If you get the context Skip might be right, we don't know yet. Both Dame's shots they were up in the series and weren't in danger of losing. The OKC shot was a freebie they were up 3-1, yes it took balls to take that shot but it wasn't high pressure. Kyrie has been in the highest pressure situations in the finals down 3-1 and played out of his mind including the game 7 winner that was extremely high pressure. That shot is championship deciding shot. Same with Kawhi's shot last year, if these guys miss history could be different. If Dame missed they live to fight another day next game thise are ballsy shots not high pressure. Dame is great but he has slightly underperformed against top teams and occasionally mediocre teams like the Pelicans.

@Ikari The Pirate How did I disrespect them? They were mediocre playoff team, they weren't elite and got swept by the Warriors. I'm not saying Dame isn't great but I think people are slightly overrating him right now. He is an elite player but he isn't top tier. He isn't on the Kawhi, Lebron, KD level and I'm not convinced he is better than Kyrie or Steph who have been injured but had better performances in bigger moments. For me he is on the low end of the second tier behind Steph and Kyrie but easily better than Embid, Nurkic, AD, PG, etc.

Fr the only excuse that's valid is dame chokes the 2nd round but that's never his fault it's a team sport and he has to carry the blazers every single game on his own. Skip just makes the same excuse for every player he hates. They're not as clutch as kyrie, KD is the best player in the world. Bruh they're not even playing this season. So technically dame would he 2nd best in the East. Skip is just biased. I'll take Dame over any current point guard but cp3.

Immediately stopped listening when skip questioned if dame would’ve wanted to take the game winning shot. Dame can hit 40 footers over PG. you think he can’t make a standard 3 over Steph Curry??? Since his rookie year dame has been asking to take the last shot in clutch moments. Nobody is perfect but I feel good about dame taking that shot, if I’m on the other team, I want anybody else but him shooting.

i agree skip is delusional about that but thing is we don’t know. it’s a whole different atmosphere in game 7 of the finals, tied score, 1 minute left, and also in arguably the loudest arena in the NBA in the Oracle. the pressure in that one shot is extraordinary. Dame has never taken a shot in that kind of atmosphere, he’s never had nowhere near that kind of pressure. but like i said, we’ll never know
