If he has a team that can play reliable defense, and bury the chances he gives them, he doesn't have to do it all himself. He was also shooting 52% on wide open 3s through his first 2 seasons and was shooting 44% on Catch and shoot attempts. He is and has always been one of the best pure shooters in the league but he has to carry a lot offensively since LA left. Give him a Draymmond green or LeBron and let him play off the ball and he’s shooting over 40% every season. I’ve watched his entire career and those numbers come from a graphic from the announcers.

Narratives will say otherwise but if we are talking just talent and skill???? DAME is EASILY Top 3 of all time.... I’d even say that he’s number one with the only player competing being Steph. Zeke, Stockton, Magic couldn’t score like these guys not even CLOSE. Dame also has never had another HOFr or All-star let alone Joe Dumars, Dennis Rodman, Karl Malone, Kareem, Worthy. I don't count the great catch and shoot players (like Joe Harris or Duncan Robinson) because what these guys are doing is an entire different level. They got Covington last offseason lmao, Nurk is one of the best defensive centers in the league. Get rid of CJ and Dame runs out of spacing completely. Dame himself just needs to learn to defend better. It's the only way. Dame is Trae Young levels of terrible defense right now.

Dames game reminded me of cavs v warriors I think 2017. Last 2 minutes Lebron LITERALLY made like 8 layups in a row. And gsw kept dropping 3s nonstop. I’ve never seen that type of dominance literally he scored every time on the way down
