Dame Edna was on an Australian show the other week & she was asked a question from a viewer .... How do you cope with sex after 50 ? As quite as a flash & a look of disgust on her face she answered ... most people only have 1 or 2 but 50 thats to many. She's doing her last tour this year @ 78 years old its to hard living from hotel to hotel. We Love You Dame Edna
Humphries .. and if you have ever served him in hospitality he can be very rude and hard on staff I was one, I didnt like him after that its hard to see him other wise !
If you’ve ever seen her with Dame Edna before, she laughs constantly. Everything Edna says insults someone, and Sharon picks it up immediately. She loves it, it it does change her usual demeanor.
Bary Humphrey's prior character, he did for year before Edna, was a drunken sleazy politician who always showed up in in dirty stained suits. He wore a prosthesis with really bad teeth and was very funny. You can find on You Tube
Yerp. Mel Gibson was born in the US while nicole kidman was born in Hawaii and russell crowe was born in New Zealand. They're still Australian citizens
A lot of British and Australian actors and actresses were born in the US, but are citizens of those countries and a lot of American actors and actresses were born in the UK, Australia and other foreign countries and are US citizens. It's something we never really think of and are a bit shocked to find out. It's the same thing when a British, Australian, or New Zealand actor does a spot on American accent in every movie you see them in for years, or Irish or Scottish actors do spot on British or US accents and then one day, you see them giving an interview and they're speaking in their natural accent and your heart almost suddenly stops because you thought they were American actors. You not only have to have a trained ear for accents, but you also have to know how to do accents in order to be able to spot if the American accent is being forced or not, or pretty good, but some words they can't keep consistant or pronounce wrong. That's one good thing about being an actor and a natural mimic with accents.
@suddenlyitsobvious That's great pal, you watched three random videos. I've seen dozens of Edna's recent appearances, and she's as hilarious as ever. If she wasn't funny, I wouldn't bother watching her anymore. Of course, like any comedian, Humphries has his off days, but overwhelmingly he's in great form.
2:23 dame edna is a comedic genius but that joke about that guy being an animal was out of line....you could hear the audience gasp and that hot guy wasn't amused either...
