Never have I heard Amazing Grace sung with such reverence and expression. It revealed the author’s conviction and regret of a sinful life and the gratitude for forgiveness.
Amazing Grace has practically become America’s National anthem since we’ve had so many mass shootings in the past few years. His voice on this song is what we need now. Maybe he needs to come sing for America soon.
I had a bad time with depression about 17 years ago. 15 years ago I climbed out of that pit but I left some things behind and some things were taken from me. I lost my love for music quit listening to it for 15 years. A friend sent me a music video of a metal singer doing amazing Grace. I didn't open it for 4 days. In one day opened it. From the first time I heard his voice I was mesmerized. By the time he got to bright shining as the sun, my heart was full, tears were flowing, I felt my soul dropped to its knees, I had to come back to God moment and my love for music was reborn. The Lord worked through that man's voice to give me back my love for music. I've already thanked God wish I could thank Mr Vasc. Ever since, I've been drinking it all in like a tall glass of ice water on a hot Summer's day. Loving the old s*** and discovering the new s***. Love your show.❤❤❤
By far, the most beautiful rendition I have ever heard. There is a song he sings which will stop you dead in your tracks. He sounds like an fighter Archangel. Blew my mind how passionate and strong his voice was. Out of this world. Literally.
This was the first song I ever heard that Dan Vasc sang. I've been a fan of his ever since. EPIC!!! That's the only way I can describe this level of talent. I'm blown away.
Anyone, that has Jesus in their hearts...or has EVER known Jesus Christ and accepted Him as their Lord and Savior..I guarantee you will cry EVERYTIME you listen to this performance What a Beautiful Gift from God!! Love you all 🙏❤️✝️
@@rubenfernandezcampos8648 yes Brazil is in South America which is not technically America we're actually talking about the country not the continents in general, we would have sent them to Texas
@@Miss.Glow78 United States of America. South America is America yet. And North America are The United States plus Canada. I think. South and North America are America. There isn't a country named America. I only recognize The United States of America, sorry.
@@stepinthyme1624 That's really sweet. My mom is a church lady in her 60's, and doesn't appreciate my love of heavy music haha. But I played her Dan's rendition of this song, and she was moved to tears. She then gave me a list of other hymns he should do haha
@@stepinthyme1624 back when i was younger my grandfather and i would sing hymns including Amazing Grace together. i wish he was still here so i could show him this but he sadly passed away when i was still in high school.
He just sang that song for each and every single lost soul on this planet!!! Never a better rendition have I ever heard! I'm sure he brings a smile to God's face every time this recording is played🖐
I've listened to Dan singing Amazing Grace multiple times. I'm 70 years old I love his rendition! Singing Bold and Ferocious. This is a song of redemption, freedom, it's so powerful.
I played this for many people, All races, different religions, even different languages as well as Republicans and Democrats and they ALL had the same reaction. Amazing
I can not get enough of him singing this beautiful hymn. Everytime I listen to Dan singing this I feel up lifted, this is how a hymn is supposed to be, to give you a strength you feel, and still there is calm.
I am 70 years young and this man has sent my heart beating all over the place. He has talent way past the super bowl. My dad has been gone for many many years but wanted this song at his memorial. He was just a child then bu I
WOW...WOW...WOW, One of the most beautiful version of Amazing Grace i have ever heard, what a beautiful and powerful voice, Never underestimate a Metal Singer singing Gospel, Opera or Ballads simply great, Total Respect to Dan Vasc.
Every time I hear him sing this, I cry from JOY, he truly has the power of Jesus in him. God will use all kinds of people to spread His message. I see the same reaction in your face Dave, the power he gives in his voice can only come from God. hallelujah ❤❤🎚🙏. You have been selected by Him to spread this message, you are special!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
There are so many dimensions to this version sung by Dan, and he elevates his covers to perfection! He takes us on a spiritual journey on each plateau and I'm loving it!
I wont even lie. The first time i heard it i started to get choked up. I even was like "why the heck am i getting emotional?" Dan just did THAT good a job
Easily one of the best male performances of Amazing Grace. Never heard of him until today. As for you Dave, it's obvious that you were very genuinely moved!
Honestly this is the best rendition of Amazing Grace. He's truly are an Amazing musician with the Most powerful voice I have ever heard. His version of any song is Breathtaking 💯🔥💯
Dave, my dude, I'm 70 yo and when to told me to straighten up, I DID! 😄 The first time I heard Dan Vasc sing Amazing Grace, I was stunned! I have to wonder if he had professional voice training, his power and control are so impressive. I can see a sweet little mother somewhere in his background trying to equate her dreams of her famous opera star son with the reality of his heavy metal fame. I have to say, the harmonica was wonderful! I do love the depth and breadth of the harmonics versatility. From the blues to classical, the harmonica is marvelous! I've watched the growth and development of one young man, he started teaching himself to play at the age of 6 through RU-vid videos, and he is now being mentored by the great Billy Davis! I've seen the performances of others Billy has mentored and can only say that he is generous in the sharing of his knowledge and experience. I remember just how full the place was at his 80th birthday years ago; not just with people, but with love, friendship and respect. My young friend, Mighty Michael, is so blessed in his mentor. And here I am wandering off topic...again! I have subscribed, because I will enjoy hearing more from you.
