@@ShioriNovelite1 If we take what the company said at face value it would seem that the management was taking disproportionate work over for the talents, in that case it would make since why they might ask the talent to pay up, but the amount they charged is extreme, unless they spent millions on this talent and weren't making that much back from her, which they were making a disproportionate amount off of her work, then the amount they charged her is just ludicrous.

I think they are referring to the fact that instead of one play button with "Fuwamoco" that they would have to share between them, they have a play button for each of them with their separate names on them. RU-vid accommodated for their unique situation without being asked by them. Edit: Hololive ordered an extra plaque for them, not RU-vid.

You can apply this to almost anything though, make a good product/service and as long as everything behind the scenes is in order, you'll still make money. When corporations get greedy and abusive, the product/service tends to greatly suffer, I've seen this happen time and time again, and it's a coin toss as to whether or not the consumer puts up with it.

More likely he is scared if not something in his own agency happens next, hopefully fixing anything that could implode on them and hurt the talents behind their properties. Afterall even Hololive is leaning on the Idol image and likely the same entertainment contracts that are standard in Japan across all voice actors, musicians and others in Japan.

Just for those unaware, FuwaMoco weren’t making a jab at Nijisanji. The context of them saying that was that while they were expecting to receive a play button, they weren’t expecting to both receive one and were surprised about that. They simply clarified that they hadn’t asked for two but were pleasantly surprised that Cover did that for them So yeah… still makes Niji look bad, but that wasn’t their intention lol

The other 2 that are still streaming, 1 is having their agency graduate before they do (lol), and the other 1 is in a sad girl company. Supporting companies never made sense to me. @@strategicperson95 it isn't just vtuber, it's standard for all the talent agencies in the east(you'd be shocked by the contracts your fav kpop group has, or fav jrock artist, or fav seiyuu). They all based themselves off how the japanese agencies were run and the Japanese based their talent agencies from how things were done during "the golden age of Hollywood/music/entertainment"(as things used to be like that here way back in like the 40's and 50's) as well as trying to copy Johnny's(the progenitor of the black idol agencies). As for why cover is different? Part of it is yagoo and part(at least imo) is the other founders of the group, i.e. sora and a-chan and early talents like Roboco, fubuki, matsuri, ect. These girls, some of whom were put through the idol industry ringer so knew how it can go badly, were going to stand up for themselves and had demands before joining/agreeing to stay. They sought an equitable employee (talent) /employer power sharing agreement from the start and yagoo was more than happy to give that

I'm not super familiar with idol culture but I heard of some weird revenue splits and that groups would take years after debut to finally get out of debt. maybe V&U is run like this, except I don't think they train talents for years like you would idols. this entire thing still sucks tho.

Because it's been pretty bad with graduations and such this year I'd like to clarify that Kiki Lockheart is NOT leaving EIEN on poor terms. She's stated that EIEN is keeping her in their contacts if they wish to commission art from her and she has given management permission to contact her for cameos or guest appearances for special occasions in the future. She's stated her reasons for leaving are personal and have nothing to do with any problems with EIEN. Rare as it's becoming this is a graduation on good terms.

Usually it's because they're trying to fix something. Before they've had audio problems that they've fixed for the VOD (the live mixing for Marine's performance last year was particularly scuffed and was later fixed). I noticed in the live feed several moments where the camera unintentionally cut to black which could also be causing a delay.
