Elena was clearly right about Damon being hurt and acting out, BUT, I also think she highly misjudged that Damon hitted on Rebekah specyfically to get back on her, while it was coincidental, where Rebekah and Damon both were in bad moods and decided to let some pressure off with eachother.
Can you all think about this in perspective for a second here? You all are calling Elana selfish for pointing out that Rebecca tried to kill her, but if it were you in her shoes I know all of you would be a hell of a lot more pissed about it than Elana was. And you all would be WAY more butt hurt about it. Why people hate on Elena for this? She is in love with Damon and understandably is jealous that he slept with someone else. The woman is flawed (which is relatable), and her feelings are so complicated that she tries to hide it by bringing up how Rebekah killed her-which fails, it just further shows that she has feelings for him. I love Elena in this scene. She’s trying to stop what’s going on with him and Rebekah with outrage and telling everyone, but it only serves to call her out. She is full of shit and deep down she knows it. And everyone saw it. A perfect character is a non believable unrelatable character.
@@esnx9751 not to the same extent. She had never seen Stefan lash out intentionally to make someone mad, and id say that’s most of why she was upset about it. What makes her reaction to Damon x Rebecca notably jealous is because Damon doing such a thing is expected, and he has done such things the whole time she knew him.

She was jealous then, and she was jealous now. Otherwise, she wouldn't say anything at all, especially not the same exact words. To add about your original comment, Elena is actually one of the least relatable characters. If we're being quite honest anyway yet characters who are more relatable and less perfect get more hate than her (not saying she deserves the hate). As well as that, it's weird how she's allowed to string along Damon, manipulate him and the situation, yet he can't sleep with somebody else. Tf is there to like about her in this scene.
@@esnx9751 stefan made a point to start dating rebecca after him and her broke up, and pointedly said to her face 'this is what i look like when i'm not in love with you'- meaning, i don't care if i'm dating the one who just killed you.' right after rebecca had killed her. she has a right to do what she wants with her body, she's not owned by stefan. there's nothing wrong with falling out of love with someone and then loving someone else, it can't be helped. she never cheated on him, that's a lie you've made up in your head because of this misogynistic ideal that a woman is forever owned by a 'nice guy.' the first time she kissed damon, it was after stefan had cruelly broken up with her. the second time, it was after she and stefan knew she had feelings for damon and stefan encouraged it. the third time, it was after stefan and her broke up. it is indeed weird how she's upset with damon-and that is what shows that it's really out of misplaced, denied jealousy. its her feelings showing without the intent to show them.

And when she transitioned, he literally made her feel like a broken toy that needs to be fixed! Tbh their relationship was way over in s2-3 but Elena continued cause of her fantasy of Stefan and the right choice. There were a lot of mistakes on both the sides which paved the way for Delena

Actually in all if these characters Damon didn't display jealousy ever. Caroline, Stefan, Elina, Tyler had shown jealousy even after their relationship was over and their partners slept with others. Damon lashed out because he was hurt and actually he was hurt the most by people. Same with Klaus.
You know what though any time she said he was doing something for her attention or to make her jealous or to get a reaction from her...she was right pretty much everytime. But the moment the sad sappy version of Elena was fading and she became her trusted again a version before her parents death and Stephen...she would do the same thing to Damen. They were perfect for eachother
she was so annoying in this scene because it was only the evening before that she got mad at damon and told him that him caring so much about her was a problem. (after she always accused him of not having feelings for multiple seasons). then he gets a "rebound" but she obviously doesn't want that either. both brothers have to pine over her but only the way she likes lmao.

It wasn’t her intention to set out to betray but to protect herself and her family. Rebekah was a liability and that’s a fact, she’s his sister and has been by his side for hundreds of years you can’t trust a bond like that to break easily. Elena had never done anything with the intention to be evil and to hurt she’s literally a 17 yr old child doing the best she can. People are so judge mental of her but when it comes to over a hundred year old characters who make the worst decisions you have all the empathy and understanding in the world.

Oki so, single vampire has sex with single Original and Elena pretends to not be jealous for the whole episode despite telling Damon to his face that him loving her is a problem. She didn't mean it but it doesn't matter, you said it to hurt him. She strung both brothers along for much of season 3 and 4 for selfish reasons. She got on my nerves. "Oh she tried to kill me!" Yeah, because you stabbed her in the back when she was vulnerable. Vampires kill for less lets be fr. Elijah tried to kill her ass this same episode using Rebekah like a tool. Point being, you cant push people away and then be mad they stay away. You on purpose hurt his feelings and oh look, he had sex. Best part is, if Elena had taken a hint when he hung up on her, she never would have known they slept together.
One confirmed by on screen name drop, with siblings being alluded to. Off screen, one exec names 4 in total via a tweet iirc: Stefanie, Grayson, Jenna, & Sarah Lillian. Ian has only claimed Stefanie as Damon & Elena’s kid. Basically, atm, at least 1 & maybe as many as 4.

I too can see a son being named Grayson, and a second daughter being named Jenna (would be an additional motivation to get the memorial plaque at the Grill (a la TO S5) installed)…. But I always wonder about Sarah Lillian, it sounds right for a third daughter, but I have to question what sentiment could be so positively significant about her namesakes to Delena to cause the couple to give the namesakes that honour.
