I'm glad I'm not the only one who ships these two. They had signs like no tomorrow. I wish Cody never left the show and was replaced by Richie. These two still had a place in my heart even though Dana and Richie were a thing. Thank you for this amazing video. Codana forever.

Cody was so cool, it's a shame Sasha never made it big. Everyone always talked about Family Matters and Urkel during TGIF, but I was always a Step by Step kid.
Staci (Dana) said during an interview that they were gearing towards a finale where she and Rich got married before the show was canceled. In another universe, where Cody hadn't left, I like to think maybe it would have been him.
I really don't think it would have been Dana and Cody because even before Rich as close the families got seems the show realised that lots of people would just have found it weird and inappropriate, it was a family show after all. So I still think Dana would have ended with Rich, maybe they would have found a girl for Cody too
LOVE this! These two were always my favorites -- I'm glad they got to do so much together while Sasha was on the show. I can't remember if I shipped them as a kid, but they really are so funny and cute together ❤

Nothing. They moved away from Cody crushing on Dana by season 2 because they realized things would be more and more awkward the closer the family got and the more they began to look at each other as family. By later seasons he became more of like an annoying big brother to her.
this was lovely, thank you for making it. They compliment each other so beautifully. Their eyes & body language do all the talking. One point in the show that sticks out to me is in season 1 episode 7, after dana doesn't want to give everyone their mail anymore because of cody, she goes to the fridge & he is still looking back at her as he's walking ♥

I forgot all about them! It's been years since I watched Step by Step and I don't remember why he disappeared. I know he came back in a later season and obviously you can tell her hair is shorter and she's older in that scene.
The actor was fired for domestic violence allegations against his wife. From what I've read.. it seems unclear. I've read stories about multiple assault allegations from his wife. Other stories saying she was abusive against his kids and that the charges against him were later dropped. Idk what is true but despite my questionable lack of respect for the actor.. I love this character so much and what he represents. Seeing the good in everyone and everything. It made me happy to watch him and I was disappointed we didn't get to see more of him.
@@lindseycassella3015 Disappeared randomly the last few episodes of season 5. Then it was mentioned that he moved the first episode of season 6. (Which is listed as the finale. So if you watch, "Bonjour Jean Leuc" is the first episode of season 6. Not the last.) And he returned the next to last episode in the last season.
@@DanielleW1992 he was innocent & the charges were dropped against him. He was protecting the kids & didn't do anything wrong. Sasha is just as amazing as his character Cody.

The show wasn’t the same after they kicked him off the show, big mistake on their part. Cody was one of the reason I started watching after few years being on tv.

My memory is dodgy since I was 4 when it aired. I know the show was kinda an updated Brady bunch where 2 families get together but were Cody and Dana step siblings? If not, I think the chemistry is there and they should have got together.
