If you play damn backwards it tells you where the needle drop’s next terror attack is happening. Keep asking questions. Investigate Kendrick and needledrops connection
DAMN. = 4 letters + LAMAR = 5 letters = 9 Kendrick= 8 letters + TND= 3 letters = 11 9/11 Subtract both of those numbers by one? 8/10 Now what’s that? The score he gave to Section 80. What’s Section 80.? Let’s take a closer look here. What’s the square root of 80? 8.94427191 Round that up? 9. How many characters (including the space) are in the phrase “Section 80”? 10. 9/10. Or, more commonly referred to as, the score for Good Kid MAAD City. So now we have an 8/10 and a 9/10. You can start to notice a pattern. The pattern is shown here as follows: {7/10} ; 8/10 ; 9/10 ; x What is “x” equate to when we view this pattern? 10/10. What’s a 10/10? To Pimp A Butterfly. The album following TPAB, is DAMN. Now using what we’ve learned so far, what should the score to DAMN. be? 11/10 Yet, Anthony has pulled the wool over our eyes and reverted BACK to the 7/10? So what does this mean for our pattern? 8/10 ; 9/10; 7/10 [?] ; x So what will x be in this equation? I think the answer is quite simple. 3/11. How did I come to that conclusion? What is 10 subtracted by 7? 3. Now what happens when you multiply 3 by 2 (accounted for by the two frames in Anthony’s glasses)? 6. How many albums does Kendrick Lamar have? 5. (At the time time of the next release.) 6 + 5 = 11 3/11 will be reviewing Kendrick’s next album on the needle drop channel. Do I need to explain further? Keep asking questions. Stay vigilant.
Kendrick Lamar - Duckworth: "It was always me versus the world Until I found it's me versus me Why, why, why, why? Why, why, why, why? Just remember what happens on earth stays on earth! We gon' put it in reverse"
Hashimoto 6billion Looked at his channel. He has a bunch of videos and even a few I have seen but had no clue it was him. Why you got to ask him who he is like he is a nobody? Maybe check their channel first.
"Is it weakness? Is it wickedness? You decide if we live or die." You play the regular album, you get the weakness path and Kendrick finds God and is alive during GOD. You play collector's edition, you get the wickedness route. Ducky is dead, so Kendrick loses his faith and becomes a gang member, eventually dying in BLOOD.
Bro missed the point, in the reverse version he portrayed the story of him going further and further into wickedness, ending with god killing him for his sins on the now ending track Blood. Which would be a possible outcome if his father died.
Also downplaying the quote where kendrick both said the album plays as a full story that flows better than front to back and that they had designed it that way in the studio
I really do adore this meme. It's tru doe, Anthony overdid it with that word, after the 32nd time I was just like, "damn, fantano is racist af, just like the fader said"
Random thought but I always enjoyed listening to Undun by the Roots in reverse. The album is about a man's death in reverse, so listening to the tracklist backwards, you can get the story of how he died. To me that's the kind of "vibe change" I want if I'm gonna go to the trouble of playing an album backwards. Otherwise, I cannot be fucked to
KING GEEDRA the concept really doesn't change but there are a few little things that make sense in reverse. Like the phone call from his cousin (towards the end of the original album) is referenced in the third song (original order). Played backwards it makes a little more sense. I think he thought some of that stuff through, but to me it seems more like a small Easter egg rather than a focused concept.
LOVE starts out with saying DAMN. LOVE or LUST which makes more sense with it being first. DUCKWORTH says put it in reverse. FEAR has reverse vocals to tell you to put it in reverse. I could care less about buying it again, but when people say kendrick is just going along with fan theories its annoying like he obviously has it like that for a reason, no its not some grand message its mostly a simple one, but he defiantly thought of it before.
i think top dawg told kendrick just to say what he needed to appease the fans because kendrick knows he didnt make this album with the intention of it being played in reverse but at the time he was questioned the album was still heavily in rotation so shooting the theory down would have affected sales and there was so much more intrigue because of this fan theory. his label is trying to make money off of this now and its a damn shame.
You could literally take the DAMN you already have on itunes and make a DAMN playlist with the tracks in reversed order. This only makes sense if they make physicals.
not to mention the fact that the fox news clip makes absolutely no sense now. they didn't even make the tracks flow properly, it's literally just a backwards playlist.
strowen at first I thought that would be a representation of Kendrick's lifetime work and the controversy he left behind but yea it really doesn't fit being the last thing you hear
Nyshyn it’s a story about him, it starts with his Dad and ends with him in the present day at the moment he was recording the album. It’s chronological
Memes make music popular, relevant, and they make money. Honestly crazy how much your song/album becoming a meme can make you money and can even make your career. Look at Man’s not hot.
