I am an Australian lawyer watching this awful situation and tragedy from down here. My heart goes out to the Markel family and it looks like that, finally, the family is going to get justice. It started with Charles, now Donna and I hope that it ends with Wendi.
I don't think the daughter is guilty in anyway. She couldn't control her mother's and brother's action. She is a victim too I believe but I can be wrong. I don't see any guilt on her part. Again, you can't control other people.
Wendi is definitely involved and has much knowledge about it all. The mother/brother/father didn't just jump into BS because they wanted to make sure she stayed close to home. This is a selfish family.
Proud to say she is a Canadian. And we have manners and let the courts do their thing. God I sure hope her hubby and herself and the other family members get to see those boys.
Much respect for the Markel’s. They remained poised and showed a lot of strength to sit through each trial. No facial expressions through all the testimony especially seeing them in the gallery through Charlie’s trial. Listening to Wendi literally lie about them having access to their grandchildren. Listening to wiretaps while Donna tending to their grandchildren, and Charlie’s BS extortion defense/lies. It’s too much to process. I don’t know if I could have the strength they had. All in the spirit of justice for their son. God rest his Dan Markel’s soul. He’s prosecuting from the grave. An attorney in life and afterlife. My heart breaks for the Markel’s. Hugs and prayers from afar. We love and support the Markel’s. They have much support from around the globe 🌍 The Adelson’s are morally bankrupt. They are Godless and have no heart and soul. I believe in karma and “you get what you give.” They have blood on their hands and now will pay the price!

This crime was completely senseless. My heart goes out to Dan's parents & sister. As for Donna Adelson, why would you EVER have your own son involved in such an evil plot? She should pay the price. Dan's children are growing up without their loving dad.. This is what Donna Adelson did to her 2 grandkids. She had their dad murdered. That is not love. To do this to your grandkids. To do this to your once son-in-law. Just so absolutely evil.
She also lived an extraordinary life. She did all sorts of important, nationally important, things in her life - has had a real role in the development of her country. Unlike Donna Adelson who only pushed the boundaries on expenditure of plastic surgery. Listening to speak in phone calls - explains completely the idea of the banality of evil.
Ruth Markel, is a warrior. It's hard enough to deal with grief but murder? 10 years? 3 trials? No access to her grandchildren? She's phenomenal. ❤ I can't imagine how proud her son must be of his mom.

Charlie being convicted & Donna now arrested has changed Ms Markel’s look. In court she looked tired, as anyone would, now she looks fresh & so much happier. It really makes me happier to see her this way, also. To Mr & Mrs Markel, Dan’s sister & the grandkids, I hope this is the best holiday season you’ve had in a while.
The Markel’s seem like such sweet people, my heart goes out to them for how much grief & heartbreak they’ve been through. Having a son violently murdered is horrific enough, but to have your grandkids ripped away from you just rubs salt in the wounds. Ruth & Phil are getting older & because of those evil people, they’re missing out on so many milestones & memories. I can’t imagine how their hearts are aching. I hope these arrests & convictions can bring them a little bit of peace.
Thank you to every one who was brave enough to come forward with all the little pieces necessary to convict those responsible for Dan's murder...the neighbor, the ex-boyfriend, etc. So much respect to all of you.
Ruth is an incredible woman. May I have just a portion of the devotion she has for her son. I can’t imagine what it takes to survive a tragedy of this magnitude.

I think it was Donna but Wendy intentionally pushed her buttons. Wendy over dramatized the effects the divorce was having on her but it was Donna who got the murder plot in motion. The incoming hearing on Donna & Supervised visits was the last straw.
You are exactly correct!!!! Wendi uses everyone she can to get what she wants and always covers her ass! I think the brother will eventually talk in prison and implicate her in the hit for hire!

I feel so bad that the boys have to live with the name Adelson rather than their real last name of Markel that was robbed from them a year after the Adelsons murdered their father.

So many tragedies lately! I’ve been in tears today. I just learned a few minutes ago on Nancy Grace RU-vid, that a beautiful college girl , very talented musician in Tennessee was walking in the park at 2 pm and a stray bullet hit her in the head and she died. And of course, the suspect had many felonies and 3 psychiatrists had testified that he was not a threat!! 😡😡😡

My heart goes out to the Markel family. Especially the children. Can you imagine growing up and your parents divorcing, fighting, and dad getting murdered. To now finding out your own mother, grandmother and uncle are the ones that had him murdered! On top of that I'm sure they were told how terrible their father's parents are and finding out they were actually living with the real evil. I pray they can get the help they need ❤
That’s been on my mind throughout all of this madness!!! Those poor boys… Their lives changed drastically when they lost their father. And, with each of these evil individuals’ arrests, their lives are changing dramatically over and over!! They’re still young, and probably don’t fully understand things right now, but they will eventually find out the truth about everything, and their lives will change once again! 😢
I believe those boys are going to distance themselves from Wendy. As they discover how terrible she is, in addition to the rest of that horrible family!! Because that family has to reap what they’ve sown!!

This case shows the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Donna is the polar opposite of Ruth Markel, who has shown grace and dignity throughout this horrible ordeal.

