Damaged By Accutane, Roaccutane, Isotretinoin.
Interview No.1 - Stefan.
When I became unwell after taking Accutane, ten years ago, Stefan was the first person I found speaking about his negative experiences on RU-vid.
Hopefully people will find this long discussion helpful.

Thank you for being so open about all you've suffered, as well. It takes a lot of courage and it really helps the cause of all us victims.

Maybe I can help you, I have a similar horrible story for 3 years. I have problems with ligaments, problems with the gastrointestinal tract, as well as psycho-emotional. Pay attention, does the deterioration of health (depression, anxiety, agility) appear after eating fatty foods? Eat 5 fried eggs and watch how you feel. Eggs are vitamin A, accutane is a synthetic vitamin A that accumulates in the body and is excreted in the bile when eating (fatty) food and also when taking vitamin A-containing foods.

Great conversation. Really appreciate both your perspectives. Completely agree that treating everything as a medical condition is a fundamental problem in our culture, planning on making a video soon about this.

It's good to see someone else getting this information out. Although I find it hard to listen to. The mania was my reason for coming off it early. Then with time the reality that the side effects were permanent set in. You're exactly right about the side effect of clear skin being long term, yet derms will claim every other side effect is temporary. Whatever mechanism causes the sebacious glands to stop producing oil is the same that causes everything else. I've been told so many times by doctors it's not possible what I'm going through now is associated with Accutane. Not possible.. What a joke. So my skin, my bodies largest organ was affected and still is 7 years later, yet the entire rest of my body, nothing to do with Accutane. Coming from a females perspective, this drug messed up my hormones so much as well.

51:34 this is exactly what I'm dealing with in life right now even the bloating and sugar to cope and not knowing what to do for a job. My future is scary because this isn't even recognized as a problem so I'm worried what other people will think

Thanks a lot for this video. This channel is clearly underrated! I have never taken Accutane but this was a very interesting video for my general culture and I will definitely share it next time I meet someone who has taken this drug. Sadly, I am not surprised by this information because I have noticed a pattern: every time man tries to mess up with God's creation, it always comes with a price.

That's a VERY good thing though. We are friends, we've both had a shit time, the ability to laugh at it together is a sign of strength and resilience. Without that we both could've become 'statistics'.

Do you have any researchers actually investigating this phenomenon? You need that to find a solution
@lifeafteraccutane2173
@lifeafteraccutane2173 5 лет назад
In order for research to be carried out medical professionals need to start LISTENING to people who feel terrible after taking this drug.

Anthony I’ve connected with many doctors over the last ten years, NONE of them really want to touch this, because they just don’t have the time or inclination to help.
@user-xy4ff5yp7b

Life After Accutane As someone training for the medical profession, I think it’s less that and more that they wouldn’t know where to start. The cause of the side effects is not well-understood and most doctors feel very uncomfortable doing anything outside their scope of training because it leaves you open to serious litigation threats. That’s why you need a researcher to take it on because they can be a lot more creative and experimental. Hope everything goes well anyway - I’ve had iatrogenically induced health issues too so I sympathise.

Working on my overall health really helped. Liver flushes, autoimmune paleo diet, switching to running my body on fat, getting plenty of sleep and sunlight, and just recently trying to avoid vitamin A.

This vid waz so awsome and i can relate to all of it thanks you guys so much for putting this out ther. I feel i have enough knowledge to help all of us with this but i have a question im unsure on . Are essential oils bad or good for people who have had accutane because plants ther own toxins as you guys spoke of but i wonder if they are present in oils and also in organic fruit and veg when you juice things like carrots and celery? I know they are in the skins alot and the fibre but yea. So 2 questions ther i guess haha 1 about oils and 1 about juicing in regards to toxins.

ricky goullet I don’t put anything on my skin these days, I don’t eat many vegetables, and certainly don’t juice them, although I have heard good things about celery juice. I get most of my calories from seafood and fats these days.

is it possible accutane triggered some underlying condition that would manifest eventually regardless. im on it right now, got it prescribed now at age 29 even though i dont have acne anymore (other than occasional pimple after shaving), just for general skin appearance, ive only been made aware of these side effects after approx 1.5 months of getting on it. if i get any of these serious symptoms ill discontinue immediately. accutane subreddit is teeming with positive success stories though fyi.

Isaia Costa For a lot of people, the serious long term side effects don’t occur until after finishing the medication. This is a drug that is designed to work for the rest of your life, after taking for a short period. I guess what you’re suggesting is possible, but even if you’re right, why would a person want these illnesses to manifest while they are young and healthy. If I’ve learned anything in the last 11 years it’s that MOST illness is caused by our environment. EVERYTHING we put on or in our bodies affects our health. Good luck.

I'm late here but that reddit group won't allow anti accutane comments. you'll be shouted down. i should add that the level of knowledge of accutane on that group is low. some don't know it can dry your skin nvrmind that it's an old school anti cancer drug