I do agree with DNA sounding weird in the backwards flow, but BLOOD is an okay ending regarding that Kendrick would be remembered negatively when the album is in reverse (choosing for sins over virtue), hence the Fox News segment.
It goes from weakness to wickedness and it's a whole reversal of the narrative. It's about going away from God in that order. It's a choose your own adventure album
I completely agree, if they were gonna put out a Collector's Edition they really should've fucking edited some of the songs, ESPECIALLY the "now we're gonna throw it in reverse" in Duckworth or the ending of Blood COULD Have literally just ended with the gunshot, deleting the "is it wickedness" and the fox news shit. All they had to do was make some edits to make the Collector's Edition sound as if it was MEANT to be played this way. I can see DNA be an ending song, albeit a weaker ending song than Duckworth. But it would work in the context of this being the wrong way and the meaning of death being shitty and anti-climactic, because ironically enough DNA is not a climactic song at all. Right now, though, TDE just looks like it made an EA-type money grab.
Shane Benjamson Yeah i feel like the ending of BLOOD (The wickedness and fox news shit) could have been put on the end of YAH. for the collectors edition because that transition from BLOOD to DNA is great and shouldn’t be messed with.
FriedSoup 10 mins is nothing compared to 10 dollars. You spend 10 dollars for 40-50 minute albums. I get that people wanna buy this for the collector's edition, because collecting could be a hobby and you could be a really big Kendrick Lamar fan, but other than that...you can not justify spending 10 dollars over 10 mins.
I hope Kendrick's next album is 10 tracks, and there are 3,628,800 versions of the album released, one version for each possible permutation of track ordering.
Fantony I am BEGGING you to watch the breakdown of DAMN. called "A Deep Dive into DAMN. - Kendrick Lamar's Darkest Opus" and re-review the album, genuinely you are missing the point and I feel like you will never give it a second chance again but please man, this album is great and so slept on in the hip hop critics community. The reason kendrick said VIBE is because he didn't want to spoil it, Kendrick could care less about money at that time lets be real, To Pimp A Butterfly was Kendrick's way to try and change the world, DAMN. is him realizing he's gotta change himself first. That's why the reversed version exists, there would be no reason for Kendrick to drop this at all cause he would legit become a hypocrite and pretty much just do rap for the money, he does it for the people and I know I don't need to write a whole paragraph but please Antony Fantano, re-review it kindly, thank you.
Fantanos frustrations with the album don't lie with the themes, message and concept but the overall aesthetic, sonical ideas and performances on the tracks and as a whole listen from front to back feels abit disjointed, by his point of view
@@mashinjunior9580 Fair enough, i do think there is a fair bit of lackluster performance in the transition of tracks but still, it's crazy he calls this average when it won a pulitzer prize and is arguably kendrick's most deepest album
The album was basically u decide if Kendrick lives or dies if u listen to it the right way kendricks dad is spared he doesn't get into gun violence and is the modern day Kendrick. If u listen to it in reverse he survives as a kid but ends up getting killed by lady liberty (the blind woman) at the end. Ik this is old but I was bored🤷🏽
Thank you. And I am tired or hearing that he confirmed that it tells a story backwards. All he said was it gives a different vibe not that there was another story. It is annoying how people are amazed but they don't appreciate when others do it. Like Lupe who did this but better with multiple stories going on wit his T&Y album but no one going crazy like that.
@@kooleyBear it's a story of an entire life playing out in front of you, duckworth is his birth and blood is his death it is a whole fucking story backwards and you're stupid if u don't see it
Lets all pressure anthony to make a black and white reupload channel and give each video 10x the views of the original videos so his meme dream can come true.
Here what to do: Add the songs from damn into a playlist in reverse order, and call it “Damn collectors edition” Then save a picture of the collectors edition cover from google images. Set it as the playlist picture. There you go.
I definitely don't agree with the fact that DUCKWORTH only works as a closer. In the reverse ordering where the album depicts an alternate timeline Kendrick, this song gives context AND foreshadowing on the Kung Fu Kenny timeline. BLOOD under this context also allows it to be a closer. As for the rest of the songs, I genuinely feel like that they all feel scattered because Kendrick is trying to fit both of these timelines into the songs (KFK timeline and the main timeline where Kendrick is conflicted because of perceptions of him and his actions). This doesn't excuse the songs, but at least makes their faults more understandable. Overall I'd probably give it the same strong 7 rating still, because it is still overall a listenable album no matter which way it's ordered. The ambitions for this album don't make its problems all of a sudden disappear, though. I just wanted to comment this because your comments on DUCKWORTH and BLOOD were made because you're a cynical d/ck