Wendi is rarely mentioned as the ring leader. No doubt in my mind, she knew and helped orchestrate this heinous murder for hire against her children's Father.
I think Donna was the ring leader from day one, but I believe Wendi certainly knew what was going on. I wonder if she will ever have to pay for her part, though. She has seemed to be able to distance herself.
I like how you mentioned “he was killed bcuz he loved his kids” basically down to that! And you also said, “Wendy couldn’t be a big girl and be a mom away from her parents…” It is what it is. Great passion on this case. I hope the Adelsons all go down in prison. Those poor boys will lose everything.
Poor Shelly, Dan’s sister. She gets no attention. She lost her only sibling. When Phil and Ruth pass away, Shelley will be alone. I hope she has cousins and nieces and nephews. And maybe her own family. And I hope by then there’s a permanently clear way for her to be involved in the lives of Ben and Lincoln.
I can't believe Ruth has to have a visit with the boys that includes Wendi. That must be so incredibly difficult considering her likely involvement. God bless her and the kids.

I’d like to send my deepest condolences to Ruth Markel. I’m so sorry these horrid people took it upon themselves to take Dan’s life, and for what? I’ve been reading some of Dan’s law papers & learning more about his perspective on crime & punishment. I don’t want this awful event to be what he is remembered for, his work was truly inspiring. My lovely wife and I watched as much of C. Adelsons trial that our daily commitments, responsibilities and schedules would permit. What an incredible moment it was watching that arrogant, narcissistic fool receive by hearing the verdict read aloud the penalty that he and the rest involved had eluded for far too long! What an amazing job well done by the prosecution team!
The Adelsons were worth many millions!! They had the dental practice and made millions but also own a good bit of real estate in Miami. I think they thought they would never get caught but I’m so glad they did!! Just infuriating what they did to Dan!! 😡😡. He attended Harvard then Cambridge college in England for his master’s degree and back to Harvard for his law degree. An absolutely brilliant professor at Florida State University Law School.
When I compare her demeanor on the stand versus her demeanor during the interrogation I think she as more honest during the interrogation. I think her family kept her sheltered from the plot to avoid her culpability.
I am always amazed just how easy it is for people to just kill people. Take another persons life away and just not GAF. What amazes me even more is that folks truly do believe that they will get away with it! What in the world.
She changed her account with each trial 1st trial -denied turning onto Trescott 2nd trial says she WAS on Trescott and 4 houses from crime scene 3rd trial- back to her first account of not turning onto Trescott Yes she lied. PS with Det Isom hours after the murder-she admitted she was on Trescott. So twice she was on Trescott, twice she wasn’t on Trescott. Which is it Wendi?
I had no idea how long Trescott was until seeing the video with Judy and Fanci. It's 0.9 miles from Centerville to Dan's house. It's not like turning onto Trescott and driving 100 yards until the road block. And Charlie had the gall to testify that Wendi never even turned on Trescott.

Yes it is long, and the entrance to Trescott from Centerville is a mile away from the house. Did she really think she could get away with lying once again at Charlies trial? She should have just stayed with the truth from the second trial. She would be in much better shape legally. Now shes done.

We don’t know about the Whatsapp. I have watched her testimony from the 3 trials and her interview with Isom so many times and every time I watch her with Isom, I find something else. Such as her voice mails with Dan on the day of the murder. And the issues with him wanting to take the kids to the pool being a distraction from her not returning his calls about the kids school (Bc she knew the boy would never be attending the school)etc etc. I can write and essay. Here supposed laryngitis that week is a big lie. The state had enough on the whole family to arrest them all in 2016 but politics got in the way. An affluent family with political connections to judges. So I’m guessing Georgia will reel them in one at a time..just sad they had those boys for all these years . And they were able to brainwash the boys. I am praying for the boys. It has to be horrible to lose a dad and be told lies about it.

I wish you and your family all the love in the world ❤❤ I am not generally happy or excited when I see people arrested, it's a sad day for their families and people left behind to deal with the chaos of finding out your loved one has committed a crime. It devastates them and turns their life inside out. HOWEVER..... I was extremely excited and happy to learn of Donna's arrest and following indictment. The woman is a heartless, arrogant, narcissistic wench who absolutely deserves everything that she has coming. The wire tap calls, her own writing in emails etc are absolutely diabolical and disgusting. I hope she rots in that cell, what she did to her grand babies is absolutely unforgivable. The only downside is that they don't have enough to charge Wendi and Harvey. Wendi is 100% culpable and should be charged as such. Any mother that has a part in their kids pain should be ashamed of herself. I hope and pray Ruth gets custody of the boys so Dan can be forever remembered as the doting, loving father he was. Vinnie….thank you for having Ruth Markel on the show tonight. I live only 45 minutes from where she lives in Ontario, Canada. She’s such a strong mama….I can’t begin to imagine what they have been through. Bless the Markel family, including Dan two boys. My heart breaks for Ruth and if Wendi had ANY sort of remorse, she would have ensured the kids get to see their grandparents - it is bad enough that they had their father murdered but to then make sure they never got to see their grandparents and no doubt been fed a bunch of lies, its incredibly sad.

Remember when Wendi Adelson was on witness stand was questioned about the children visiting their grandparents on father side and only she said the Markel Law (grandparents right) was unconstitutional. But 48 states have this law since state of Florida passed two years ago
I know Wendy i met her when she ran back to miami with her two boys. They played basketball with my kids. Wendy would bring her parents and brother to watch the games . It is heartbreaking and disgusting. The worst part is that after her children’s father was murdered by her family she changed their name to her families name that murdered their dad! How sick is that. My heart breaks for these innocent grandparents who not only lost their son but also grandkids. The whole family should be in prison and not together. The facts are clear
