Enjoyed your reaction. This is one of my favorites from Dan. But Mulan was never a "female" song. The original in the cartoon (er, um "animated film") was performed/sung by Donny Osmond. If you want to hear him speak, he has plenty of videos where he did speaking "outros." A few that come to mind are: "Bring Me to Life" - an Evanescence cover, "Toss a Coin to Your Witcher, " and "Priscilla's song" (both his metal cover of that song and the acoustic version he did of that song).

Thank you for your reaction! Dan Vasc is constantly evolving. He speaks on some of his older videos. I'm sure you will get to hear him speak eventually. His English has improved tremendously in the 14 years he has been on RU-vid. I heard him say he sounds like a Shakespearian Indian (LOL).

Take a listen to his Bring me to Life, Evanescence cover. Incredible - and he does an outro on that one and quite a few others , so you can hear him speak.
As others have already mentioned, Dan's surname is pronounced with a short "a" sound like apple, not the elongated "ah" sound that those of us who speak the King's english might use 😉 This song was originally performed in the animated movie by Donnie Osmond, a US male performer, one of The Osmond Brothers and brother of Marie Osmond. The Osmond family are from Utah, were major entertainers during the 70s and early 80s, with Las Vegas residency that lasted many years, as well as touring internationally. Donnie and Marie had a syndicated television variety show and a number of chart hits. I think Donnie was also a guest artist on The Masked Singer at one point, but I'm not entirely sure...🤔 🙃🐨🇦🇺

That´s definively a male song. In the movie Commander Shang sings it. But Dan Vasc has a whole playlist with songs originally sung by women. You should check it out.
I think in the Scene where General Chang sag this song he was voiced by Jackie Chan. And that was amazing for what they made out of the possiblities they had when the film was released in the cinemas in 1998🤔. But Dan Vasc is on a whole other level when he covers that song. They should remaster the first movie of Mulan and put Dan Vasc in for singing this . That would truly be phenomenal.🤩
I don't understand your intro. This song was originally sung by Donny Osmond and is sung by the Captain who was training Mulan and her fellow trainees. It's not a female's song.
