@@uwduh365he speared him directly in the head. You Steelers fans are something else. Can’t handle that the Steelers have always been a team of dirty players
@@michaelfosnaught2238hits him with the shoulder? That’s on the qb for leaving one high into coverage. It’s impossible for the db to do anything else unless he lets him catch it. You new age nfl fans are something else
Because the hit wasn't that bad. The receiver got hit in the face mask with the defenders shoulder. Penalty is one thing but an ejection is criminal. It wasn't intentional. The nfl has become so soft.
Brady made a good point in his interview with SAS when he said "I didn’t throw the ball to certain areas because I was afraid players were going to get knocked out." This needs to be emphasized as much as defensive players aiming for the strike zone is emphasized. This was entirely on Minshew and entirely avoidable.
I agree 100%. Qb’s, OCs have to have some responsibility. To this day I blame Eli Manning for Odell Beckham’s career injury woes. I also think it was Brady who told his receivers to either just go down after a catch or run out of bounds. No need to fight for an extra yard if it’s gonna mean you won’t be playing next week.
Brady threw them fast and low over the middle to keep those guys safe. Peyton Manning turned Austie Collie into a vegetable by throwing meatballs over the middle.
This is exactly what Brady was talking about. STOP rewarding the offense for the QB putting the wr in danger, the db’s are being put in impossible situations
Yep the only option he has it to let the guy catch it clean, he is allowed the hit the guy and he went low and everything, yet still gets penalized. That was a brutal hit and the qb should know better than to throw that
I completely disagree. There's an easy way to make that tackle. Just touch the fucking guy. He's making a dive and he's going to the ground. DB dropped his shoulder and led with his head. That was the point of the helmet to helmet debaucle we were going through a couple years ago. They're trying to relax calls on that rule but it's there for a reason.
@@SpaceAce1993instead of a facepalm, why not answer the question? In that exact situation, is a DB supposed to just let him catch the ball? If so, this is no longer football (in my opinion).
Unfortunate situation. Hospital pass that even the announcers said you could see coming a mile away. The other angle showed it wasn't even helmet to helmet. Kazee committed to a low hit as Pittman left his feet, Minshew left him out there to dry, and gravity did the rest. Hope Pittman is okay, but Minshew owes him an apology for that pass.
Yeah so crazy yet you on a thread that people are already talking about how the guy owned up to what he might have caused and is sorry. Or are you we crazy because we have a sport that almost decapitated a guy? ^^back to back World War Champs
Thats so unfortunate for both players. Looks like the defensive player was trying to hit in the mid section but because the WR reached out for the ball it hit him in the head. Prayers to both players
With the game being so offensively biased to bring in more views they just expect defenses to stop playing while offenses make them look like supporting casts
Actually, back in the day the QB would not throw that or the WR would run the route in a safer manner. These days you CAN do this because 99 out of 100 times the defender respects the rules and when they don’t they get ejected and fined on top of a penalty, when this used to be a legal hit.
Because I don’t really want to. There isn’t much upside in it anymore and it takes the fun out of the games for me. I apologize but that’s just how it is for me nowadays. I’m more active on my twitter if you have an account on there
This is what Tom Brady was talking about when he said there’s mediocrity in the NFL. Minshew put Pittman in danger with that throw. He did the same thing with Downs in the first quarter, causing him to take a huge hit. You gotta protect your players.
@@quinnhelton6479but you expect the safety to be suspended for the rest of the season and when your a backup QB you must prepare to be number 1 at all times
What exactly did he do wrong here? He's trying to make a play and they collided, that's football. Didn't lead with his helmet and it wasn't late at all
@@RavensFan634We, the fans who pay the NFL, don't want more "people" to play football. We want more FOOTBALL players to play football. Football players are a special breed. They're wired differently. This soft shit ain't it. If "people" don't want to see overgrown men literally risk their lives play in and play out, then they need to go watch basketball.
@@bjchit1) To tackle you lead with the shoulders. What's right on top of the shoulders? The head, every tackle is led by the head. 2) Is the reciever in this not also leading with his head? Both players have a right to this ball and the WR is leading with his head by diving for it. Is the DB not also allowed to dive headfirst for the ball or pass breakup?
@@Typzical That’s the sort of idiot doublespeak you can expect from a Stillers fan. There’s more than one way to tackle someone, bozo. We both know the receiver wasn’t leading with anything, he was diving for the ball and utterly defenseless.
