Thanks Norm. I hope I am doing this some justice. I made a couple mistakes this weekend during reassembly which cost me a seal but all in all I feel like the transfer case will be in good shape.
@@normbrooks1488 Ha. Seriously I was fighting mad by the end of part 2 of the rebuild (video out Wednesday evening or Thursday). Just a careless mistake the replacement seals will be here tomorrow so I can insert it into the video. We all make mistakes just when it is in front of the camera makes it worse. Thank you like always for your support.
Great step by step tear down. When I get that far on mine I will definitely come back to watch this again. Keep up the awesome work! I like the name change.
I just picked up a 68 Bronco and while looking at other builds I found your channel. It's nice to see a real human building something and making mistakes and learning and then sharing to help others. I'm waiting on parts for my D20 - hopefully they arrive today so I can reassemble it on the weekend. I'm a long way from done, but maybe we'll see you out there some time!
Rob I appreciate you watching. I am just having fun doing what I enjoy. The videos give Jonie and my girls something to do and gets them involved in the build. We can't wait to join in on the Bronco cruises and events. Good luck on the Dana give me a shout if you run into a question. I will try to help.
Thanks David! I am no expert but hopefully it will help you. I did wreck one seal because I got ahead of myself but maybe it will help you all not do the same thing. We live and we learn.
Jason & Jonie Builds I totally understand....this past weekend I added the TBP front powered disc and king pins and axle universals on my Dana 30. I dropped the universal cap and lost all the needle bearings out on the floor. Of course....no local parts stores had the right universal so I had to wait till yesterday to finish. I totally get it :)
Keep up the good work! I know exactly what you mean about not getting rid of grandpas tools. I have three hammers that are over 100 years old. They drive nails just as well as anything other hammer!
@@JasonJonieBuilds sorry to be a pest but I watched your video and I ordered the same shift rails but mine is a Dana 20 J shift. I already had them installed at the transmission shop while the overhauled the transfer case and now i have the transfer case mounted on the transmission adapter. Is there any way to make them work or do I need to order new shift rails? If i get new shift rails can they be installed without opening up the transfer case?
