will see what millions of poor have to contend with on a daily basis. It's one thing to see or hear of some peoples struggles, but a completely different story to have to live with those struggles.
Helping government employees is where most of that tax money goes. Pensions, Vacations amd health benefits that nobody gets but them. You could fire 80% of the government and nothing would change. If you did the math you'd see for every dollar you spend on a government program the poor get .0006 cents of it.
I prefer God, family and community to the continued top-down, one size fits all, take the quackzine or else solutions, that are never ever really solutions. SIX plus decades of leftism, and American cities look like crap! We need God back in public life, fathers in homes and much less government dependence and interference in American life.
@@robwilkerson8139 How is voting Republican going to force men to assume their responsibilities as fathers??? The same thing with religion. It should be a personal choice. The fact that men are leaving their place as fathers is a national problem. Divorce accounts for a significant percentage.
Because people don’t want their city to turn into all the other blue cities where they are soft on crime and can crap on public streets. Democrat policies are crap.
@@1966bluemax From the earliest days of the plandemic, the government went well beyond its proper authority under the guise of "safety." Conservatives were the most likely to know that masking was unnecessary and unconstitutional from the start. The mayor's target audience is not true conservatives.
If you believe and law and order, no need to change party affiliation, just do what is right exactly where you are. This is more political motivated than doing the right thing
