Hopsin is my favorite artist. He is intelligent and he brings out the best in him when he starts rapping about true and real events that has happened to him or that has happened to someone he knows he’s a masterpiece no one like him he’s unique and the only one that I can listen to his music and I won’t get bored.

He spent far too long trying to make a career out of shock value and being edgy and doing that sacrificed his image as a serious artist. He’s not underrated, because he put himself in this situation. His decision making and history led him here, his refusal to evolve with the times, and refusal to drop petty beefs. He watched almost every other artist from his era become bigger than him for a reason. His real potential lied in the Ill Mind series but that’s been dead in the water for almost 8 years. He peaked 10 years ago and was damn near a household name but will likely never see that level of mainstream relevance again.

Hopsin is a c list rapper. Maybe he gets an A rating where he comes from but I've only heard his name brought up twice before and the song they played for me was ass, corny, I was bopping my head like ok I'll be kind but I should've told the guy who asked me to play the song this shit stupid and just cut it off on him. Nocturnal rainbows is amazing. I showed my mom it when it first dropped. She became more of a Hopsin fan than me God rest her soul. Was 16 when u showed her him..stopped following him as I found other musical interest just for her to show me some songs of his again when I was 28... I'm 32 now sadly she passed away from cancer when I was 30 a month be4 my 31st b-day...Hopsin a legend my mother was super critical of rap artist cuz she was a underground rapper in the late 80s early 90s till she had me n my twin sister. Turned down a deal with Roc a fella..it was a deal for her and Amil who is my godmother. Y'all older ones should remember Amil from Songs with Jay Z and the movie state property she was the woman who shot beans at the end in court.. Moms knew she couldn't kept me n my twin at that time if she pursued her dream..a pregnant 17 year old in 1991 couldn't go on tour etc and do the things needed to succeed.
