Just an fyi for those that don't know, if you jokingly ban someone in chat too many times Twitch will automatically perma ban the account thinking it is a bot account. I know this is probably rare, but I did witness it happen to someone who had to get the help of the person who banned them to explain what happened.

I guess it's not impossible, but it's unlikely. The spammer might have brought attention to it and gotten it caught in the bot, but her content was reviewed and deemed to break the rules after all, since youtube is super hypocritical and discriminatory. Unless a big wave happens to support her case, it's gonna be hard for her to get it back

Sadly, Canaria's account was banned and removed from RU-vid. It was super tragic, especially as her mod, to see this happen when plenty of other ASMR and regular VTubers have much more sexually explicit content posted on RU-vid. Cana's content is not sexual in nature aside from the standard ASMR related things like ear licking and kisses and such. No hate to other ASMR VTubers or even other ASMR streamers, but it's just ridiculous that because one person gets spam reported that they have to start all over again.

It's especially inexcusable because the site is programmed to detect suspicious amounts of views/likes from the same person & remove some of them if it gets excessive but they won't do the same thing for dislikes or reports so people can just get away with brigading you even if you report them.

It saddens me to keep hearing about well-known highly thought of vtubers with very big fan bases who have managers, lawyers or consultants who seem to not have mentioned anything about trial contracts when it comes to merchandise companies. You do not need to set up year long or multi-year long contracts from the very start, especially with merchandise companies that do not have a proven track record over a good number of years. If it is a brand new company just starting out, you should still stick with a trial plan for a shorter time period (2-3 months) so that you can properly gauge their ability to handle an influx of orders, how long to process those orders and fill them, how quickly they can ship out said merchandise and then how do they handle the inevitable returns scenario that will eventually crop up. As a vtuber, your livelyhood hinges on your fanbase and so you should never be swayed by promises of "getting a better deal if you immediately go full throttle" Because that is how you can find yourself in a situation where someone owes you thousands of dollars and unable to pay.

To be fair, the entire situation with Selen Tatsuki was pretty historical in how it threw vtubing in the mainstream. Before that, it was mainly a powerful niche reserved for weebs and gamers. But since then, I have seen so many people become vtubers or express interest in vtubing. It was an incident that brought so much attention from outside of the vtubing community. And with nijisanji failing to properly handle the situation before continuing to have scandals more and more, it's easy to keep memeing on them.

I would love it if vTubers came forth more about things like Copium Merch. I've lost track of how many said the merch company owes them large sums.... Then there's some of the art stuff, where the 'artist' just keeps them in limbo..... I'm sure there are other things besides those happening too. But it all stays hush because ....reasons? Not blaming the vTubers. Just saying they benefit themselves by speaking up.

Why are there so many issues with basic services? This entire episode has a bad case of “But wait, THERE’S MORE!!” scenarios. People pay for a service, you are supposed to perform the service you were paid for, I don’t understand how this is a completely alien concept to people. Not being able to provide the services will eventually put you out of business by terrible reputation.

not sure anyone will see this or care but anyone who plans to pay an artist needs to thoroughly read their TOS and start asking q's THE MOMENT they breach it, it's a contract for both them AND you pay special attention to any mention of approximate 'delivery/turn around time' and 'refunds', raise mental red flags if they're sketchy and BAIL if they don't exist at all don't be afraid to chargeback if you can't reach them (esp past delivery time), or they start giving excuse after excuse, don't give them leniency to not treat their job, like it's a fucking job you wouldn't order from a store if it didn't tell you when you could expect shipping or there was no refund policy, don't do it for digital goods either, you're paying for a service, act like it