Dave, I’ve lost count of how many times I have watched this video. Equal parts enjoyment of seeing and hearing Dan , with equal parts of watching your reactions. This was a “come to Jesus” performance.
WOW!!! What a voice. That gave me goosebumps! I've seen that man's name a few times but never listened to him until now. Off to check out his channel straight away!
You won't regret entering the rabbit hole known as Dan Vasc music. I've been happily lost in it since 9/15/20, when I heard The Sound Of Silence by him for the first time.
I first heard him from his original song that he made to be an intro for Friday Night Tights. It's awesome. It hooked me into that stream the first time I tuned in a year and 4 months ago. His Mulan "I'll Make a Man Out of You" cover is awesome as well.
6/19/23. First heard Dan less than a week ago. He blessed my heart. God gave him talent and he has honed it to perfection. I can't get enough of his songs. Amazing, indeed!
It’s like you have been visited by your soul to me anyway, this voice should be on the world stage, his range is amazing. This should be the anthem for humanity.
Dan is from Juiz de Fora, Brazil, but he’s planning to come to the States this year. The harmonica, he told those who were watching him on Fortnite on Locked and Loaded Latinos last night was his dad’s. Paul M is correct - Dan does an excellent rendition of our National Anthem, and the next day, he released an “apology” video for the people who were offended by him doing it. Now that the housekeeping stuff is out of the way, excellent reaction as always. Your descriptions are always so spot-on, and watching your facial expressions is a treat. Keep up the great work!
Why would he need to apologise? You have the freedom to be an American no matter where you come from, no matter where you go, no matter who you are. It would make me proud to see another person from a totally different country singing the anthem of we the people.
@@jebVlogs556 you obviously didn’t watch the apology, did you? He sang that anthem with UNAPOLOGETIC passion for American freedom and patriotism. The so-called “apology” video was a *middle-finger salute* to the anti-american crybabies who were offended. Yup, he flipped them the bird. And that made me love him even more! Btw, he didn’t do it out of disrespect. He was just unapologetically standing up for what he believes in. Go listen to it.
Dan Vasc is a youngling yet he putting the grace out there. This song from him brings tears to my eyes and that is rare for me. Dude has a voice and following to lead people back to God.
He performs all songs to the best of his abilities and all are PHENOMONAL! The way they should be sung; with enthusiasm, respect, and conviction. Thank you, Dave, for also doing your reactions with respect! I really appreciate it. And yes, even as a Brazilian, he sings the US National Anthem the way WE SHOULD sing it!!!
This version is awesome!! His voice is God sent. I always get emotional hearing it. I picked Dan's version of this song for my dad's funeral as a rock send off for my dad. And I love seeing your reaction to his cover of the song.
I was thinking the same thing on the next Super Bowl.... Dan is amazing! Heard him for the first time last night, I could not sleep, and this song came up in my feed... I cried ....
I heard this for the first time today. I was floored. His voice is just remarkable. So much passion and his range is out of this world. I would love to hear him and Chris Stapleton sing together.
Sure is amazing to listen to him singing, I just love it I feel the anointing of the Holy Spirit gives me goosebumps. God bless him heaps and use him for the Kingdom of God. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yes!! That is EXACTLY what I felt!! Goosebumps all over, but not normal ones. It was like I had them in every layer of skin!! And each one was pouring the Holy Spirit into my veins!! I've NEVER heard anyone sing this song that good!! He made it, come alive!!! You should hear him sing the " Star Spangled Banner" same thing, but with tears!!!!😎😎😎
Those vocal notes Dan are loooong. Given that harmonica goes through your breath faster than voice, I have even more respect for his ability to hold them harmonica notes.
You should hear him sing our National Anthem !!! He should sing it, at ALL our big events!! I'm serious!! I'm spoiled now, and don't want to hear any other version!! Of this song or the Star Spangled Banner!!! His voice is ....Angelic!!! He, himself is AMAZING!! 😎😎😎
I love watching " first time Dan Vasc reactions to Amazing Grace! You were great! Dan takes us to the Holy Spirit!!! I listen to this every morning ! Sets me straight.
❤back again. This one always brings me to tears. Some others do too. Dan touches our hearts... our souls, and our minds with his music. Thank God he deceided to become a singer. None better... ❤ As always, LOVE your reactions Dave. You're the best.
