Apparently he created an entire cinematic universe, where each band member had their own movie, but John Landis and the studio insisted it be condensed into the one movie.

I think that was a good decision by them tbf. Worked out pretty great! :)

I just found an LPcopy of 'Blues Brother - Made in America', at a local thrift store! Recorded at the Universal Amphitheater in Hollywood. $3 in mint condition! 😉

Ha, yeah I've been planning to rewatch it here soon as it's been free here on YT for a bit. I remember seeing it back in the day and thinking how nuts it was. I didn't really get into it that much back in the day. I remember wanting it to be better than I found it to be (Probably gave it like a 6 out of 10). I'm curious to see it again now and hopefully it feels at least like a minor sorta obscure classic. I definitely remember the very busy and eccentric set designs and general chaotic quirkiness of the film. Oh and yeah I remember Dan's p*nis like nose* prosthetic, hard to not laugh at one of those ; ) *Hey did ya notice that Owen Wilson gets to laugh all day, any day? 😂

That movie is insane. I begged my Old Man to rent it when I was a kid, and he absolutely hated it. It was an ongoing joke between us, and eventually became our "it's soooo bad it's good" movie.

Yeah I haven’t generally seen the Canadians are nicer thing usually being true. There’s a strong passive aggressive sentiment there usually. They’re kind of like people from Wisconsin mostly.

The ones who are nice I don’t know if that’s immediately because they’re Canadian. Also their politics are horrific they’re like verging on dictatorship after years of terrible voting.

When I was a smart ass teenager in my thirties, a friend of mine went to Aruba and brought me an Aruba t-shirt. One night when I was good and loaded, I got a permanent magic marker and above the Aruba logo on the shirt I wrote _"What do you want for nothin',"_ and below it I wrote _"Biscuit?"_ So it said _"What do you want for nothin', Aruba Biscuit?"_ :)
