i think maddie probably did better with cry but that’s because the solo was tailored for her and also there’s proof that she actually had learned the dance wayyyy earlier before the show started and then performed it on the show
With Kendall’s solo I felt like it didn’t flow as well as Maddie’s. Maddie made hers seem so effortless and flawless while Kendall just seemed like she was going through the movements

Maddie rules listen to what he's saying ! There is no way Kendall is as nearly as good as Maddie and never will be ! She actually got worse with age especially on the irreplaceables so was Chloe! The only good one on the irreplaceables was Kaloni of course!

First things first, I love your dark hair, and second, Kendall’s didn’t feel as rushed, and her technique showed exponential improvement compared to past seasons but lacked the emotion execution that Maddie’s had. Keep up your amazing work! 😘

fool me once is honestly in my top 5 Maddie solos, i love the costume, song, and choreo. she looks so beautiful and obviously kendall’s style is jazz and i feel like this was not a fair competition because of how often maddie does contemporary or lyrical.
Chloe also learned this solo but wasn’t allowed to dance it. She danced in the actual video though. This was also one of my most favorite Maddie solos. I love the song as well.

I think Kendall was trying really hard to be good because she knew maddie had already done the solo and Abby had high expectations for her so she was more focused on technique and being clean than emoting. I feel like Abby put a lot of pressure on Kendall this week and wasn’t really dancing for her, she was dancing for Abby. There are other solos where her technique isn’t as good but you can really see the emotion, I wish she was like yeah I’m great and just danced for herself.
The comment, “Did you see that turn” could have been about Maddie’s - or any turn that day. They edit the heck out of that show! Kendall did a lovely job and is a great dancer, but Maddie is better
I know you usually only do Dance Mom comparisons, but are you aware of the fact that the artist responsible for the song in this video chose Chloe to dance in the actual visual for the song. I would love it if you did a video on Chloe's performance. Her choreography is completely different from what you see here (from Maddie and Kendall); and she performed this nearly a year after leaving Dance Moms, during the time that I personally believe Chloe was at her best. I would love to hear your thoughts on Chloe's artistic interpretation of this song, being that her's was not a competitive dance number, but a professional gig that she was handpicked for. I feel like everyone is way too harsh on Kendall... they forget she’s been in the public eye since she was 8!!! And had been being compared to Maddie for literally half of her life. Of course she isn’t gonna be fully confident in herself. She’s a stunning dancer, but all of the hate and comparisons are stopping her from reaching her fullest potential.
Jenna Elizabeth I feel like she got compared to Maddie for the most part because Jill came in wanting to be Maddie and if Maddie was gone Jill would be like, oh well Kendall’s here so she can have a solo

I 100% agree with you on this. Abby put Maddie on this pedestal, and all the girls probably felt they needed to be like her to be good, where that is completely not the case. They all are amazing in their own right. And I hate they all had to grow up in this art field feeling lesser than...I truly hope that changes for all the girls.
Unfortunately the entire premise of Dance Moms was comparing. I’m pretty darn sure that it was all for the show though. I can imagine, “you’re beautiful and wonderful just the way you are. But, once the cameras roll just ignore me.” “Action” “BE MADDIE!”
Just a random thought I got from you mentioning how Abby would choreograph attitude turns in their solos when they weren't ready for it, it seems like she frequently puts things that are too technically advanced for a lot of the girls in their solos. For example, I keep noticing Nia and Paige did not have very good ariels early on, yet Abby kept putting them into their solos. Every dancer has their own strength and it just seems like Abby would use the same few moves in all the girl's solos whether it was one of their strengths or not (especially the side ariels).
I agree. I feel like since she choreographs through spoken word, not through demonstration, she would just spit out a string of choreography and probably had these chain sequences memorized by wrote memory that she would just toss out at them. that's why they had so many similar steps and similar sequences. Just my theory!
You know who would’ve blown Maddie out of the water on this one? Chloe. And Abby knew she could, she didn’t for one sec believe Kendall could win or get a similar score as Maddie. So rude because when they all 3 finally did it as a trio at the reunion, they looked amazing and nailed the technique and emotion. IMO, some of the best dancing Chloe, Maddie, and Kendall did on the show when they performed this as a trio. Edit: had to change words that autocorrected to something else.
I loved all three of them doing this number. I wish I got to see Chloe do it as a solo. I personally loved Kendall's performance too, It's just a shame she had to do it coming off the back of Maddie winning with this solo that really suited her acting style.
She wouldn't have. She already did the dance all three of them did it and Maddie was still better. She puts her everything into her dance. And sorry but yah Maddie still did it better the emotion the technique and the performance.

In my opinion, Kendall has much better technique than people give her credit for. Yes, she has her “not so good” moments, but I honestly love Kendall. Side note: Your relevé and your jumps are so high😍😍
Jordan maybe you should be Kendals inspiration she is a beautiful dancer lacks trust in herself as Maddie is very confident and a beautiful dancer i never compared any of them myself i loved every dancer as they all were special in their own way butvon the whole Maddie was always given the best choreography most of the time in solos
It's funny you say that, because when I met Kendall, I felt SO insecure and nervous meeting someone I'd watched on TV for years, and SHE was laughing at ME and said to Maddie 'omg he's shaking, that's so cute' HAHAHA. So it was really funny and ironic to be in a situation where the kid was the confident, comfortable one, and I was super nervous! I personally feel the strongest pull towards Kendall if I were going to coach ANY of these kids, because I feel like she would benefit the most from my coaching style if that makes sense. I have ALWAYS been literally like screaming at the TV screen trying to get her to show real emotion. But I feel like I could get her to dance from her heart EVERY time after just 1 conversation! She just needs support from a coach that sees how she functions and WHY she struggles in the areas that are her weaknesses, and I feel like I could help her that way!
Kendall's posture especially her shoulders do draw my eye in the negative sense, she holds all the stiffness in the shoulders and they not only creep up they roll forward too ...such a shame x

@@JordanJSparks I was a dancer from the age of 19 months old and i still retain a good posture even though i have got very bad osteoarthritis. She had bad posture when she first appeared on the show so i am surprised Abby didn't strap a broom handle to her or make her wear one of those posture correctors with the straight jacket feel to them LOL! one of those perching or posture stools would be good to help your back xxx
I think Maddie and Kendall are both awesome. Kendal works really really hard and blends in so well w groups, but individually she just doesnt stand out somehow, and when she dances w Maddie this shows more. Kendal is a gr8 versitile dancer, but she just needs some kind of signature thats her own that i find her lacking a lot. She is absolutely beautiful, but I just want to see her find her own unique signature somehow...
I loved when Kendall did that gyspsy dance, she really thrived in the group dance w the minis doing a dance from India too...I think maybe if she expolores that part of her she might find a spark. I agree w everything u said too Jordan 💗
They already did it ! And I don't know if you saw the video but they purposely made Maddie seem like a brat ,they made her say things all the time and you can tell when they showed it ! They made Chloe into the angel ,so not fair !

I actually preferred Kendall's version to Maddie's. To me at least Maddie's seemed kind of rushed and the emotion seemed forced. I liked the way Kendall's naturally flowed through the movements. It looked better to me.