@@beginostrich7619I agree. People keep defending the db but if you lead with the head on a defenseless receiver of course they’re gonna get hurt. In what world is that an okay hit? He was already going to the ground and it’s not like he had much of a chance to catch it.
I hope the receiver is alright, but that's a clean hit. The guy literally dropped his shoulder to a foot or two off the ground and turned his body to hit with his shoulder. What else do you want him to do?
Is everything ok with Highlight Heaven?? This is my go-to for sports plays and noticed he hasn't posted anything for a couple weeks.... hope everything is ok!!!
@@johnre5342A penalty isn't a good hit lol. You can disagree with the rules all you want, but it's in the rule book. You can't hit a defenseless receiver in the head. Even if it's your shoulder, it's a penalty. Can't protect yourself when your in midair reaching for a ball. DB getting a nice fine to go along with his ejection.
@@dernifythe rules are different now. I don't think it should be a penalty but given the way they changed the rules it is a penalty. But even if I can accept its a penalty for hitting the receiver in the head it definitely wasn't intentional or should it have warranted an ejection. The ref was dead wrong. The defender was trying to make a play on the ball and the receiver was falling low to the ground. The defender can not change his direction at full speed.
@johnre5342 He wasn't playing the ball, though. His face mask is pointed at the ground during impact, and his arms are tucked under his chest. If he was playing the ball, his face mask would've been pointed at the ball, and his arms outstretched for the ball. He loaded up for the hit, and that's why at least 3 refs threw flags on that play. Kazee has a reputation for that kind of stuff, so he got suspended, too.
@@dernify he wasn't playing the ball. He was looking to give the receiver a shot in the mid section as he caught the ball. The defender started to launch himself to hit the defender not knowing that the ball would be thrown high and the receiver stretched out to catch it and they collided.
Reminds me of a game in 1978 when Jack Tatum of the Oakland Raiders made a similar hit on Darryl Stingley and paralyzed him for life (Stingley died some years later) It was considered a legal hit back then.
Perhaps we should blame football culture for glorifying "big" hits, instead of the QB? For chrissakes, they run weekly videos of the most savage hits, and "manly" fans complain about "pussified" rules when said rules are changed to prevent crippling injuries.
@@CaseytifyQb made a dumbass throw, he knew better, he put that ball in a horrible spot, only way thats not happening is by letting him catch the ball, and if we start doing that the games gonna be ruined
Is this channel shadow banned? My timeline used to be filled with this channels videos last season. I had to search it up so this is the first clip I’ve seen this year
defender already commited for the hit before the WR even decided to dive. Watch it in slow motion. He even led with his shoulder. I am sure Kazee thought it was a hit towards midsection to lower legs. Pittman diving caused the helmet to helmet. Kazee should have not been ejected.
And these decisions of where and when to hit are made in fractions of a second. Flag him...sure I guess. But to eject him is just silly. Hope Pittman is okay though.
So now he’s suspended for the rest of the season what was he supposed to do? Let him catch the ball? there was no possible way he could have stopped the catch without hitting him some kind of way
There’s a difference between hitting with your shoulder and a flat out head to head hit on a guy diving for a ball about to hit the ground, the Steelers were burnt on that play, bad coverage, no need to give a guy brain injuries
Defenses are getting routinely penalized for badly thrown footballs. Personal foul because of a hospital pass or a pass interference because he underthrew him 5 yards.
He deserved to get ejected and fined at least 50k he literally led with the crown of his helmet they teach you not to do this in Elementary and hes a professional athlete. Dirty shitsburgh for ya.
30 years ago guys took those hits and now because his brain is brain is like an egg (scrambled or fried)....he sued cause owners knew his brain would be mush and said nothing. Why, because we love the big hits.
@@erdrick22 30 years ago they drafted players with muscle mass to take the hits one expects in a mans game. Now they draft wide outs that carry lip gloss in their purse to the game.
They need to be ejecting these quarterbacks for setting up their receivers like that, lol. I don't get football anymore. The dude clearly was doing his job, and that was to stop the receiver from catching the pass. Receivers shouldn't dive for passes if they don't want to get hit like that.
Dude just got suspended for the season. Thats a terrible hit and i get that they dont want that in the league, but i grew up with those happening 10 times a game.
@@bolts3catchum, yes he did. We all did. There's literally hardest hit videos about them. The difference is that before it was just football being played. Of course players got ejected when it was intentionally malicious but now it's an ejection even if it's not helmet-to-helmet
